I wanted and expected greats things from a veteran owned company but the lack of communication and customer service was not acceptable. I never read or was told my items would be stored somewhere until another move close to mine was booked and then I would get my items. It took a month. Daniel and Chris claim they are not a broker, but in fact they are. According to their licensing listed on the FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) they are listed as a Broker/Carrier. And under "Authority Type" the only active authority status is "Broker". So, I'm going to go out on a limb here and say THAT WAS A LIE! Hope that helps. I should also note that they will not reply to requests for information. You can call them a hundred times and they will ignore you. They will tell you that they will call you back "today" and today will come and go with no call. At this point we think they have stolen from us. Update to add (9/19/2025): I just found out that their common carrier authority was involuntarily revoked as of 9/15/2025. So they are literally only authorized (for now) to ARRANGE moves with Motor Carriers, which is what a broker does. Also, it looks like they are starting a new company because Safe Hands Relocation might be on its way out. Watch out for Titanic Moving Group. They received their HHG broker status 2 days ago! Congrats! Update (9/22/25): we were told that our items would be en route as of today. No one has told us anything. But I did find out that 99% of their interstate moves are contracted out to other carriers. That would be because you are acting as a BROKER for interstate moves!! DO NOT USE!!! My niece used this company and I will make this as short and as simple as possible for you: 1. They GROSSLY underestimate your weight then Strong arm you into signing a new contract AFTER your belongings are loaded up and will charge you way more than originally quoted. 2. No one in this company communicates. I wish I was wearing my Fitbit to calculate the calories I burned from the runaround I got from this company. One person says one thing which completely contradicts the other person from this company. 3. Payment is sketchy at best. PayPal this, Venmo that, but they won't accept credit cards? If I had a nickel for every time my credit card said this could be a scam, I wouldn't be writing this review. Not to mention, they request more money than venmo or Apple pay will allow in a 30 day window. (Careful, they'll send your belongings to auction) 4. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU! They just want as much money as they can get out of you and will leave you in the dark and will say your items are going to auction after a week of not getting their precious Venmo transaction. I'll be somewhat brief since my experience is similar to most of the others. Roxy should be in jail.... This broker is not "veteran owned and operated" and does not operate its trucks. It's a SCAM and criminal what they do similar to the TV reporting on these companies. They changed our invoice after loading our truck. After inspecting our property and loading it, they demanded an additional $3300 to haul it. After a nasty game played between the crew and office, they agreed to leave and accept a lower amount. They didn't arrive on time and then claimed we didn't pay for "expedited delivery" though they agreed on the delivery date. When they eventually contacted us, they said they could drop on a Sunday night around 7 pm. When the truck arrived, they demanded $3300 additional and didn't care that I had a photo of the adjusted invoice. It was a random moving company and no one spoke English. They said they would return after the office cleared it up but left and dropped our stuff in a random storage facility 300 miles away in Portland, Or. I've filed criminal complaints here in Washington and with the DOT. They now demand $3300 plus $1300 redelivery fee and undisclosed storage fees. DO NOT USE THEM!! read more

I had a great experience. When I relocated to Florida, i had a bunch of stuff that i needed to take with me. They made everything easy for and helped me through the booking process. There weren't any surprise charges, all the costs were known upfront which made everything transparent. On moving day, the crew meticulously wrapped up my furniture and used extra plastic to protect my things, leaving me with no worries that anything would be damaged during transport. Also, the transport comes with GPS tracking so you can know exactly how far the truck is from where i was moving too, which was cool because having to deal with a lost moving truck is a major headache! Update: instead of taking accountability or contacting me in any way, this company has now blocked me and is completely unresponsive. Extremely unprofessional. Look out for their AI photos showing "happy customers" and their fake profiles leaving fake reviews. Reached out for my move from FL to CO and unfortunately had the same experience as many other reviews. I was advised that my move would cost an estimated $2300 and to not worry about not having an accurate amount of boxes as if I added 10-20 more, it would only be an additional $200-300. When questioning about insurance, I was told that my items would be insured up to $10,000 per item. After providing measurements of my furniture and my updated box amount, my estimate then went up to $1000. This steep increase completely took me by surprise as I was only going to use Safe Hands due to them being competitive with UHaul prices... this was no longer the case. My downpayment was $1237, for a pickup date listed as June 11-12th. The estimates that I signed