Medium-sized grocery store with a significant selection of groceries. Conad is a regional supermarket chain in the Naples area. Very central location in the same building as the central rain station.
While the location was very central, I was curious about the decision to position this store in an area where most of the foot traffic is enroute to a different destination by train, bus or walking. On a Friday around 10:30am the store was pretty empty save for staff restocking and a handful of shoppers.
I took a look inside during my transfer time between trains, it was pretty large relatively speaking compared to some of the condensed urban format locations around the rest of the city. Store was clean and neat.
There are about a dozen aisles of products, with a broad selection: fresh produce, dairy, meat and fish, cheese and charcuterie, refrigerated and frozen food aisles, canned, dried and preserved food, beverages and alcoholic drinks, snacks, cookies and candy, pet supplies, home goods. I picked up a drink and a pack of cookies for the road (or really train ride). Very brief, neutral interaction with the cashier. read more
