You want to immerse yourself in Christmas any time of the year, this is a good spot to visit. Even in the sweltering heat of the summer, visiting this place will get you in the holiday spirit. The store is packed full of decorations, gifts and holiday snacks and drinks. The staff is friendly and quick to offer help and customization to Christmas tree decorations. The value seems to be on par with normal Xmas decor, nothing outrageous. They sell a lot of ornaments specifically to the area, mountain themed, or black bear themed, making for great keepsakes and momentous from your trip. If I could give 0 stars I would. I was in this store less than 5 mins. My husband and I walked in and smiled at the lady at the counter. She barely acknowledged us. Not even 2 mins later another family of the same race as the lady walked in and she greeted them before they could even get in the door good. "Hello. Have you been here before? Let me know if I can help you with anything". A min later another family of that race walked in and got the same greeting. I looked at the lady and she wouldnt even look me in the face. I told my husband if we cant get the same treatment then we do not need to give this store our patronage and we walked out. I was looking for the best Christmas stores in Gatlinburg and this came up. I love this place! It's not overwhelming or confusing like The Christmas Place in Pigeon Forge. We walked in and was greeted by the staff. They asked if it was our first time and if we need any help to holler. Very nice and down to earth. They have everything as well minus purchasing the Christmas Trees (Christmas Place offers that). But they do have Christmas decorations, ornaments, personalized ornaments, pets, and more! It is well organized and pricing is reasonable. They also have an upstairs more for wall art, more decor and more ornaments. We ended up getting two personalized ornaments and a small ornament for our friend. Which the lady was very kind. She had such pretty handwriting. I would definitely come back here again to get gifts for my friends and family. It's small but has so much to offer. read more

This store is a running joke in our family. It's literally the rudest employees and cheapest cliche Christmas crap you'll ever see. We visit each year just to make sure the lady is as pissed as always and enjoy a good laugh, while never spending a penny as usual. And be sure to visit the pottery and art store next door. Unfortunately I didn't even get to see the whole store due to a very rude staff member. My family was looking for a personalized ornament and decided to stop in. We were so excited as we love Christmas! I had to change my daughter's diaper and had asked my oldest to see if they had a trash can. She throws the diaper away (pee only) and apparently the staff had an issue with that. I did not hear them but my oldest and husband overheard them talking saying something along the lines of "we can't have that in here". Now if it was a poop diaper id understand but it was pee and I sorry but I thought a trash can was for trash. I decide not to say anything because I don't want any issues. We start to walk through the store and find the kitchen area, they offer us a sample of cider (very tasty) we look around in the kitchen area and leave to look around the store to find the ornament we are looking for. We make it into another room where a very rude employee pushes past my oldest snatching the EMPTY sample cup out of my other daughters hand and says "I need that you're not supposed to be drinking in this part of the store, you should have been told by (insert employee here)" very rudely as if we should have known better as it was our first time in the store and she walk off to the kitchen room. I take my family and leave! There are much better ways to handle all that happened. If you were made about the pee diaper you could have said something to either myself or my husband instead of saying things to the employees. Instead you decide to be rude and now I will never step foot back in this business and will let everyone know how we were treated. We arrived on a whim while in Tennessee, thinking what fun it might be to check out a Christmas store with the kiddos - boy, was I wrong. Rude isn't strong enough a word for how the staff acted. DO NOT bring your kids to this store! They are NOT welcome. And it will be made very evident by the snide remarks made by staff members should your kids decide to pick up any of the stuffed animals... They should be ashamed of themselves. Sure, there are a LOT of Christmas stores in the Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge/Sevierville area, but in my opinion, this is an underrated hidden gem amongst them. Hidden because it's off the proverbial beaten path on Parkway. A gem because they have so much to offer on two floors. My lady and I stopped by not really knowing what to expect. However, when we walked inside, we were greeted right away by the very friendly staff, and were almosy overwhelmed by the massive selection of holiday decorations and goodies. Each floor had seven rooms and so much to see in each one. They also offer free personalization of ornaments with flat surfaces. We scored one for ourselves and a few more for some friends. They were all priced very nicely too. This spot truly is a hidden gem among the massive amount of Christmas stores around here. If you love Christmas, you'll love this place for sure. It seems like a Hidden gem off the beaten path of all the touristy stuff on the strip. we were looking for a light show after dinner and found this place and you hook up to the local radio station and the lights are in sync. We walked in at 5:15 and hadn't even looked left or right before the woman behind the counter was welcoming us, asking everyone to sanitize their hands, and making it well known that they close in 45 minutes. Because of that, I immediately felt rushed so I really didn't shop like I normally would. I browsed quickly through the first floor only, bought a few food items (party dips and jellies), and went on my way. This place caught my eye from the road- eveything Christmas themed does! We came on a Thursday afternoon at approximately 2pm. There were maybe 10-15 others shopping. Hand sanitizer readily available upon entering. Every staff member we encountered was friendly and chatty. So many different decorations, I bet you could find a gift for everyone on your shopping list. Mr and Mrs Clause were both present and went out of their way to ensure our family had a great experience. We will definitely be back, maybe even before we head out of town. read more