listed that " Estimates may be canceled penalty free and deposits are fully refundable only if the customer cancels the move in writing during the 3 day window immediately after Bill of Lading is signed." The Bill of Lading was sent to me on June 10th, and I was advised that movers could not be scheduled for me until I signed it. This document now advised that I was not insured $10,000 per item as I was informed during the booking process, but they actually only cover $0.60 per pound, per item. I asked my dispatcher Roxy (the third person I was randomly thrown to) for clarity, as if my 20lb tv was broken they'd only cover $12. She advised this was correct, but that they "sometimes" will cover more. Due to the multiple variations in what Danny (the person who booked me) and Roxy said, I decided cancelling would be the best option. I was then advised that I would not be refunded anything if I cancelled as they booked a hotel for the movers, and they were now scheduled to show up at my home at 2-4pm. How is this the case when I haven't even signed the bill of lading that was required to proceed with scheduling? Roxy advised that the Bill of Lading and the estimate that I signed were the same document, which is completely false. I was then emailed by an Emily Perez, asking how I would like to proceed as movers were scheduled for me the next day. I responded back requesting a phone call, and stated if movers were scheduled we'd see them then. No phone call was returned, in fact their off shore representative told us to stop calling. No email response was received. No movers showed up. No money has been refunded. This is the biggest scam of a company. They're not BBB accredited and in fact have an F rating. Their reviews on Facebook are fraudulent. If you click through them, they are clearly paid reviews from fake accounts. Do not trust this company. They quoted us one price, then once they had our belongings, the cost went up by $6,000 extra. This company deserves a zero, but that isn't an option. Titanic Moving Group operates as "Safe Hands Relocation LLC." I strongly encourage anyone considering them to read the reviews under both names. Every negative review I've since read reflects my experience exactly. I was explicitly promised a delivery window by the salesperson, Christopher , and that promise was not honored. My belongings did not arrive anywhere close to when I was told they would. On pickup day, the dispatcher, Rachel , attempted to collect 70% of the total charges, despite my contract clearly stating a different amount due at pickup. I had to send her a screenshot of my contract to stop the demand. I also provided my own shipping blankets, which were used during the move and then kept by the company. When I requested they be returned, Rachel proceeded to bombard me with text messages insisting the blankets belonged to them. They did not. This interaction was aggressive and completely unprofessional. My belongings were routed to South Florida before eventually being sent to Utah. I later learned that shipments do not even leave their warehouse until the earliest date you list as available for delivery -- not when you expect them to be en route. This was never clearly explained upfront. Although my items eventually arrived (about a week late), they were then held for four additional days because the company claimed they could not find labor to unload them. I had already made a special trip to Utah based on their promised delivery date. When the items still did not arrive -- even after allowing a five-day cushion -- I had to leave the state. I was then told my belongings would be placed in storage and additional fees charged unless someone else came to receive them. Communication throughout this process was terrible. Calls and emails went unanswered. When I did speak with Rachel, she yelled at both me and my son and demonstrated extremely poor customer service and communication skills. The listed officer for the company, Ryan O., did not respond to my email. The company markets itself as "family-owned," which feels misleading given the way customers are treated. I even got responses from multiple "people" at the company responding to other jobs, not my own - with irrelevant information to my move. It was clear to see their con-system was breaking down. The experience was emotionally and financially damaging to me in ways I've never experienced as a customer ever in my life - totally devastating. AVOID going through the same loss I did - I wouldn't wish this experience on my worst enemy. Our move with Safe Hands Moving was one of the worst service experiences we've ever had. We were quoted one price by Roxy, who seemed helpful at first -- but once the process started, she raised our rate three different times. Each increase came at a moment when we had no leverage -- including while our items were already loaded on the truck. It felt like our belongings were being held hostage until we agreed to pay more. They overcharged us far beyond the original quote, caused an enormous amount of stress for my wife, and then took weeks to deliver our things. When delivery finally happened, it wasn't even the same company -- a completely different team and truck showed up. We never heard from the original movers again. To make it worse, they advertise military discounts and promise professionalism, but that turned out to be a bait-and-switch tactic. They took advantage of our trust and our situation. After speaking with Mike, I was impressed by how patient, professional, and informative he was. He answered every one of my questions and scheduled a follow-up call. The very next day, I