The owner still graciously welcomed us and fully took the time to beer nerd with us. Twenty minutes later we walked out with several speciality bottles- thus far all of them have been wonderful. Some cool particulars about this place: this is the only shop in Quebec to sell microbrewery kegs for domestic use. They also sell kegger fridge kits (around 500$) and appear to do the installation for you. The selection of beers change every month; apparently if you follow them on social media they'll keep you in the loop about what's new. When you go to purchase anything they take your phone number to keep track of what you bought and make some suggestions the next time you visit. Finally, they also carry a bunch of other specialty items: cheese, terrines, sausages, bitters, hot sauce- really the full beer-loving foodie set up. Truly a gem right off the island- if you're in the hood or passing through I highly recommend making the visit!

This review is really just an update on this location's new layout/set up (from what I was told…read morethey very recently switched their layout to a open concept warehouse type set up). Large open facing racks line both walls, plus there is a large refrigerator section for white wine and zinfandels etc. towards the back. In a nut shell it''s neat and tidy and better lit than I can recall their previous incarnation. There are a few stacks of boxes near the front with some products they may hope to showcase. The staff was quite friendly and even though that's not technically a point about decor, I thought it a good way to wrap this review 'comme un petit cadeaux' aka gift.