She tried to force 2 members of my family, including someone with an ADA recognized disability (with card) and my small niece into wearing a mask. She raised her voice, ranting, before we could even respond to her accusations to talk to us. She was calling us belligerent before we even entered 3 feet in. We were not going to allow her to cause a scene with a disabled individual and a small child. We walked out. Went in earlier this morning with the intention of purchasing some items. Our three year old grad daughter, who is newly potty trained, decided she needed to go potty like right then. The lady behind the counter would not let her use the restroom and told us to go to McDonald's or Food City. I can see not letting an adult use the restroom, but a three year old? Um ok where would you recommend I use the restroom and she said gas station across the street or McDonald's. Not sure if this was the owner or not but a tall blonde woman treated my family horribly. We had walked in with an infant and was told that we needed to walk to the dumpster to throw things way because they "didn't need that in there" referring to the fact that we had just changed the baby's diaper (we were not planning on throwing it away just holding onto it) the same woman gave my entire family dirty looks upon entering. We all had picked up some items to purchase but after being treated badly for no reason we decided to discard them at the counter and the same woman said "you don't want to put those away?" We went for our first time yesterday. The bombarding rush at us when walking in and the hand sanitizing and cocoa and all when we just stepped foot in was overwhelming and we won't be back. Felt like we couldn't look for overwhelming us with this that and the other. Then because I didn't care for something offered seem offended. We snuck out when they was busy to not be hounded again. The hand sanitizer began making my hands feel funny. Shortly after use. Never had this happen before. I had to trust the workers was sanitized. We looked where room with the jams was and flags and left. Highly disappointed. By the time we got in the car my hands was really feeling off they was red and burning the smell was very perfume like not alcohol. I used my own sanitizer to try and remove whatever this was. Didn't work. Used a sanitizing wipe. That didn't work. Stopped and washed my hands twice at food city. Didn't help. Went back washed two more times and ran cold water on them for a while and finally began getting some relief. Not happy! read more

This must be the alternate universe's Santa Claus, where the Christmas spirit goes to die. This place used to be a wonderful place to go. We started going when our daughter was an infant, and continued to go multiple times every year. We purchased videos, books, pictures with Santa and countless other items. That ended last year (14 years later) when we ran afoul of the Harpie identifying herself as Mrs. Claus. Nurse Ratchet would be a more suitable moniker. Her attitude towards patrons, particularly children is abhorrent. Perhaps the rudest "customer service" agent I have ever seen. I hear the Santa has become the same, which unfortunate because he used to be one the best. Save yourself some time and grief and find a department store or some place similar Santa. read more

Absolute Christmas magic! I brought my two girls in to get Christmas photos done with Santa while we were in Gatlinburg on vacation. Santa had just built a new cottage on the same property as his workshop, for the exclusive purpose of photographs (and an absolutely magical ambiance). From start to finish, Santa took his time and talked with my girls, and asked questions about their Christmas wish lists. It was never about the photographs for my girls, it was a complete Santa experience that was shear perfection. At the end, there were photographs, but not the cheeseball mall photographs with the concrete staged smiles - these photographs show happy girls who got to experience the true magic of Christmas. read more

