The space was perfect for everything we needed, and although we had our ceremony down the road at Old Mill Park, it would have been a beautiful place to have that too. The space is so gorgeous it needs very little additional decoration, and everything you add is just magnified by the surroundings. As a historic building in a small town they have a number of rules and restrictions, and when we decided to book I did wonder if they might be difficult to plan around. But it wasn't hard at all, and everything from the decor to the music was exactly as I hoped and not held back at all. I would definitely strongly recommend booking vendors who are familiar with OAC though, because with them you never have to worry about a thing, knowing they have it handled! I'll specifically mention music volume, as that was the main thing I worried about - we wanted a dance party, and we got one without any issue! Our DJ (Airsun) was really familiar with OAC and with our coordinator (Stacey Dillon) - who herself works there all the time - and they all knew what they needed to do, so I didn't worry for even a second about it. And I never would have guessed there were any sound restrictions by the experience, it didn't hold back the party at all. The facilities manager Dave did a great job with setup and was so kind and helpful about drop off and pickup of all our stuff. We also worked with Rodney of Marin Event Lighting to hang bistro lights (he is the only one allowed to do it) and they were gorgeous and perfect. They also require you work with one of their approved caterers, and Sage did a phenomenal job! OAC is a stunning hidden gem in Mill Valley and I would highly recommend it for any event!

We had our wedding in September 2023 at the Outdoor Art Club, and I could not be happier with every detail. We had visited many venues, and nothing gave us the right vibe until we stepped foot into the OAC. What's most important to me is always the people, and every single person we got to work with there was beyond helpful and kind. David helped us plan out the most perfect layout for our group. He is so fun and a true delight to be around. He made everything flow and planning with him was a piece of cake because he knows exactly what to do! Mary was welcoming from Day 1, super responsive always, and a pleasure to work with. Kenny was also a great person to meet, and he does a great job with the grounds - always offering a kind word and a smile! Hilary was there the day of our wedding and she kept everything in check. Beyond the people, the venue is so naturally beautiful and has such a storied history. Guests were so happy to be there, and kept commenting on how beautiful the flowers and grounds were kept. You also cannot beat the location to downtown Mill Valley, and yet it still feels very tucked away and private from the hustle and bustle of the town! We are so happy to have had our special day at the Outdoor Art Club with all the wonderful OAC staff and volunteers who made it a happen.

Parking is tight for lunches, as golfers are golfing, but in the evenings, plenty of spaces. A nice option.

The grounds were absolutely stunning and the flowers were in full bloom, and the combination of the lush outdoor ceremony space and the elegant indoor cocktail area made everything feel magical and perfectly balanced. One of our favorite touches was the grand piano, which a Paella Time (catering vendor) played during our first look, it was such a unique and emotional moment. The venue itself is a gorgeous, historic Victorian house with incredible charm. We took some of our favorite photos in front of the stained glass windows, which added so much character and warmth. My wife especially loved the bridal suite, where she shared sweet first-look moments and photos with her mom and bridesmaids. It felt intimate, relaxed, and timeless. As San Rafael locals, we were so impressed by how affordable the venue was for everything it offered. Working with Patty and the entire Falkirk team was effortless--they were kind, flexible, and truly accommodating every step of the way. We feel so lucky they had our date available. This venue will forever hold a special place in our hearts.

The kind of people that say "hello" in passing, or even stop and talk for a while. And, oh, the flowers! So many beautiful flowers. The roses are in full bloom again, which is delightful! I love that our sweet pup loves to come here to sniff and walk around. She's an older girl now, and as old age issues are coming upon her-each day with her is a gift. So, to see her joy when pitter pattering the grounds just touches my heart and forces me to be completely present in the moment.

Except for my husband, we were all used to walking around the Huntington Gardens and Descandso Gardens in So Cal, which are now much larger and more diverse. Plus, winter is not the best time to visit a garden. That said, we all had a lovely walk. The parking is easy and accessible. The paths are wide and well marked. Dogs are allowed on leash. The gardens are well maintained and the other buildings are well maintained. I realize that there is parking, including handicap parking, by the Barn Theater where Ross Valley Theater has plays. My husband is recovering from extensive open heart surgery with significant complications and he was able to walk all around with us and is encouraged to know that we will be able to go to local live theater. It's a great place to go for ideas, take kids, walk dogs, and unwind. It's free! So you don't have to worry about saving money. Great value.

