I spent approximately 15 minutes providing the client's information to Summer, who assured me that either my client or I would receive a call from Mr. Barry that same day. Monday came and went. Then Tuesday. Then Wednesday. After leaving two follow-up messages, I finally reached Summer again on Thursday. Her response was essentially that, since the attorney had not called, I should probably look elsewhere because he was likely too busy. Apparently, the firm's intake process is less "legal consultation" and more "four-day suspense thriller," except the ending is simply being told to call someone else. As a professional attempting to refer a client in real need, I found the experience frustrating and extremely unprofessional. Had the firm simply said on Monday that it did not have the capacity to take the matter, I would have respected the honesty and immediately contacted another attorney. Instead, the better part of a week was wasted waiting for a promised call that never came. I am sharing my experience so that others with time-sensitive legal matters can plan accordingly. Based on the lack of follow-through and communication, I would not refer another client to this firm.