received a call from someone else at the company, and to be honest, that interaction did not reflect the same professionalism. It left such a negative impression that I had decided to cross the company off my list. Shortly after, Mike followed up with me again. I explained what had happened, and he immediately apologized and acknowledged my concerns. I told him I wasn't interested anymore, but instead of accepting that at face value, he took the issue to upper management -- and that's when I heard from John, the General Manager. John was not only professional, but genuinely sincere. As I shared my experience, he took the time to listen, respond with integrity, and explain what the company truly stands for. His response reminded me that good companies still exist, led by people who care about doing the right thing. Yes, I ultimately chose to hire Safe Hands Relocation. I believe in second chances, and I don't base my decisions solely on negative reviews -- especially when people can often be unfair or one-sided online. Avoid this company at all costs! They are a fraud & a scam! Should have done more research on other review sites besides Google before booking them for my out of state move. The Google reviews have to be fake as there is no way in hell this company is remotely close to 2 stars! They have terrible reviews on Yelp & Trust Pilot. They claim they have their own trucks but they don't. They showed up at 6:35PM when they had confirmed a 12-3PM pick up. After several calls & texts around 3PM to everyone at Safe Hands to find out what was going on, nobody responded! It wasn't until after 5pm that the driver responded saying he apologized for being "a bit late". Not only was he extremely late but he showed up in a U-haul truck. Huge red flag! When I asked him if he was driving that cross country, he said, "No. We just take your items to a dispatch center." This was never mentioned on my initial call with Safe Hands when I booked the move. Now the negative reviews make sense about lost items. Then I get a text from someone at Safe Hands stating I had to sign a document & remit payment before the truck can be loaded. They wanted me to Zelle a Eduardo Briseno who they stated was part of the team. I wasn't going to that! What legit company has their customers pay an individual & not the company? Soon after, the sales manager Danny text me stating my deposit is non refundable if I didn't proceed which now makes more sense they didn't offer me to pay via credit card for my deposit as I could have disputed the charge. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! If I can save one family from the disaster my daughter suffered then this review will be worth it. And for the record, I have NEVER submitted a review of any sort on a company. Most times I believe that people are genuinely good and sometimes we have bad days. That is not the case for this company. This company does not care about you or your family and they will do anything they can to cheat you. There is no option for negative stars, but that is what this company deserves. There is no way that the positive reviews for this company are real. My daughter and her husband recently moved from Colorado to our home in Georgia, due to her husband being in the Army. Transfer and relocation is not an option for our military members amd this company has taken full advantage of that fact. I spent 21 years in the Navy, moved 9 times including moves to and from Guam. Never have I dealt with anything that remotely comes close to the way this company has operated. First, they gave an estimate of 600 cubic feet for all personal goods. Grand total for pick up, shipping and delivery was $2700. They didn't pack anything, the packing was done by my daughter and son-in-law. Notably, like much of the other reviews, men showed up late for the scheduled pickup and the were smoking weed outside of the truck instead of loading the personal goods. I have discussed with my daughter why the next part should have happened differently, but the fact that a professional moving company would drive away with the personal goods and not have the customer sign the final paperwork before leaving leaves me enraged. The finalized inventory was never given to my daughter and the final statement was emailed to her after the truck left. That means my daughter's wedding dress and my son-in-law's uniforms were now in their custody. The final statement was emailed to my daughter for 1650 cubic feet, almost three times the original estimate, and a final price of $9000. When my daughter called about the change in price, she told them there was no way they could pay due to the drastic change in price, and she was told that she would have to pay if she wanted to get her stuff back. Notably the only thing she wanted back was the above mentioned wedding dress and uniforms. So she begged for them to allow her to make a payment plan so that she could get everything taken care of, to which she was told that can't happen. The company called to harass my daughter further and that's when I learned of the situation. She was completely stressed and crying while she was begging them to let her make a payment plan. When she was told there was no way to do a payment plan I decided to pay for the move using my credit card and let her pay me back. That's when I was told that the company does not accept payment via credit or debit card. I was informed that the only form of payment accepted would be PayPal, CashApp, Venmo, Zelle, cashier's check, certified money order, or certified check. Which raises too many red flags on the financial side of a business to even list. I agreed