This place was reasonably big with many different sections of the store dedicated to different Christmas decor. The store even had a nice lady who sits and personalizes ornaments for people. My kids are 2yrs old. There isn't much for them to really participate in Gatlinburg yet. Then, I found this place and the thought of possibly meeting Santa while we were on vacation seemed like something they'd really like. Or at least we'd try. We didn't get a chance to stop in until they were almost closed for the day. We were the last customers there, so I felt kind of bad poking around. They didn't seem to mind. My daughter kept asking my husband behind me, "Where's Santa? Is he working on toys?" I misunderstood and thought she was excited to find him. An employee must have thought the same because my daughter asked her the same thing. She asked my kids' names and disappeared. Moments later, Santa came walking down the stairs asking if [my kids' names] were there. My daughter lost it. Big tears, some yelling.. the whole deal. I was mortified. Thankfully, my son was over the moon to see Santa. He doesn't speak much yet, but waddled up to Santa and was interacting with him. Santa was a gentle giant, talking to my son and even trying to interact with my daughter. She eventually quit screaming, but clutched my husband for dear life. Santa gave them each an ornament and a candy cane. He'd gone out of his way already and my daughter had such a terrible reaction, I felt awful. I purchased an ornament which they personalized for free, but felt like I should have bought something more lol.. They were great sports about it, though we weren't allowed to take a photo of Santa and my son in the seating area and I'd missed my chance when he first came down the stairs. Oh, well. Still a good experience! And yes, you can purchase pretty much all of what they sell elsewhere, but I thought it was an adorable setup and Santa's on premises! He greeted them and spent probably 5 mins with them, at the end each were presented with a token personalized ornament. We stopped in here last spring and bought lots of stuff, greatly appreciating the 10% Military Discount they offered, and promised to bring back our family members on the next trip to Gatlinburg. Today we brought in two daughters and five grandkids who all shopped with us. We put up with the "order" to use their hand sanitizer (which does NOT kill viruses), and entered the store. At check-out I was told that they no longer offer a Military Discount, since apparently a customer "complained" that it was unfair, on line. So to "protect their reputation", they appeased the complainer, and told me (a combat veteran of Grenada, Panama, Desert Shield & Desert Storm, Bosnia and Afghanistan, that my service doesn't matter. We also experienced the extreme rudeness (mentioned in many of these reviews) of Mrs. C, the owner/manager, who followed us around, and "questioned" us when our 3 y/o granddaughter sat on the floor, while waiting for check out. Three generations of my family will no longer shop here, but instead will visit The Christmas Place in Pigeon Forge (who still does offer a Military Discount)! read more

We visited this place for the first time in early May. I was pretty excited before entering the business and the feeling was immediately deflated by whoever they had as the "greeter" behind the table at entrance. The tone we were spoken to in was military style and then we were asked to Santa-tize our hands before proceeding and pointed to a big bottle of sanitizer on the table. My husband left after 4 minutes and waited in the car. I walked around for about 10 minutes. They had many very nice and very overpriced items and the set up was well done however the atmosphere was anything but festive as you would expect for a "Christmas" store. Christmas is a happy holiday for most and brings out the "inner kid" and the excitement of the holiday. The atmosphere in this place was somber and you could feel the tension in the air. This undoubtedly came from the staffs end. I hope the find the issue and fix it so their customers can actually enjoy all the hard work someone put into the set up. In the meantime, we wish them luck. It's been difficult for small businesses to survive and thrive in this Covid Era and if your NOT providing good customer service it will definitely not help your business grow. read more

My two boys 2 and 6 loooved the time they spent with Santa. He had his own little Santa room and he even made them ornaments with their names on them. The pictures we not bad in price because they got to actually speak with him for about 15-20 minutes. The shop has very neat Christmas items. A little out of my budget but very cute. The workers freaked out easily when my sons would touch something. But there is a semi play area upstairs. But over all we loved it. Must see at night! Tons of lights and music. read more
