The billboards say their restrooms are "Mom approved" and yes, the men's room was pretty darned clean. Some places have "inappropriate" graffiti or posters. There was none of that here. We went to Sapp Brothers restaurant for breakfast this morning. First, we were asked to move to a different table. Then, the waitress took our drink order, and we received our drinks. I realize that they were busy, but we waited at least 10 minutes, and no one came over to get our food order. We finally got a waitresses attention, and asked for our bill. Delicious coffee choices and a fun travel store. It's just bright and welcoming. This would rate as one of the top five places to grab coffee that I have ever enjoyed while traveling the Interstates in America. Super clean, super friendly and the best restrooms ever. The Tesla Supercharger is pretty close, but don't try to walk from there, because there's a semi-truck parking area between. Do not use this gas station. They put a hold on $175.00 from a $29.00 charge for gas. THEY SEEM TO BE CHARGING US FOR WHAT OTHERS ARE DOING. Just because others defraud you or whatever they are doing you shouldn't just assume we are doing it. We have never done anything to deserve a $175.00 charge on our card just because we use a debt card. But you did do this and it isn't right. read more

They advertise mom approved bathrooms on the highway signs but I'm not sure my mom would approve of the mens, my wife said the women's was pretty darn clean. This review is based on the restrooms alone. We stopped to put gas in the car, and noticed their sign advertised "AMAZING RESTROOMS." Overuse of the word "amazing" is a mutual annoyance between my boyfriend and me, so, seeing as I had to pee, I told him I had to check out how amazing the restrooms were. My highest expectation was those high-powered dryers that allow you to examine the musculoskeletal structure of your hands. This restroom was beyond my wildest dreams. Someone must have made a trip to Michael's to decorate it (and if you think I'm being snarky, I'm not; most gas stations bathrooms are decorated with pen knives and bodily waste.) Someone already took a picture of the remote on the toilet that allows you to go Euro with the bidet function. Clean bathrooms. Fancy toilet. Welcoming decor. Unless you've driven through Nebraska, you've probably never heard of Sapp Bros. Their Omaha coffee pot water tower is iconic. This location is small, not a full fledged travel center, which causes the loss of a star. It does, however, have clean restrooms (the sign doesn't lie), a surprisingly large convenience store and great coffee. You don't have to be a truck driver to feel comfortable filling up your tank here. Based on curb appeal, or lack thereof, you might be inclined to stop in the CEMEX next door or the Conoco across I-80. I suggest you embrace your inner Nebraskan and experience Sapp Bros. read more

My wife and I stopped here on our way from Denver to Lincoln for a Husker game. We stopped for gas and something to drink and ended up getting the cops called on us. After fueling up I moved my car near the building to wait for my wife. While I was waiting a car drove up and a unidentifiable male yelled out of his car that I was parked in a street and I needed to move my car. I asked if he was law enforcement which he was not. He yelled something from his car and sped off. The area I was parked in was not noted with no parking signs. And it clearly wasn't a "street". When my wife returned I went inside to the disgusting bathroom. While inside I discovered the male that had yelled at me from his car worked there and was bragging to his co-worker he called the cops on me. When I walked outside my wife had moved the car as he was harassing her while I was inside, and as a result she felt very uncomfortable by his presence so she moved the car. It should be noted, we weren't loitering and the place was dead. I was clearly parked in a "parking lot" and not a "street". I had no intention of staying longer than needed as we still had almost 4 hours to go. I waited briefly for the police but left because I had done nothing wrong. I ended up at the gas station across the road. Place is considerably cleaner and the employees were nice. The only downfall is the place was packed, guess now I know why. DO NOT GO TO SAPP BROS unless you are prepared to get harassed by the employees and have the police called on you for temporarily parking in a "parking lot" at a gas station. Passing through ... needed gas. Could have stopped here or across the street at Casey's. We choose to stop here, 4 kids in tow, due to the "mom approved restrooms " ad on the side of the building. I will tell you, the gas here was 10c more than across the street, but the cleanliness and wel equipped bathrooms made up for that. Highly recommend this stop over others! read more

Ive been using Sapp Bros for decades. Mostly the ones in Utah, Colorado, Wyoming, Kansas, Missouri, and Illinois which are excellent in all ways. Recently, my husband and I decided to buy our own truck, and got a deal from our boss to do short runs between Omaha and KC to pay off down payment balance. Until we do, the boss wont let us use it in down hours to sleep in (skinflint doesnt want us using his fuel for heat/ac.) So we had to bring the car out and use that, since we are from Denver. Saving every penny to get into our truck sooner, no motels, no frills for 4 months roughing it no big deal. Or so we thought till we used the Omaha and Council Bluffs locations. The night shift staff are awesome, friendly, courteous, and professional. The dayshift staff are complete opposite, rude, looking down their noses at us, and follow us every second with their eyes. Despite the over $5000.+ we spend monthly on fuel, food, beverages, showers, and sundries; we are treated like leapers. Our loads arent ready till 2-3pm, and we make the round trip and back around midnightish after we drop the truck, pick up our car and park for the night. In the past 6 weeks, weve been interrupted during the most important part of sleep during rem cycle, to be told we arent allowed to sleep here!?! Its a truck stop! Its not only allowed, its the only legal and safe place to park your vehicle and sleep. The day staff send in an employee after me every morning to use the stall next to me in the bathroom. The bathrooms are awesome, real walls, real doors bidets and sinks in each ladies stall. I run the water in the sink to bring the hot water up the pipes a few mins so the bidet doesnt splash me with ice cold water since feb march and now april have been bitter cold at night. Yes, im going to wash my face, hands, pits, and the smelly bits, brush my hair and teeth, moisturize my skin, change my clothes before i go to work. I resent being stalked and treated like im some kind of thief. We buy showers every other night, so this bull crap in the morning is insulting. If our boss didnt have a corporate acct here, we would have taken our business elsewhere. After telling our boss about how we are being treated by day staff here, hes so pissed he isnt going to renew the corporate acct this summer with them and will be using a competitor instead. Someone needs to read the old biddy committee that runs day shift here the riot act, because repeat business is thier bread and butter. Trust and believe my huge internet following that reads my contributing editor reviews column for a big name travel magazine will also start going elsewhere as well in the Omaha and Council Bluffs area. These folks are waaaay too up on their high horse for a truck stop, no matter how nice it is. Go somewhere else in these two cities. read more

The transmission on my van broke down on the way from Colorado to Chicago, luckily when I pulled into this gas station and not in the middle of the road. They were very sympathetic, offered help and suggestions. Let me keep the van in their parking lot while I went back home and came back with a trailer. Thank you for all your help! read more
