You can order chilaquiles, enfrijoladas, enchiladas, egg dishes, toasts, and more. I stuck with coffee (espresso tonic) and a pan dulce (orejita). The coffee was so good I ordered a second (I still don't see this on menus often, and it's so good I wonder why - espresso, seltzer water, and a little orange peel are a dream together), and the orejita was a perfect light, sweet item to snack from throughout our class. The service was very good, and the restaurant is beautiful. It feels like you're walking into a tropical beach bar - absolutely gorgeous. I can't speak to the other Cancino locations which I haven't visited, but this San Miguel Chapultepec location is a charmer. Check it out if you're in the area.

We went on a Monday night and had such a fun, upscale experience from start to finish. One thing we really loved was being able to dine at the bar. It's surprisingly hard to find full food service at the bar in Mexico City, so that made the evening feel extra special and relaxed. We started with the Carpaccio di Manzo and the Carpaccio di Pulpo. The flavors were great, though the pulpo dish was a bit light on the octopus and leaned more heavily on the potatoes. For our mains, we ordered a couple of specials -- a seafood soup and the tuna pizza -- and both were absolutely delicious. We finished the night with a few desserts and a couple bottles of gourmet Italian wine, which paired beautifully with everything. The service was excellent, and we even had the pleasure of meeting the chef, Alejandro, which added a personal touch to the evening.
