There's is usually a shorter queue for the help desk and the staff are always really helpful. They have private rooms for discussing your account in confidence or if you need to sort your overdraft, loan etc. Their 'quick pay' service is a small postbox on the wall and not very secure in my opinion. There are cash points inside as well as outside; the outside ones are usually quite busy. Overall, it's clean and tidy inside with friendly staff, it's just the queues that let it down.

On the upside whenever I go in, despite the wait the customer service is always excellent, and very rarely need to wait for an issue with my account to be resolved. They have 2 cash machines in the branch, which is useful because often the ones in the wall outside are being used by people who don't actually bank with natwest, so they rarely use the ones inside and they usually have little or no queue.

The layout of the bank is good - it is easy to see where you need to queue for various services. The staff are curtious and efficent and always seem to deal with the queue for the counter service very quickly. The cash points are always stocked up and working.

The building itself is pretty old but easy to access being right in the centre of town and all on one level. There are cash machines both inside and out so if you are using them during opening hours and are worried about taking money out you can at least put it away in a purse/wallet before you leave and feel a bit more secure. The red sofas in the reception area could do with being replaced though as they haven't stood up to the wear and tear!

It's a very small branch, with just a couple of cashier counters, and a very small banking hall. They do have an interview room for more private discussions. The branch has both internal and external ATMs. I have always found the staff here to be really helpful and friendly. I would definitely recommend this branch. I went in there recently with an enquiry as I was thinking of opening a business account. The member of staff I spoke to was really helpful and seemed to want to actually help me get the best account for my needs, rather than just get my business.

The staff in this branch are really friendly and always go out of their way to be helpful. I can't fault the staff at all and would definitely recommend this branch. I have savings accounts with the Darlington Building Society, and also have my mortgage with them at the moment. I've had my issues with the Head Office being slow and causing unnecessary delays with my mortgage, but I have to say the staff in the local branch were always helpful and they did whatever they could to help speed things up for me.

It has a number of cashier counters and an enquiry desk, and it always seems to be really busy and full of people. The staff are friendly and helpful, but I wish they would do something about the queues. When I last went in there I had to queue for ages to get to the enquiry desk, then I had to wait again for someone to be able to have a word with me. I only wanted general information about maybe switching my account from another bank to Nat West. They were helpful and gave me loads of information, but what I didn't like was that they asked for my name and address and phone number first! I just feel that's not necessary when I just wanted general information and hadn't even made up my mind. I daresay that directive came down from head office so it's not fair to blame the staff in the branch, but it did annoy me!
