Sarah Postma rocks! She did an amazing job capturing our proposal. Had K not pointed her out after popping the question, I never would have known she was there taking pics of us! In fact, when he pointed to her, my immediate instinct was to think that she was one of our friends because she waved and looked so friendly. Not only was Sarah kind and responsive throughout the communication process of setting things up for the big surprise, but another plus was the option to pay via credit card online. We are extremely pleased with the output of her work! Creative angles, perfectly timed snapshots of our expressions, and overall, flawless execution! I really appreciate the logistics of it all too. She had to arrive with plenty of time, keep an eye out for us, and really work under pressure! A USB of both color and black and white photos was mailed to us with a personalized handwritten card within 2 weeks, and oh! The preview of a few key photos emailed that very night was an awesome perk! The only part we're bummed out about is that she wasn't available for our wedding day! read more

Sarah is not only an incredible photographer, she is an amazing person. Every picture taken captures the action and beauty of the moment. The photos pop with superb lighting, excellent backdrops, and the subjects' personalities. Sarah took our engagement and wedding photos. We were impressed during our first meeting with her by her portfolio and genuine kindness. Our engagement shoot was fun. Sarah directed us and always kept an upbeat, positive attitude that really set the tone for the evening. The day of the wedding, Sarah and her assistant Beckie came early to take "getting ready" photos of both parties. Then, we headed to a nearby park to take wedding party photos. Sarah and Beckie continued to keep the energy light and happy throughout the 2 hour shoot before the wedding. The wedding ceremony, reception, family and dance photos are exceptional. Sarah and Beckie captured hundreds of memories, laughs, and moments of joy. They meshed well with the wedding party and felt more like guests than hired photographers. I can't stress enough how wonderful Sarah made the whole experience feel. My husband and I have looked through the library of photos dozens of times and still find hidden gems. This review is coming a little late, but my husband and I LOVED having Sarah capture our intimate elopement! She was very professional, yet laid back and made us feel very comfortable. She captured the most beautiful photos of not only us, but of the beautiful scenery surrounding us. She also made it a special point to come to our location (which included a ferry ride) without any hesitation, which was super nice since we could not find anyone else willing to do so for such a small ceremony. Sarah also set up a special FaceTime interview to have with me beforehand to make sure she knew exactly what it was we wanted from our photographer. We received so many breathtaking photos, it was hard to choose which were our favorites! Her photos came with a website login as well as a personalized USB, which she mailed to us not long after she finished our photos. Having our photos in both color and black and white was great, too. I would suggest Sarah as a photographer and would hire her again in a heartbeat! If I ever need photos done again for anything, I know who to hire for the job! read more

Where do I begin? Sarah is an outrageously brilliant photographer and I don't think I can write this review without crying. We fell in love with Sarah's style while looking at photographers' websites online. She uses natural light so masterfully and captures movement and life in her photos. We knew that photography was one of the few things on which we would not compromise...we wanted the best to help us remember our day. We did a mini engagement shoot with her to get to know each other, and it took just a few minutes to realize that we felt totally at-ease. When we told her that we liked a little more direction, she gave it! She made us laugh and smile and feel completely in the moment. It was misting and we were wandering in SoDo (per her amazing suggestion) and we had so much fun and grabbed a beer after. When we got our engagement photos back I was speechless. I couldn't believe that someone we had just met was capable of capturing our essence so easily. It made me even more excited for our wedding day. Simply AMAZING! Sarah photographed our wedding last September and not only were the photos breathtaking, she is a complete joy to work with! The wedding photo package included a session of engagement photos which we took in the spring prior to the wedding. We visited three locations in both the city and suburbs of Chicago and spent an entire afternoon capturing beautiful moments. My fiance actually enjoyed having his photo taken! They really grasped our personalities - we loved them so much that we incorpated them into the table numbers at our reception. Leading up to the wedding, we emailed often and even met for coffee. She answered all of my questions (some of them not even relating to photography, just random wedding questions as I knew she had been involved in so many!). We put together a detailed schedule for the day and she took detailed notes to ensure she would get all of the shots I wanted. As for the wedding, words can't express how magical the photos are. My fiance and I took photos before the ceremony - all around Michigan Avenue and they turned out amazing. The colors in the photos are unbelievable and the way she was able to highlight the beautiful architecture as our back-drop was GORGEOUS! When I look at the ceremony photos it's almost as if she was in 5 places at once - capturing all the emotion and special moments from every angle of the church. We've gotten so many compliments on our photos from friends and family. They make me smile from ear to ear everytime I look at them (which is all the time!!!). The icing on the cake is that Sarah is an awesome person. She made us and our wedding party feel at ease at all times. Everyone told me how much they loved her sweet personality. My husband and I can't express enough how lovely it was working with Sarah on our wedding day!!! We live in NYC but had a destination wedding in Bellingham. We are both visual artists and took a long hard look at photographers in the Pacific Northwest. We liked how Sarah documented rather than staged photographs during the course of the day. She was organized, kept the days schedule in order, made everyone feel comfortable and had a cheerful, laid back approach. The photos we received after our wedding were so gorgeous and special! Sarah was probably the most organized and easy to work with vendor out of all of my wedding vendors. Her photography is super-amazingly-awesome and totally captures the entire essence of the event. She is very relaxed while working with you as a couple or a family of 30 including 4 generations. She made a point of writing down photos and parts of the wedding that were really important to me and captured every one of them. While my attention was being pulled every which way, she would send reminder emails for important dates/deadlines. She was on time and extremely professional throughout the whole process and I was so happy with the final photos and album. Sarah was an AMAZING wedding photographer. She is incredibly professional, hard-working and so much fun to work with. Never having hired a photographer before, my fiance and I had a ton of questions and Sarah was ready to answer all of them quickly and very sweetly (even though I am sure she gets those same questions daily). She took the time to get to know us and really understand what we wanted in wedding photos. She worked with us tirelessly leading up to the wedding, helping develop the best strategy for what we wanted. The engagement session was a total blast but the real fun came at the wedding. Sarah made me feel like the most beautiful bride in the world. The pictures turned out amazing and during the solo session she was so complimentary and kept my confidence up.