to pay the outstanding balance using my credit card via Venmo. I was sent a new invoice and the Venmo information and told that I would have to use the Family and Friends option in order to make the payment and if I didn't, the payment would not be accepted and they would keep the personal goods until the payment was completed. Everything about this company is shady and dishonest. I wish I could flag every method this company uses for advertising to prevent them from ever hurting another family the way they have hurt my daughter. This company will continue to hurt families as evident by their responses to every bad review here and on every other website. They take no responsibility for their actions. They blame the customers and make excuses that allow them to continue to over charge individuals and lie to the IRS about their income. Warning to viewers: Read this before booking. Their replies to negative reviews follow the same gaslighting, blame shifting, and scripted manipulation that I personally experienced. If you are struggling with this company, you'll recognize it instantly. Below is our experience: This was one of the most deceptive and unprofessional companies I have ever dealt with. We were moving out of state and had pre packed boxes. Among our belongings was a 1000 lb printing press, clearly listed on our inventory and discussed in depth with Kyle on the first phone call. Kyle promised a full crew to accommodate it with proper equipment. Instead, one man showed up alone with a hand truck. I told the mover he would not be able to move the press with an aluminum dolly. He said Safe Hands was trying to find him help in Portland. We live three and a half hours from Portland! Our move was scheduled. This company should have had a crew arranged ahead of time. The mover then said he could get help from people in Bend, but when I asked repeatedly how those men were being paid, he admitted they were not, and they were just his friends who lived in an RV. I asked multiple times if they were employees of Safe Hands, and he said no, they were not temporary workers or employees, only friends he knew. The extra help never arrived because we decided to cease the move that day rather than let this asinine situation continue. Summer from Safe Hands tried to cover for this, claiming the company knew the men in Bend, but that was false. None of them worked for the company. The mover had no inventory list, despite me providing one in advance to Roxy as requested. He was simply tossing boxes into the truck with zero documentation or accountability. During this chaos, the worker also damaged our custom maple stair noses with his hand truck. The Friday before the move, Roxy emailed me word for word that my cost would not change unless I added or removed items. That assurance was dishonest and only given to get us to pay our second deposit before move day. When moving day arrived, every price suddenly skyrocketed: * Kitchen packing (the packing I wanted Safe Hands to complete): bill of lading - $80, changed to $650 * Bulky item fee (printing press): bill of lading - $250, changed to $800 * Offload fee (after refusing their pattern of deception): $400 The mover then produced a supply charge list that Roxy had never shared or mentioned. This price sheet was clearly designed to justify the bait and switch. For anyone reading: Every detail here is supported by documentation. I have Roxy's original email, multiple written estimates, & security camera footage/audio, along with call logs verifying communication and price bargaining estimates for my press once I began refusing to be moved. Any attempt to deny or downplay this review would be false. Fortunately, I have the luxury of time & refused to be their next victim. We stopped the move, had the truck offloaded, and documented every detail. Summer said the owner would call us, and he never did. What we don't have time for is being ignored. Our last action then, and most telling: Contacted both of our banks who recognized the pattern of deception and reversed the most recent charge, the second deposit, and they helped me successfully stop a large pending Zelle payment before it cleared. I recently hired Safe Hands Relocation for a long-distance move and had an excellent experience from start to finish. What really stood out to me -- beyond their professionalism -- was the attention to detail when it came to handling my more delicate and valuable items. I had a large amount of crystal glassware, fragile decorative pieces, and some sentimental items that honestly made me nervous to move. But the crew at Safe Hands handled everything like true pros. Before the move, I spoke with their customer service rep who clearly explained how fragile items like crystal or glass art pieces should be professionally wrapped and packed for transport. They gave me the option to pack those items myself or let the crew handle it with the appropriate materials. I chose to let the movers handle it and paid a bit extra for them to pack the crystal properly -- and I'm glad I did. The extra materials and the time they took to wrap each piece were well worth it. On the day of the move, the team arrived fully prepared. They brought all their own equipment -- hand trucks, dollies, pads, and wrap -- and wasted no time getting everything secured. When it came to the fragile items, they carefully wrapped each glass and crystal piece with bubble wrap and packing paper, then double-boxed the most delicate ones. They clearly knew what they were doing, and they walked me through how they planned to secure them on the truck. It was clear they'd done this many times before. I