Sara has been incredible, we honestly could not have gotten our daughter to sleep well without her. She literally saved us from the brink of insanity! In a matter of days she helped us teach our 4-1/2 month old daughter to fall sleep on her own in a gentle way that we felt totally comfortable with. The sleep books that are out there didn't give us the whole picture or they called for methods that we felt wouldn't work for us or our baby. What works at the newborn stage changes dramatically around 4 months and calls for a different approach to helping a baby sleep. We found ourselves endlessly bouncing our daughter on the yoga ball at night and for naps only to have her wake up the moment we put her down--and if we succeeded in putting her down asleep, she would still wake up 30 minutes later. Sara created a plan for us based on where we were at and what we wanted to accomplish. In our case we wanted to cut out the bouncing and move our daughter from the co-sleeper in our room into her crib in her nursery and help her learn to self soothe (and thus fall asleep and stay asleep). However, we were not comfortable with the idea of letting our baby cry it our alone. Sara respected that and gave us a brand new approach that made sense, and was not harsh at all. It is now so beautiful to watch our daughter fall asleep on her own! Sara provided us with daily check-in's and varied her advise to trouble shoot and handle the initial wake-ups. We are so grateful to her for helping us to remove the frustrating and time consuming process we had developed and to understand what our baby needs now. We were exhausted enough with a new baby! We can now meet the challenges ahead with a good foundation of healthy sleep patterns for our daughter and for ourselves, allowing us to be the parents we want to be with a clear head! We highly recommend Sara as a sleep consultant, she draws knowledge from many sources and can see the forest though the trees just when a new parent needs help the most! read more
