Excellent family law practice with tough smart attorneys who will walk you through the ever…read morecomplicated, confusing, and stressful world of Texas family law. I'm your average everyday idiot, and if they could explain the process in terms I can understand, then most other people should have no problem. Christina Tillenger handled my child custody case and let me tell you, she is smart and loves a good fight. She never showed weakness or fear, on the contrary, she was ready to argue and fight for my daughter and me. As a father in Texas, battling for custody of a child whose mother had technically done nothing wrong, I didn't really feel our chances were great. Christina and her team had me put those feelings of uncertainty aside and got busy building a strategy. After a long hard fight, we won and my daughter has been living (rather happily, I should mention) with me. To be clear, the road to a custody battle is long, hard on the family, and costly. But, nothing cheap is good and nothing good is cheap. The Enos law firm was worth the money and they worked with me on payments. My family was worth the money and time. If you want to hire some of the best in the business who will be honest and work hard for your cause, the Enos firm should be high on your list of prospective attorneys.

Mixed review. Overbilling. Loss of my documents as their share drop file link did not work…read moreconsistently and no record of documents I submitted. This firm drives up costs. They were in no hurry to settle the case early. Some employees are honest and ethical, and some incredibly dishonest and unethical. The main attorney is critical, cursed at me, and told me "you are not likable". The main attorney has a pattern of suing his clients for overbilled fees. The main attorney made claims my case was costly and complex because he had to communicate with my forensic accountant often. He did not. I had a contract with my forensic accountant, communicated myself with her, and asked her not to call their law office. The forensic accountant only creates a report and submits it; no need for expensive calls.

I consulted with 3 child custody attorneys (a divorce lawyer in Kingwood, an attorney specializing…read morein civil litigation in Humble, and another child custody attorney in Houston) before a friend referred me to Ms. Virginia Portz. I'm not sure if I can disclose her rate but needless to say it was the most affordable hourly rate I had been quoted compared to the other attorneys that practice law in Harris County (my case was in the 312th district court Judge David Farr). Her law office was the best I had been in. She felt confident she could argue my case before the judge and fight for my rights as a father to help me get custody of my 2 year old daughter and unborn son. My friends all told me to save my money and the judge would order me joint custody by default. They told me there was no point in hiring an attorney and just to ask the judge for "equal custody". Now that I'm several months into my child custody case, I wish I had retained Ms. Portz as my lawyer. Most of my money for retainer fees has already gone to the child support payments and I have to pay for all the mistakes I have made in my case including being found in contempt of court. I have mediation this month and if you can't tell, I'm a nervous wreck. Do yourself a favor and hire an attorney (any attorney) if you are in a divorce or child custody proceeding. Don't pay $200 initial consultation fee other attorneys charge and don't pay $500 consultation fee for "board certified attorneys". Don't make the same mistakes as I did. Hire Virginia Portz -- you'll be glad you did.

Our experience with this firm was extremely disappointing. The quality of service and communication…read morewas far below what one would reasonably expect from a professional legal practice. Deadlines were missed, and there appeared to be very little attention to detail in documents submitted on our behalf. In several instances, we had to carefully proofread filings ourselves to identify errors before they went to the court. That level of oversight should not fall on the client. Billing was another serious concern. We were charged for extensive "research" even when much of the factual information had already been provided to the firm. The invoices did not reflect the level of progress or preparedness we expected for the amount billed. Overall, we did not feel that our matter was treated as a priority, and the firm did not demonstrate the level of knowledge in this area of law that they initially represented. Clients seeking representation should proceed cautiously and ask detailed questions about billing practices and case management before retaining this firm.

I do not recommend this attorney office. I hired them for a divorce in May of this year. Five…read moremonths later and a total of $15,000 in legal fees, and still no divorce. I was told that I may need to pay an additional $3,000 once we went into mediation. What?!!! I had no choice but to change lawyers in order to get what I so desperately needed. After a month with the new lawyer I finally got my divorce. I am still trying to communicate with this office to get the remainder of my trust fund. They continued to drain my account after I hired a new lawyer, and refuse to give me what is left. How can someone be so cruel? I was victimized by both this law office and my ex. Keep your money and go somewhere else.