was also impressed by how well they protected my glass tables, mirrors, and framed art. They used moving pads, cardboard barriers, and shrink wrap to secure each piece. I didn't have to lift a finger. At no point did I feel rushed, and they encouraged me to check how things were packed before sealing the boxes. Everything arrived at the destination in perfect condition. Not a single broken glass, chip, or scratch. They helped unload and place everything in the correct rooms, and even reminded me to open the fragile boxes carefully just in case pressure had shifted during transit. The first few phone calls made it seem like they were so kind and it would be great. But then when it came to the pick up date, EVERYTHING and I repeat EVERYTHING went downhill and fast. I had pickup dates between Tuesday-Wednesday. I got a call on Monday stating they were unable to be there Tuesday and would be there Wednesday, I TRIPLE checked this and said that's fine. I have previously taken off work and told my supervisor it turns out I'll be in. Well come Tuesday morning I get a phone call from the movers saying they will be at my house in 30 minutes. So that caused an entire problem, when they were done I told the movers we will be in GA May 14th, no sooner as we were driving across the country. They called a few days later before I had even left WA stating they will be in GA the next day. After a whole bunch of phone calls they admitted they screwed up and would hold our stuff till we got there. Now we are in GA and they are trying to extort me for an extra $1,000 just to get my stuff delivered. I told them absolutely not paid them and decided to go pick my stuff up at the storage unit. I get to the storage unit to find it is ONLY 1/4 of our belongings. I had to make multiple phone calls to get anyone on the phone. I finally got Yoheli on the phone and she told me our stuff got separated and she will get it to us the following weekend. Weekend came and went and guess what? No delivery. I've sent so many emails only getting minimal responses lying saying our belongings are on the way and they never show. I've made hundreds of phone calls and they don't ever answer. They lost $50,000 worth of our belongings, our life and they don't care. This company is a massive SCAM. Do not trust them. Do not make the massive mistake my family and I did. I paid and they did NOT show up to move me I booked my move with a hard move date due to leaving the state. I paid my 1/3 deposit and signed with this company due to being a veteran owned and veteran friendly company. I was given 2 potential days to move prior to my deadline. I was concerned leading into the 2 day window since I had not heard from the dispatcher. I was assured that I was on the schedule for the 2 day window. I contemplated getting a refund with the 72 hour window and more assurances were provided to me. I should have listened to my feelings. The first day of the potential pickup came and no one reached out or showed up. The second morning came and I started calling them to see when they were coming to move my studio apartment across the country. I had a 7 AM flight for the next morning and needed them to come through as I was assured days earlier. I was finally able to reach someone and they were working on the schedule for that day still a d would get back to me. Then late in the afternoon, I got a text saying that they could not make it. I was offered a refund over text and accepted given my flight and my clear expectations from the beginning about the move. Now the company is not answering my calls or emails about the refund. They are keeping the funds for a move they DID NOT make. I had to move myself across the country at my own expense. It has been 2 months and still no answer. I am confused how this makes sense to anyone as a way to do business. Please use other alternatives for your moving needs. Safe Hands Relocation tried to charge us an additional $1700 dollars from our original $3,000 quote. Our cubic feet based on original quote was around 470. And we removed 4 bikes, Kings size bed, additional kitchen accessories, and dresser. They tried to say we had additional 227cu ft. It is in how you decide to pack and measure. They did not pack it well. There was so much room left in the truck. It was not even half full. We measured our stuff that was on the truck, and it was even below the 470. Using Safe Hands was one of the most stressful and expensive mistakes I've ever made. They sold me on a full-service, non-brokered move--then outsourced everything to random contractors who immediately told me the quote I was given was way off, despite my inventory being 100% accurate. I was forced to pay 3x the original quote or risk losing my belongings. Classic bait-and-switch. Communication was a disaster. I dealt with over 15 different people. At one point, two reps told me their "son was in the hospital" (they weren't even related). Total chaos. Delivery? I was told 14-21 days. On day 10, a driver--not Safe Hands--called and said he'd arrive in 24 hours. I scrambled to book a flight and hotel. No one showed. I slept on the floor for days. Then they demanded $2,000 in cash to release my stuff. To top it off, the movers refused to assemble my bed or furniture, despite it being in the contract. They literally said they were "in a rush to get to the beach." Multiple items arrived broken. My experience with Safe Hands Relocation was extremely disappointing and stressful. From the start, I was misled by the sales representative, who promised delivery would occur within 7-10 days after pickup. That turned out to be completely inaccurate. When I