Excellent family law practice with tough smart attorneys who will walk you through the ever…read morecomplicated, confusing, and stressful world of Texas family law. I'm your average everyday idiot, and if they could explain the process in terms I can understand, then most other people should have no problem. Christina Tillenger handled my child custody case and let me tell you, she is smart and loves a good fight. She never showed weakness or fear, on the contrary, she was ready to argue and fight for my daughter and me. As a father in Texas, battling for custody of a child whose mother had technically done nothing wrong, I didn't really feel our chances were great. Christina and her team had me put those feelings of uncertainty aside and got busy building a strategy. After a long hard fight, we won and my daughter has been living (rather happily, I should mention) with me. To be clear, the road to a custody battle is long, hard on the family, and costly. But, nothing cheap is good and nothing good is cheap. The Enos law firm was worth the money and they worked with me on payments. My family was worth the money and time. If you want to hire some of the best in the business who will be honest and work hard for your cause, the Enos firm should be high on your list of prospective attorneys.

I…read morehired Greg Enos because he has a lot of information on his website on how to deal with a narcissist. Don't let that fool you. I think he is a narcissist himself and hates women. I told him that I had been dealing with a narcissist that had been gaslighting me for years. When I told him about something I had done, he replied "Well, that was just stupid ". He was also very condescending, short and down right rude to me. He was always cutting me off. On top of that, the day that someone from his firm was supposed to be at my house for an inventory, no one showed up. When I called his office they had no explanation. My soon to be ex-husband contacted his attorney and she told my husband that Greg told her that "Kristina doesn't give a f$$k". I spent over $6,500 to get treated that way and only a month's worth of representation (if you can call it that!)

I'm not sure if I can disclose her rate but needless to say it was the most affordable hourly rate I had been quoted compared to the other attorneys that practice law in Harris County (my case was in the 312th district court Judge David Farr). Her law office was the best I had been in. She felt confident she could argue my case before the judge and fight for my rights as a father to help me get custody of my 2 year old daughter and unborn son. My friends all told me to save my money and the judge would order me joint custody by default. They told me there was no point in hiring an attorney and just to ask the judge for "equal custody". Now that I'm several months into my child custody case, I wish I had retained Ms. Portz as my lawyer. Most of my money for retainer fees has already gone to the child support payments and I have to pay for all the mistakes I have made in my case including being found in contempt of court. I have mediation this month and if you can't tell, I'm a nervous wreck. Do yourself a favor and hire an attorney (any attorney) if you are in a divorce or child custody proceeding. Don't pay $200 initial consultation fee other attorneys charge and don't pay $500 consultation fee for "board certified attorneys". Don't make the same mistakes as I did. Hire Virginia Portz -- you'll be glad you did.

Deadlines were missed, and there appeared to be very little attention to detail in documents submitted on our behalf. In several instances, we had to carefully proofread filings ourselves to identify errors before they went to the court. That level of oversight should not fall on the client. Billing was another serious concern. We were charged for extensive "research" even when much of the factual information had already been provided to the firm. The invoices did not reflect the level of progress or preparedness we expected for the amount billed. Overall, we did not feel that our matter was treated as a priority, and the firm did not demonstrate the level of knowledge in this area of law that they initially represented. Clients seeking representation should proceed cautiously and ask detailed questions about billing practices and case management before retaining this firm.

Nothing was changed regarding my wage garnishment. They didn't even contact the original county presiding over the case which was Galveston County. They sent a modification request to the state's AG office. I contacted them only to find out that they had nothing to do with the original divorce case. It was only registered with them. The attorney assigned to my case was on leave of course. The paralegal basically had no idea what she was doing other than submitting a request form. Again, do not use this attorney. They're a disorganized mess. If they can't handle a very, very simple case like mine. Imagine what would happen if you hired them for a much bigger case.
