Resturant. F1 style on all wall for this chic restaurant. Compromise between chic location and hi cooking. Personally suggested the 'razza' fish, brain with bread and onion soup. Take care it's hi quality food and hi bill when finished. read more

Most of the patrons are well off and the restaurant seems to be meeting famous as it has pictures of local football players and other local celebrities. The food they served was good! My rate comes with breakfast, and their selection of food choices are pretty good as well. One of the downside is that there is not much to do outside the hotel. There are only a handful of restaurants within walking distance, and there is no market or store nearby.

It is absolutely gorgeous with elegant furnitures, collective articles, wall panels and crown molding. The decoration is stunningly beautiful. The staff is very friendly remembering your name and can tell you stories about the collective articles. The building itself was an elegant reminder of European history and culture. My stay there for a business trip was just fabulous. It wasn't super expensive for European hotel standard, euro 165 a night for a king size bed. If you visit during the week of Formula One race competition, it would be very hard to find a spot at this hotel if you do not book early (by the way, the hotel room is decorated with many Formula One photos). It's quite easy to walk to the Funicular (cable car) and ride up to the upper city. The service at this hotel was top notch. Every encounter I had with all levels of the hotel staff were top notch. I'd recommend this hotel to any of my colleagues staying in Bergamo. On the first floor they have a dining area for a daily breakfast buffet which I liked very much as it is complimentary for hotel guests. The hotel breakfast made mornings prior to going into the office very easy. On the 8th floor, there is a very nice rooftop restaurant that has some very nice views of the city of Bergamo, and also the old city. The food at this restaurant was very good and I recommend dining there at least once for the views.

We were relaxing after long flights and before the start of a wedding weekend at Lake Orta. The rooms were very clean and very comfortable. Incredibly comfortable bed and the pillows were the best I've ever had in a hotel. Decor is overall kind of weird but I liked it . There's a lot of old clocks and typewriters to look at, for example. I would definitely stay here again.

After that, my review, sadly, goes downhill. The room was small, outdated ("rustic charm" only goes so far...), no screens on windows, no a/c (it was hot as he!!). The food, while fresh and local, honestly didn't taste that great, and the service at dinner-- twice-- was sooo slow. It appeared to be a family-run business, and they clearly were overwhelmed, at all stages of the business. We were only one of many other guests (perhaps 25 cars in the lot), and the poor foursome running this place, while friendly, were out of their league.