contacted customer service for clarification, I was told the delivery window only begins after my "first available delivery date" -- a detail never mentioned in my estimate or explained during the booking process. The only note on the estimate regarding timing says that "lead times are an estimate only," with no explanation of how they are calculated. This lack of transparency is unacceptable. What made matters worse was the customer service -- or rather, the lack of it. I had to follow up every single day to get any information at all. Most of the time, no one would answer the phone, return voicemails, or reply to emails. When someone finally did respond, it was almost always the same person -- Brenden -- who was consistently rude, unhelpful, and completely unprofessional. He showed no concern for the delays or confusion and seemed irritated by any attempt to get clarity. I genuinely can't understand how a company entrusts its customer service to someone so indifferent and unqualified. Relocating is already a stressful process, and working with Safe Hands Relocation made it significantly worse. Professional scammers. If you don't want to read my whole review, here's a summary: Safe Hands has ZERO integrity for themselves or the "service" they provide. They clearly pay for their good google reviews. If you're thinking about using this company, you're better off paying two 10 year olds to pack a Pod for you. If I could give them less than a 1 star rating I would over and over. Was originally given a quote of 3300 for moving our ONE BEDROOM apartment from CA to SC. A week before we moved we updated our inventory list with exact measurements of all of our stuff- rounding up for odd shaped furniture. They emailed us back saying our inventory increased so they will need to charge us more, which we paid no questions asked. On the day of pick up, the movers packed our boxes (20) and 2/3 sections of our couch, then said that they cannot load any more of our stuff because the foreman (Johnny??) said we had way too much stuff (not true considering we decided to leave a tv stand and a few chairs. So we had less than what our inventory said) and we need to pay an additional $2,600 in order for them to take our bed (only a king mattress and platform bed frame), dresser, and last 1/3 of our couch. We were waiting for a call from ANYONE in the company for 2+ hours. No one would call or answer us yet the movers were texting the foreman the entire time we were calling and texting Roxy, customer service, Danny, Johnny, anyone. The best answer we got from Roxy was "if you aren't comfortable with the additional cost we can cancel your move." The movers also said Johnny is asking for 65% of the total remaining balance that day, not 50% now and 50% at pick up like promised. They will corner you into paying more and offer no help or answers other than "well legally we can do this" and then screw you over. Legal does not mean ethical or right and clearly they have no understanding of that. A classic bait and switch company. When our stuff arrived in SC (from pick up it was 14 days), the movers said they didn't even work for Safe Hands and they were contracted out and work for a different company, which we were told does not happen through Safe Hands. We were told our stuff would arrive the following Thursday- Saturday. We did not receive a call on any of those days and couldn't get an answer for where our stuff was after waiting until Friday to call. Customer service kept telling us our stuff was en route-- which could have meant literally anywhere across the country considering they pack a giant 18 wheeler with multiple moves. The only helpful person in this company is Summer, who was able to quickly tell us when our stuff would be arriving. Oh and the best part- if the driver felt like he couldn't get to your house down the neighborhood road- we'd have to pay an additional $1,000 for them to find a smaller truck to put our stuff in to deliver it. By the end of it we paid over double the original 3300 quote... for a one bedroom apartment. The worst business I have ever worked with- and clearly we aren't the only ones they scammed. read more

These guys were a blessing straight from God. They made a very tough situation as stress free as possible. My grandmother started to struggle living on her own and my family decided it was best if she lived close by so we had to move her from Florida all the way to San Francisco. They were so understanding and patient with her throughout the entire move. We were all very worried about how it would go because her memory is not the best and she can be very picky but these guys were professional and extremely patient and helpful. Truly a class act . With the exception of the actual drivers who showed up, I would describe my experience with Safe Hands Relocation as one of the worst across key services indicators, namely: customer service, responsiveness, execution, reliability, truthfulness and trustworthiness. And the real let down was that I picked them because I was daughter of a vet they touted themselves as a vet and family-owned company but goes to show you anyone is capable of bad business practices. My first mistake was not checking the BBB--Better Business Bureau. When I checked their rating late last month, they had a grade of "F". As of this review, they are now "not rated. Anyway...I spoke to Nick, a sr. moving coordinator early June re: an out of state move and requested SPECIFIC pick-up/delivery dates (7/7-7/9) for the first week of July & asked if this was possible. I was coordinating my drive & as I had not done of move of this nature before,I was asking