We originally had a different photographer for our wedding/engagement photos and she did our engagement photo shoot. However That didn't end well and My coworkers sister in law gave me Katy's information. From our initial conversation Katy seemed legitimately excited about working with us from the emails you can tell that she genuinely enjoys her job. She was great with communication I am honestly terrible with it and with all the times I forgot to get back to her she had no issue with working with us. She knew we were on a pretty tight budget and she even changed a package around for us because she wouldn't be doing a engagement shoot with us. Now to the wedding day this women and her fiancé (at the time now husband congrats!!!!) were like picture taking ninjas I literally did not see them standing around at any moment they were working the entire time they were around us. They both have amazing eyes for photos. While I'm thinking she's taking a picture of us with radon branches in our faces she's capturing a beautiful photo of us surrounded by the beautiful greenery in volunteer park. We also made her aware that we didn't want to take the traditional "corny" photos that you see at a wedding and we're both pretty awkward and don't really want to be posing in positions that are more acting and not genuine. She was able to get us in the perfect positions and all the photos felt natural and none forced. Did I mention the amount of photos she gave us and the extremely fast turn around. We saw all of our photos in 4 days the same night she gave us a sneak peak of about 3 photos. We went to Hawaii for a week and had a USB with all of our photos on it at our doorstep when we got back. When we plan on having kids when we plan to renew our vows I might even make up random events just so we can have a photographer. Every time I will contact Katy for the amazing work and experience she gave us. She was by far more then i expected and I would recommend her to any and everyone that needs an event photographer. Katy is hands down, the best person for whatever you need photographed!! I may be a little biased since she's been snapping my photo since our first day of college, but seeing her from the beginning of her career in photography until now has been such an amazing joy as she gets better all the time and is constantly striving to learn new techniques to make every picture she takes better than the last. As a result, I have an ungodly number of incredible photos - everything from candids to weddings and everything in between. She's captured some of my most treasured moments in life and made it possible for me to feel that joy every day when I look at my walls or page through a scrapbook. Most recently I did a stylized Mary Poppins photo shoot with her and I cannot believe the response it has received and how beautiful the photos are. Katy came highly recommended to me when I was looking for wedding photographers and I can honestly say she was recommended for many good reasons: First, and probably most important, is that Katy is a fun, easy-going, and wonderful person. This makes her a joy to work with. If you don't like your photographer, you're not going to take beautiful photos. My now-husband was uncomfortable about getting his picture taken, but after working with Katy, he realized that it really just takes an awesome person to make you come out of your shell. Katy can do that. Second, Katy is incredibly talented. Just look at her portfolio. She captures the child in all of us. Whimsy, fun, joy, light, positivity, magic, love - just some words I would describe when I see her photos. Third, Katy is an incredible working professional. She gets back to your emails faster than the speed of light, she's on-time, she's incredibly regimented. We knew from the beginning, when we met Katy and her husband over beer at a local brewery, that they were the perfect photographers for us!  We felt so comfortable with these two and were so excited to see what they could do. They travelled up to Mt Baker for some excited engagement photos, where we felt so comfortable and at ease with how Katy put us in front of the camera and captured moments that didn't look or feel awkward. Throughout the whole wedding planning process, Katy kept in touch with me, helping to create the perfect timeline and providing her own valuable input.  Katy is so organized and prepared, she asks some great questions to learn about us, and then captured our essence in every photo. Katheryn did our photoshoot with our little one and we are so happy with all the pictures. I was looking for a photographer and found her on the internet. I reached out to her and she immediately replied to us. She then sent us the contract and the mode of payment. We were scheduled the following week. It was smooth and the process was quick. She then came to our place. She was wearing mask and doing all precautions in handling our little one. She was gentle with her and knows how to calm her down. Our daughter was very fussy at first but she really knows how to sooth her. Katheryn brought lots of stuff/props for the pictorial. She then assured us that she washes/cleans them every after client use. We are so happy with all the pictures and definitely will contact her again in the near future for our family photoshoot. My husband and I had the pleasure of working with Katheryn for our engagement, rehearsal dinner and wedding photos. I found Katy on Craigslist and was super nervous about meeting her, but as soon as she walked up I knew I was in great hands! I noticed Katheryn's work published in Bellingham Alive and contacted her about photographing our newly built home. I wanted to capture full rooms and small vignettes for use on my social media.
