I'm so glad I was referred to Dr. SASAURA, I had both hips replaced in 2019. I can't say enough about how extremely happy I've been since then. If you use all the instructions he and his staff tell you, like me you will be agreeing with my rating & review. I never used a cane, crutches, wheelchair & my ordered walker still has its tags on it. Loving and teaching dance for years, I still do so when the opportunity arises. The staff was very nice and even though the patients were many waiting I felt I was given courteous treatment and opportunity to speak and answer questions. I have recommended many persons to Dr. SASAURA and of course insurance is so limited and hard to get I would hope many will make sure you can have the right insurance to get him. 3 years ago, Sasaura replaced my left knee with some clickety, clunky contraption. I saw him a year later to demonstrate my uncoordinated, uncomfortable gait, hyperextending then buckling. He seemed annoyed and said "Come on, it's not like it's a real knee". He then shuffled me off to some other PT. I like my other "bone on bone" knee much better 98% of the time. read more

I really regret not doing a more thorough review research on Dr Sasaura prior to him doing my surgery. After having major surgery I never saw or spoke to this guy again for many months. He never made a point to even meet with me at the hospital afterward my surgery. It was like he got paid and didn't know you anymore. It took his office 4 months to get my physical therapy scheduled when this selection information was provided to them before my surgery. I will now be looking for another orthopedic surgeon to transfer my medical records to since months after surgery this guy is not interested in my severe pain and has ignored the fact that there were other problems that showed up on my x-ray that he chose to ignore and brush off that is causing other medical problems that he's claimed he has no knowledge of when 2 other doctors are not agreeing with him. With all of the chronic problems that have occurred after allowing him to do my surgery, he had the audacity to say see you again in 3 months and don't bother me about pain medication. There is no sincere concerned with patient carfe or customer service, and his interest in a patient is based only on what he can bill your insurance for and nothing else about your health care matters to him. There are better OS doctors out there. Don't settle for this one. Your wellbeing & livelihood deserves better his insurance money laundering attitude. read more

I agree with Aidan. For me it's been 17 months. I got one better. Had a bone scan and it indicated "loosening".. his response? "a little activity, but nothing of significance" was a hiker, walker, rode my bike..yoga .. can't do these very long without swelling and pain...feels like I'm carry around a rock.. I asked him why. He says who knows, never been asked that..I asked for a follow- up it's been 6 months.. totally ignored... DONT LET HIM DO A REPLACEMENT ON YOU. At the hospital the attendants were making bets to see how fast he could do my surgery. This was said in front of me and my sister, prior, apparently he has a speed reputation..now NO other doctor will see me. So frustrated... read more

Dr. Sasaura gave me my life back! I am an avid gardener who had an anterior hip replacement in 2014 at the age of 57 with another orthopedic surgeon, but that replacement failed. I went to Dr. Sasaura for a hip revision years later, and today, that hip is finally the best joint in my body. I am back to my gardening and doing the things I love. He is a personable surgeon, and I felt like a valued patient with him. His expertise in fixing a significant problem was stellar. I would highly recommend him. read more

2 years after my right knee replacement performed by Dr Jamieson continued to hurt with flexion, my internist referred me to Dr Sasaura. I was immediately impressed with Dr Sasaura. In one visit he had an idea of what the problem was and he then did a revision of the patellar component which had been cut incorrectly by the previous surgeon. Dr Sasaura also found cement debris that had been left on the femoral component by my previous surgeon and cleaned that debris out of the joint. My knee has been great ever since. I cannot thank Dr Sasaura enough for repairing my knee. I also am a medical surgical RN at a local hospital and have always heard positive reports from Dr Sasaura's patients. For these reasons I would highly recommend Dr Sasaura for joint replacement surgery. His staff were organized and accessible which may not seem important but I have come to respect and appreciate a well-run medical office. read more

I'm 6 weeks out from my knee replacement and have been walking without assistance since the end of the 2nd week. Had the Makoplasty assisted robotic surgery at Roseville outpatient surgery center and would highly recommend it. Great team from the from desk to the recovery room. My particular surgery was a rousing success and I can't say thanks enough to the entire team that made my adventure a positive journey. Dr Sasaura was excellent in every way. He seems to have the ability to be going ten directions at once yet still tune right in to the moment. ( helpful with a scalpel in hand..tisktisk) He listens well! I'm so disappointed. I started off with Dr. Hunter Green, then the Friday before my Monday surgery I get Dr. Sasaura because we're going to do a TKR, not a partial knee replacement. Dr. Sasaura left me with a lot of pain and suffering, including play in the joint, a crooked leg causing knock knee, one leg longer than the other, a limp, loud clicking noises every step and movement I make, and the need for another surgery to correct all the problems he created. He goes as fast as he can, refuses to see you when you have a problem, even when your home health care professionals are calling their office complaining there are problems that need to be addressed, and blows you off when he does see the problems . Do NOT go to this office or this doctor. I will be holding him accountable. Everyone else should too. It's time he stop doing C- work on people. I'm sure he's capable of doing better than this, but greed is getting in his way. read more

Extremely unhappy. Saw his partner Dr Hunter Green and he recommended Dr Sasaura to perform the surgery. I was told I was a "perfect candidate" (58, athletic). 7 months out can barely lightly walk 1 mile and leg is 3/8 inch longer. Almost everything flares it up. Questionable as to whether I was better before? Never answers patient portal. On return visits his response was "bummer" and " the surgery is fine" . Sent me back to his partner who said he has no idea. I'm ruined and he and his partner have no ideas why? read more
