Went into the store, and with the help of Shae, decided on the Exquisite Tribute Spray which I was told was one their most popular arrangements. For an additional $50, we chose the deluxe ($230), over the standard ($180), as it would have a fuller appearance with the added flowers. Took some extra time and care in choosing the wording for the sash/banner as well as the card/note saying who the flowers are from. The following afternoon, when we arrived at the funeral home, we felt a huge let down when we saw the finished product. The arrangement had many White Carnations and Chrysanthemums (Filler Flowers) and very few White Roses (Premium Flowers)....As for the White Lilies, of the several that were present, only 2 were actually open, the rest were not even close to blooming which left the entire appearance very underwhelming. It was vastly different than what was pictured on their website and what I saw in the store just the previous day. What added to the overall dissatisfaction was that there was no sign of any card/note saying who the flowers were from. These were purchased on behalf of my aunts, from the old country, who find these details very important especially on sad occasions like this. If the service was longer than 2 days, we may have brought up our issues to them in hopes that they may be willing to improve and correct matters but there was no time. Although others have had positive experience(s) with this florist, we unfortunately can not say the same. The expectations set by the positive reviews along with the added expense were definitely not lived up to. Missing the mark on execution and attention to detail is why we will not use or recommend this place in the future.

I was really happy to come across this store in Hillcrest Mall. In terms of Totoro merchandise, there were colour variations I don't normally see, especially green. Of course, there are many sizes and colours of plushies to choose from, but also tote bags, figurines, and some neat in-store art decor that were all different from what I normally find. The really neat section for me is The Little Prince merchandise, which you don't tend to find much of elsewhere. Here, it rivals the extent of the Ghibli selection, with books, clothing, mugs, plushies, and puzzles. I was really eyeing the $45 Fox plushie, which was really nicely made, but I turned to one of their wooden 3D laser cutting puzzles instead, along with a mug that actually is from France. There were several books to choose from that went from toddler to adult level, including an absolutely gorgeous pop-up that really was more like a work of art for the coffee table. It's not a large space, but the amount of stock is still pretty good. The staff were polite and efficient in ringing up my purchases. When I saw the payment terminal I was worried that I wouldn't be able to get a paper receipt, but thankfully, it was provided without a hitch. This store is good enough to make Hillcrest Mall a return destination for me. If you're into Studio Ghible, The Little Prince, or Bandai, I would highly recommend checking them out. If you're into wooden puzzles and unusually themed puzzles as well, same. You can also check out their their website first to see what kind of merchandise they carry. I went to buy some plants to grow along side my daughter. (I was pregnant and thought it would be…read moreso nice to have a plant like that!) I didn't notice at first, but there was someone tailing me. I walked back and forth to be certain. Soon he was just standing two feet away from me. I ended up buying some plants (which I probably shouldn't have. One had some sort of blight.) I was going to ask for help at the counter. However, they were pretty rude at the cash and it was then I realized the follower worked there. Then two of them followed me all the way to the car. I don't know if they thought my pregnant belly was a plant or something, but I was just wearing a summer dress and sandals. No where to hide anything. Plus I was holding my wallet. No purse at all. Honestly, I was scared of the two workers following me. I called my friend to tell her just in case they decided to jump me. When I got to the car, they stared at me and quickly put my plants in the back, then drive away. I have never seen such behaviour and I'm still wondering if they were planning to jump or attack me. I will not shop there again.
