I referred Sara to my sister for working on her mortgage. The feedback I received has only been positive and praising.

I can't speak for Vanguard Finding in general but Sandra Meskin, who works as a mortgage broker for…read moreVanguard, is fantastic. I guess it depends on who you end up with. Sandra was recommended by my real estate agent having brought many deals to closing as quoted, no bait and switch here. Most importantly for me Sandra answered my numerous questions about just about everything you could think of. She would often reply late at night while I lay awake sweating over LTV, Fixed vs. Jumbo, points, and credit scores. She is also proactive in contacting me where as I've had experiences chasing mortgage brokers to get back to me in a timely manner as required by the deal!

After discussing my situation I agreed to apply for a pre-approval. Mr. Concepcion, after being provided with all my documents, quoted me a loan amount of $215, 000 loan 3.5 down (7,000). I agreed to this loan amount. However that very afternoon the first written correspondence I received from him indicated a loan amount of $210,000. I contacted Mr. Concepcion via telephone and he stated that the number did not fit and had to be lowered. I accepted this against my better judgement I should have known at that time that if a person's does not keep their word they have no character. On 2/26/2015, I received my pre-approval letter. It indicated a down payment of ten percent. I contacted Mr. Concepcion to ask him why did the pre-approval state ten percent. This fast talker stated to me that it was just put there because I indicated that I might put ten percent down but that it had nothing to do with the the loan. "Its just there." and does not affect the amount of the loan. He continued to insist to leave it on the pre-approval but I insisted it be removed especially since as he indicated it has nothing to do with my loan. Thankfully this conversation took place in my office via speakerphone. At this time Mr. Concepcion agreed to have it removed. Later in the afternoon he sends me an email and a pre-approval letter indicated a loan amount of $200,000. I contacted him and he states to me because I decided not to put the ten percent down which is not what was agreed upon ( he quoted me 3.5 down (7000) loan amount of $215, 000). Mr. Concepcion lies and states that we discussed the difference between FHA Loans and Conventional Loans. More lies, We actually discussed FHA Loan and VA loans. I wasted two days on someone who apparently had no intentions of being honest and did not give me the benefit of the doubt that among change after change I would not stop to think. This morning I unfortunately had a conversation with his Boss, Michael Mr. Chiffone. Nonchalant, un-apologetic, pretentious are all words that come to mind. My advice is if you find yourself dealing with this company record everything. Dishonesty, bait and switch come to mind. I will also be forwarding my complaint to the Better Business Bureau, The Consumer Complaint Agency, The State Regulatory Board and The Attorney General. I provided personal information and documents that I would not have done otherwise if German Concepcion would not have lied to me.

It is quite important to ensure you have those skills in someone when you are a first-time home buyer. You will hit the lottery if you use Bobby Papadopulos as your loan officer. There are not enough words to express the upmost gratitude and satisfaction with his services or his team. There are so many people in this industry for quick cash and possibly the wrong reasons. Bobby is the complete opposite. I was more than defeated in the home loan process. After a random yet quick search on Yelp, I found Bobby and decided to message him. I see why he has five stars. Although skeptical, because who is perfect? I have seen perfection in his abilities. Bobby allowed me to call him at 7:00 AM, through tears and disarray coming from my end, he stated, "I will help you". My situation was far from easy, he decided to still help us. Through diverse companies not explaining the process or requiring funds without explanation, Bobby held our hands throughout this entire process. From day one to closing day and beyond, Bobby does not leave you. He takes the time to explain to you what is occurring, why it is occurring and how to ensure a successful closing, organize finances and better yourself. He is extremely patient and understanding. He has worked in his personal time to guarantee deadlines would be met and satisfied. Without being local to me, he communicated with agencies near me to get the work done. Five stars does not compare to the amount that he and Contour Mortgage deserves. He has completely changed our lives for the better. Bobby is someone I wish was in every field not just the mortgage company because he brings professionalism, kindness, and perception. If you are looking for a home, find a home with a person who cares about your wellbeing above all. That will shape your mindset for your new journey- Bobby is the person to set you up on the right path. I will highly recommend him to anyone and everyone.

On January 6, 2026, I spoke with loan officer John Murphy of Cliffco Mortgage Bankers regarding my…read moreinterest in obtaining a Home Equity Line of Credit (HELOC). John explained that Cliffco does not offer HELOCs and instead recommended a cash-out refinance. After giving it considerable thought and doing my own research, I decided to move forward with the cash-out refinance based on his recommendation. On February 4, 2026, I provided all of the requested documentation, as well as every follow-up document requested afterward, in a timely manner. Based on my income, credit, and the fact that I owned my residence outright with no existing mortgage, I was under the impression that I qualified for the refinance. I was also advised, and independently confirmed through my own research, that a cash-out refinance would typically take approximately 30-45 days to complete. Today is August 8, 2026--six months after submitting my documentation--and I still do not have a resolution. At this point, I have completely lost confidence in the process and am extremely disappointed with my experience. I feel that I have spent an unreasonable amount of time, energy, and money trying to get this loan processed. There was very little proactive communication or follow-up from the bank. Most, if not all, of the follow-up came from me. When additional information was requested, I provided it, only to encounter what often felt like unnecessary or excessive requests that further delayed the process. Waiting six months for something I was told could take 30-45 days has been extremely frustrating. I believe I have been more than patient throughout this process. I am also a licensed real estate agent and have referred clients to Cliffco Mortgage Bankers in the past who were seeking financing. I have received mixed feedback from some of those clients, but I never expected to have such a negative experience myself--especially considering that I felt I had established a good rapport with the loan officer. Unfortunately, this experience has completely changed my opinion of Cliffco Mortgage Banker. Based on what I have personally experienced, I will not use or recommend Cliffco Mortgage Bankers in the future. To anyone considering using this company, I strongly encourage you to do your research, ask detailed questions about the expected timeline and communication process, and consider your alternatives before moving forward. My experience has been extremely disappointing, and I would not recommend Cliffco Mortgage Bankers

No other loan company I worked with did this, and so I had a lower credit score than I should have had when I locked in my rates with another company.