The place completely transformed into this wonderful fairy tale enchantment that was perfect for the couple. Absolutely a charming place. They transformed this place from the ceremony with the arbor with pretty floral arrangements and rows of chairs with umbrellas to a full dining delight in round tables, linen, flowers and umbrellas. So so special. And at night with the white lights on the trees and the hanging light above the dance floor was just picture perfect! I also should mention the bridal suite is large enough for the bridal party (and then some) with a makeup/hair artist to get ready in. Thank you so much to the staff who worked here that evening, the coordinator here at Flying Cloud and a big thank you to Julia who was wonderful to work with (at rehearsal and day of wedding), so calm and she made sure everything turned out perfectly for the couple's epic day. Where do I start? How can I write a review about a place and person that facilitated the best day…read moreof my life? I will be reliving my dream wedding for all of eternity and its success was largely due to choosing the perfect venue. Literal perfection. Firstly, the value you get when booking a wedding at Flying Cloud is unmatched. We toured 5 or 6 different venues and Flying Cloud offered the best option by far. They offer coordination day of and for months leading up to the event. This alone was priceless. You NEED day of coordination at a MINIMUM to have a successful wedding and Julia was the best coordinator I could have asked for. We met Julia the first day we toured the venue and over the 10 months of planning met multiple other times and communicated via email/text without issue. Julia provides spreadsheets that keep you on track with planning and that was so helpful! With the price of the venue you also get chairs, tables, umbrellas and countless other items you would otherwise have to purchase or rent. This is a huge value. The space itself is so versatile and there were so many options for ceremony and reception space. My guests raved to me about how the venue was perfect and so beautiful. Everything was clean and well kept. The mature trees and vineyards in the front made for excellent photo backdrops. It was obvious that there is a well oiled wedding machine in place and I benefitted greatly from their experience in event planning. Flying Cloud has an extensive preferred vendor list which at first I thought may be limiting. Let me tell you that vendors don't make it on this list without proven excellence. The only vendor I had an issue with in 10 months of planning was one that was not on the preferred list. I used a DJ, photographer, bakery, florist, officiant and caterer from their list and everything was executed flawlessly. They also handle the rental order for you. We used Heirloom rentals and that was so convenient. We had access to the venue as early as we needed day of, which for me was 8AM. We also had access the day before for rehearsal and to drop off items. I dropped off so much crap (all the florals that I DIY'd, candles and hurricanes, guest favors, polaroid guest books, 2 mirrors, framed photos, potted plants, ladder ball, a ton of alcohol and more. We used 3 cars to take everything) that Julia and her staff had to display and make look good and cohesive, I was amazed how they had time to do it all and never seemed rushed or stressed. Julia also set up a s'mores station and coffee station for us which was awesome! Directly after our ceremony we went back to the bridal suite to sign our marriage license and our signature drinks and appetizers were waiting for us. This is the kind of thoughtfulness that comes with experience and true professionalism! The bridal suite was such a nice space to get ready. It was spacious and Julia had gallons of water waiting for us. There is a refrigerator, a dressing space, lots of natural light, an excellent lighted, mirrored area for hair and makeup artists, a couch, table and chairs. My hair and makeup artists raved about the space. I had 8 people getting ready with me in that space and there was plenty of room. Julia and her team worked their asses off all day for me and I am so grateful! I think she may have secret magical powers. She fielded questions all day, directed vendors, set up the entire space and did so with a smile and while being kind. She made decisions for me when I didn't want to and everything ended up perfect. There is a reason this venue has won many awards. I can't say enough good things. I'd also like to note that time spent at the venue the day before for rehearsal was 1 hour from 9am to 10am Those who may think that having other parties at the venue on the day of their event is intrusive, should consider that they also had to rehearse the day before. There was another event the day after our Saturday wedding and I did not feel anything but excitement for others who are getting to celebrate their event at this amazing venue. Lastly, when planning I appreciated the transparency. I didn't have to jump through hoops to get their pricing and event packages. We spent $9000 for a Saturday in June. Our event ran from 4pm-10pm and I was at the venue to get ready at 8AM.

I work for a nonprofit and approached Ann about hosting an event for a group of top fundraisers. She was such a delight to work with, we toured the venue in the winter, and Ann met us with a book of pictures to show us exactly what the layout would look like when the tent was in place and everything was in bloom! Ann also helped send over all kinds of information needed for booking vendors and coordinating with the venue. She outlined everything we would need to know leading up to the event, and made sure to check in that we had everything we needed. Since we were traveling in from Texas, she even offered local recommendations for us to use throughout our entire weekend. And that's all before the event.. Day of was nothing less than PERFECTION. Ann took care of every detail, down to including flowers coordinated to our color scheme in the rest rooms! We had several attendees that need additional help with mobility challenges, and Ann's team was always ready to help transport them to and from the parking lot or anywhere needed! Dan helped coordinate our shuttles and made sure our arrival and departure we as easy as possible. Their entire staff was professional, kind and exceedingly helpful. Anytime I could even think to need help, they were ready and available to assist! I was running late to the venue with decorations and as soon as I arrived Ann gave me a big hug and told me she was so glad to see me and that she was starting to get nervous on my behalf! I felt like I was being welcomed by a friend and not just a vendor. All this to say, Rosewood Events is beautiful, so easy to work with, and provides the most incredible background for an event. A moment that captures their care and professionalism was when a splash of Balsamic dripped on the brides gown during the dinner, Shyla (banquet captain) fetched soda water and was on her knees helping to dab it. As we got to our big day, I felt confident that I could just sit back and enjoy, as every detail was organized and prepared and Steph knew our exact schedule to the minute. As things took longer than expected, she expertly helped us to adjust our schedule in the moment so we had the perfect time for it all. All the coordinators, particularly our day of coordinator, Steph, were super communicative throughout the whole process leading up to the day of our wedding feel very smooth + removed a lot of the stress. They were able to take care of a lot of the logistical details we didn't want to worry about while still working with us to customize things that made the wedding feel special/personal as well as coordinate with some outside vendors we brought in. They put in all the work up front so that the actual day felt very smooth and worry-free. The venue is also beautiful. The only small negative was that we had to move guests to the dance floor, which is a bit smaller/crowded for speeches since apparently they can't use mics in the dinner area, but I think this is due to some regulation out of their control. However, they still handled this transition well - it was just a bit inconvenient. Overall, would definitely reccomend!
