Santi is the most talented photographer my wife and I have ever met. Our pictures and videos are epic! My wife Sara talked me into doing a "trash the dress" session 2 days after our wedding at Dreams Playa Mujeres and I am so glad she did! Absolutely amazing photos and an overall wonderful experience! Santi and Corona took the most amazing pictures at our wedding in March! We did it at the Dreams Playa Mujeres Resort in Mexico. The entire experience from start to finish was great. All of the guests loved them, and I got a bunch of comments from people like, "the photographers seem like they're everywhere!" I did a LOT of research on photography and videography companies for the Cancun area prior to our wedding. We wanted a photo/video package with 2 photographers and 2 videographers. Santiago helped us get this with his team and Dreamcatcher Film. We stayed at Dreams Playa Mujeres and got married on the beach there. I found Santi's gallery and past wedding photos and immediately fell in love with his style and the colors in his photos. The beach photos were breathtaking and my dream photos! He is super responsive, we messaged frequently prior to picking a package, and we even did a FaceTime to discuss our vision and timing for everything for our big day. I even asked him general Mexico questions frequently because my wedding coordinator could not email me about anything until the week of, so he was super helpful. He provided us the option to pay the photo deposit online and wire the rest of the payment a week before to avoid huge fees in Mexico (multiple payment methods available though). We had to pay the videographers in cash. On the wedding day, we already felt like we'd known Santi forever since we talked so much before, lol. He and his team are so easy to work with and will make your wedding photo dreams come true. WE LOVE OUR PHOTOS!!! Obsessed. You definitely get what you pay for and more. They didn't skip a beat with capturing every moment of our pre-wedding, ceremony, family/friend photos, and reception; we had the times scheduled out almost perfectly. We didn't have enough time to capture a "first touch" but that was our fault, getting ready took longer than we thought. Within a day we had over 50 sneak peak edited photos tagged on our facebook's that we could share, and in a couple more days we had 588 photos in an online gallery to share with anyone we want. You get them all and in a super timely fashion. The photos are easy to download and print, with and without watermark. My husband and I have this plan to do travelling wedding, and I want to take nice professional photos when we are in different countries. Days had been hectic before I head to Cancun, so I found Santiago very last minute. I was so glad he is so accommodating and responded my email very promptly and professionally. The ordering process was very easy, and super professional! He has this online contract that clients can do electronic signature. Very impressive. Well, let me help you make the right decision, yes and yes! We were planning our elopement to Mexico and wanted some unique and professional pictures. Our wedding planner has recommended a photographer and I also contacted another photographer via Yelp but out of the 3, we choose Santiago. Santiago was more than willing to work with us and our unique needs for the elopement and the trash the dress photos on very SHORT notice. First and foremost, his work is AMAZING. We could not have been more pleased with the photographs from the special day. Santiago bio stated he had lots of years photographing weddings before going out on his own and it shows in the quality of his work. He is fair and competitively priced.( He was actually less expensive than other less experienced photographers.) He was able to get our pictures back to us right away even before we got home from the vacation. He took photos from angles I wouldn't have imagined and they were stunning. I know that it wasn't easy capturing a few shots because our children were trying to photo bomb the shots but somehow Santi held it together (these were the ones in the cenote where the kids wanted to frolic while we were trying to smile and hold the kiss!) The trash the dress in the cenote were beautiful but they were not easy to take (holding your breath underwater while wearing what feels like 500 lbs of wet fabric???) but they came out great. We used Santiago in August of 2016 for a family photo shoot with 19 individuals (ages ranging from 5 months to 79 years old). So you can imagine his challenge. He captured great pictures with beautiful colors. I truly appreciated his patients given we were so many people. He never rushed us and was more than willing to take as many photos as we felt necessary. My family and I traveled to Playa Del Carmen for a family vacation this previous Thanksgiving week. After much research I hired Santiago Gabay for our family photos. He was so flexible with us on finding the perfect location and time. He met us 2 hours out of his way in Tulum at 8am in the morning. It was pretty amazing watching him in action. He is a complete pro. He took one or 2 shots of each pose, even in the harshest of lighting. I figured we may get back a handful of good shots. But instead every shot he took was amazing! No shadows, no awkard faces, no over exposure with lighting. The lighting and colors were amazing! This is hard to come by with any photographer! But to top the cake, he gave us the most amazing turn around time on editing our photos. He told us we would have them by the end of the week.
