They provided us with a seven course meal for all of us. It was sharing and was a really fun way to spend the evening. Some of the courses were just fruit or tea or something but I really enjoyed being able to sit and pick at the food throughout the evening. A triple whammy, really. We found a number of options but, really needing to book somewhere due to having to get the last bus / train back to Haddenham, we decided on Branca. After a quick drink at the Jericho Tavern down the road, we walked into Branca and were seated immediately; very efficient. Menus were distributed, wine and water ordered, and then our order taken. Service was friendly, if a bit stilted when it came to drink delivery. A great feature here is that the starters can be ordered in tapa or 'full starter' and the mains can also be ordered in different sizes. I had the red pepper, mozzarella and pesto as a tapa - it was an excellent size to start, though lacked in any notable flavours. Despite eating my body weight in it on holiday I couldn't resist a pizza - pepperoni, fotina cheese, chilli and spinach. It was spicy but well balanced, and very well turned out for a restaurant pizza. Pasta and risotto around the table looked equally tasty. It's a lovely location and we enjoyed the laid back atmosphere throughout the evening. We didn't feel rushed and could really indulge in our meals. Branca was a good first step in exploring Oxford but I'm looking forward to returning and trying somewhere new.

The food was fine; not remarkable, not absolutely no complaints. The atmosphere was pleasantly upscale casual - this isn't a diner or cafe. What I loved was the attention to making kids welcome: we got high chairs, colouring books, crayons, and a kids' menu full of things I'd eat (rather than just the typical kiddie-food crap). I'm always eager to find a restaurant that manages to be family-friendly without being kiddie-centric. I'll be back.

Gloucester Green... 3 stars. There's about 5 seats total in this restaurant - it's definitely more geared for takeaway. I'd recommend the takeaway option myself, as the seats and counters that are there aren't the cleanest. The service was decent, the food delicious as always, and they have Rubicon Mango, which is like nectar from the gods. This location is convenient for those staying at Oxford's hostels or just stepping off/on the bus or train, since it's near both stations. If your visit to Oxford is quick, stop in and grab a kebab naan to go. If you have more time to spend... hop on the bus to Cowley Road to sit down and enjoy your meal. It's across from Tesco and the logo looks like a cross between Elvis and Johnny Bravo- you can't miss it.

Esp the end further away from the city centre. Kebab kid was not long ago refurbed and is therefore still fairly clean and pleasant :) the staff are really friendly and funny and dont mind if you take ages ooooing and errrring :) I have always found the food -burgers and kebabs- really really good and i have tried quite a few things. i especially like their burgers and their kofte kebab is excellent...smothered in garlic sauce....although this is less advised if you are on the pull ;) Definitely the place to visit on your way home from park end or the S.U...i would say the bridge but of course their clientèle is far to posh for a kebab .... ;)

February 15th 2019…read more In Evening, me my mom and my dad had a family dinner together.Everything was going great. We first had to book this Italian restaurant called Rigoletto. After we got there we found a very comfortable seat. Mom and I started to order. My original plan for my third course was to eat a pancake called Crêpes Suzette. The waitress said that I couldn't order that as my third course. It was because there would be alcohol in Crêpes Suzette so he suggested me to try another dessert for my third course so I ordered tiramisu. The rest of our meal was delicious! However, our neighbors ordered Crêpes Suzette and we saw the fire flying up two meters high. It was caused by the alcohol. Because the alcohol was strong enough to make the cooking pan go on fire for two meters high. That was a funny & interesting night. I enjoyed eating in the Rigoletto and if you have time, you can go there for your dinner!!! Fun Fact This was my dolci menu!!!