a lot of questions. He assured me that it was possible and not a problem but not ONCE said this was a Premium Guaranteed Service & would cost extra. Instead, he absolutely led me to believe I was getting precisely what we discussed on the phone. Well no one showed up on 7/7 but early 7/8 I received a call from my driver with a p-u window for later that day and sure enough he arrived. It wasn't until 2 days (7/10) later when I arrived in Portland, OR & called the customer service supervisor, Brandon to inquire as to an ETA of my things was I told 7-10 business days."What do you mean 7-10 business days?!" "Well, it's in the contract you signed.", he said VERY smugly. (Which I admit I glossed over because I had discussed very specific dates with Nick, dates which were also referenced at the top of my Post Contract Services Order Form & appeared in accordance with what was discussed.I explained to Brandon I had discussed very specific p-u & drop off dates with Nick. That's when Brandon explained that was the premium guaranteed service & cost extra. "Did you pay extra?" I told him Nick never even mentioned that & didn't give me the opportunity to determine if I want to pay extra or not. Brandon then says to me, "Looks like you were given some erroneous information." It was entirely clear from the nature of my questions what type of service I was requesting & instead I was misled and given the standard service without being provided an option to opt out. I don't hear anything from anyone at Safe Hands until Monday, 7/14 when a warehouse foreman, Juan Gutierrez (Johnny) texts, identifies himself as being with Safe Hands Relocation & requests the next installment & lets me know my items will be loaded the next day & delivered that Thursday (7/17). So I send him the next installment via cashapp (another no-no--never go with a company that doesn't offer credit cards as a form of payment). On Thursday, 7/17 (the delivery date provided by Juan), I get an email from Brandon letting me know that the truck will actually be loaded on Friday (7/18), I could expect my things Saturday or Sunday, and to let him know if I had any questions. On 7/18, I emailed & politely asked Brandon if he could explain what he meant by my items would be "reloaded exactly, that no one had explained and where have my items been in the interim while waiting for pick up?" NO response. My things never arrived that weekend. I never heard from Safe Hands again til SATURDAY, JULY 26TH--NINE DAYS LATER. Only then did I hear from Juan, the warehouse foreman again to let me know his driver was trying to get in touch with me. Two nice movers came on 7/27 but as they were nearly finished, I noticed I was missing a brand-new platform bed still in the box it came in & my flatscreen tv I had boxed up. That's when the one of the movers explained that the truck they picked up in LOS ANGELES was already loaded when they arrived but they would let Juan know some items didn't make it onto the truck. Y'all my original loading location was Santa Cruz, CA so for some reason unknown to me, my items ended up 400 miles south of where they were loaded & 1000 miles from their final destination. Two days later Juan texted pics of my missing items which I verified as mine & says to please allow him until Wed, 7/30 to provide an ETA for these items and he assures me that they are in his possession. They were not sent and he didn't respond to my follow up texts. Safe Hands' response was that I must file a claim with a 3rd party insurer (they referred) for my own possessions that they failed to deliver by their own admission. And with insurance policies you only have a certain window to file a claim and Safe Hands know this. As of this review, I still don't have my things. So yes, if you want to work with a company that deals in lies, duplicity, lack of transparency, gaslighting, outright ignores its customers, talks down to them and then doesn't return their belongings--then by all mean, sign a contract with Safe Hands Relocation. read more

But the nicer person we dealt with (Chris) soon gave way to Roxy the Dispatcher. Nothing but frustration with her; unfriendly, condescending and patronizing. I have never been so compelled to write a bad review about a company until now... Safe Hands Relocation Services is the most unreliable company I've ever dealt with. I scheduled a move for August 11th. I explained to them that I was moving a storage unit from Denver to California. I was having to fly to Denver to meet the movers. I flew out from CA to CO, rented a car & secured a place to stay on Aug 10th anticipating the move on the 11th. I did not hear from Safe Hands all day of the 11th!! I FINALLY got an answer stating that the contract says 11/12 - and the movers would be arriving Aug 12th between 2pm and 4pm. So I planned another night's stay and rented the car for another day with full expectations of meeting the movers between 2-4pm. That day goes on with absolutely NO COMMUNICATION and NO MOVERS!! It was past 4pm and I had a flight back to CA that evening. I was told that they didn't know I had a flight and the movers could come at 6pm. I'm sorry that was too late!! I asked to have my deposit returned and cancel the move because it was unreasonable that I had to sit and wait for 2 days without any explanation and when I was told they were coming between 2-4pm they never showed. They refused to refund my deposit and completely stopped communicating. I still want my deposit back. I caution anyone with a smaller move to be aware - THEY DON'T CARE!!! read more

Complete headache. Was passed around between multiple people the whole process. Was told from the start that they dont use third party movers and that was not the case. The movers didnt call to let me know they were a hour away as promissed. Two men arrived at my home with my underage daughter home alone. Found out over a week and a half later our things were stil in storage in California and roxy was extremely rude when she was the only one responding. Could never get ahold of costumer service. My family had some very unfortunate events happen so our items once moved were put into a local storage and as my husband and i were bringing our item home we noticed things that were dropped and missing pieces to bed that we now have to buy new beds. Still we are unable to get ahold of anyone at this company to try to figure out something. Just a huge headache. My advice find another company or do it yourself. ABSOLUTELY ZERO STARS!!!! This is the most unprofessional, deceptive, illegal, fly by night operation I have ever encountered. For anyone that is even thinking of using this company...YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. I was assured by a gentleman named Kyle that I would be well taken care of from start to finish. What a joke! This is one of those scam operations where they give you a bogus quote and when they start loading, they claim you have gone over and you have to pay more money. This caused me to have to leave several of my larger items behind which were in the original quote. They stand there and will not touch anything until you Docusign a completely different agreement from the original and Zelle more money to some random person. (Zelle states not to send money to people you do not know but I had no choice since my flight was leaving the next day) I wish I had called the police like others had done. It took 13 days for our belongings to arrive. They told us it would be 3-5 days. During this time there was very little communication and all they did was lie on the whereabouts of the truck. When it finally did arrive, the driver who is a contract employee told me that the trailer broke down and he and his daughter and her friend had to unload it and reload everything onto a new one. This included not just my items but others people's items as well. Nothing was wrapped in blankets, many items were packed into different boxes or missing and damaged. The driver did not want to pay professionals to unload and had me pay him directly because he said the company owed him money and he was arguing on the phone with someone right in front of me. He, his daughter and another young man unloaded. It was a complete disaster and took them 6 hours. His daughter told me she was just along for the ride because she wanted to travel. They were not professionals at all and had no idea what they were doing. The driver also demanded more money since he had to take an elevator. I had to sign another document, go to the bank and get cash before he would proceed. He would not even start unloading until I returned from the bank. I have tried to get a refund from this company for their deceptive practices but all they want to do is gaslight their customers. They spend their time writing rebuttals to all their bad reviews instead of listening to their customers and resolving complaints. I was told by Daniel, the supervisor, "the bottom line is we got your stuff to you". He refused to compensate me for the money they extorted from me. Warning!! Please do not use this company. We chose this company primarily because we thought they were veteran owned but after our experience we think this could be false as well. They promised that they would be the one's moving us and don't sub out jobs to someone else... well not only did they sub us out to someone else, that company subbed us out to another company. They charged us a portion to start promising a certain price then when the second sub jobber came out they totally changed the price of the move on us to an extremely higher price. Our move started on 7/28/25 and they promised to get to our new apartment by 8/8/25... that did not happen. We tried calling over and over with no answer or call back. At this point we thought we were being scammed and they stole our belongings. Finally someone called us from the sub contracted company and lied over and over about where the truck was at and also said the truck had broke down which was not the case. Our furniture was sitting in a warehouse where they subbed our move out a third time. Needless to say we didn't receive our furniture until 8/29, over a month later. My movers were scheduled to arrive between 2-4 pm. They never showed up. No phone call, no nothing. No way to reach Safe Hands relocation since they are closed on the weeks and my move was scheduled for a Saturday. Finally at 7:30 pm, I received a phone call from the movers stating that they were sorry but couldn't make it. I was supposed to be out of my rental that day and had a cleaning crew there ready to work. I had to beg my landlord to let me stay one more night which cost me an extra $300. Bailed on the pickup times TWICE with ZERO communication about it and didn't show up for 2 days. There management team (Johnny) makes promises he can't keep. Including telling me I can talk to his manager and then ghosts me about it. There dispatcher (Roxy) tried to blame us because we didn't give an updated "list" when she literally responded to the email we sent of detailed items that were going with us including sizes of the boxes and even organized the garage for them. The owner then told me he would contact me to fix the situation but stopped responding to me entirely and told me to contact Roxy to fix the problem.
