It's quiet, extremely clean and the owners are great people! There is a small pottery store on site and she has alot of different types to choose from. Organic beef and free range chicken eggs are also available here! I'm taking my 10 month old son to see the chickens and the new baby cows that they have outside the door! We have stayed in multiple hotels and private rentals and none come close to The Guest House Bellingham in location, price, comfort, etc. The location is close to the WWU campus, Fairhaven and Bellingham. It is a very short walk to Boulevard park which is a beautiful place to watch the sunset. The owner Sharon is thoughtful and helpful and keeps the rooms incredibly clean and nicely appointed. It's peaceful, relaxing, beautiful, amazing, lovely, just everything you would want to experience on a week-end get-a-way. I would suggest staying a week! We went exploring on Saturday, our first stop was the small town of Glacier just 4 miles up the road. We stopped at the little Grocery store, to pick up a few supplies. They have espresso!! If you order it before you shop they bring it to you while you shop. Also, ice cream on the cone. There's an adorable 2nd hand store, they sell homemade soaps and candles as well. I Love this town! Leaving Glacier we headed toward Nooksack falls just 7 miles further up the road. Breathe taking view. I watched the Deer Hunters movie a few weeks ago, and I knew that the Nooksack falls were featured in the hunting scene of the movie. Did Meryl Streep and Robert DeNiro walk the same path as we did??? Probably not, but it's still absolutely worth the stop, it's beautifully dangerous. Back on the one way road to Mt, Baker Highway, then 14 miles to Artist Point, located at the very end of Mount Baker Highway. I felt a little intimidated on the road to artist Point, it's only about 3 miles long and with the switchbacks it's crazy exciting and lovely winding up more than 5000 feet above sea level as you arrive at the top. Yes, it boasts 360-degree views of Mount Shuksan and Mount Baker. All of this, just 22 miles from the Sasquatch Mountain Hideaway cabin. We climbed a short distance to an open area, and had lunch in the snow, on a beautiful August afternoon. What do you do when you didn't bring a sled? Well you use your coat and you go Coatesbogganing! We returned to the cabin, and started the grill. We had Grilled salmon, salad, baked potato and white wine, all out on the balcony. A very pleasant non-exhausting day. This mountain hideaway features a gourmet kitchen, private bedrooms; lovely bathrooms, leather sofas big screen TV's and choice of movies, or bring your own. If you wish they have big foot slippers to wear around the cabin, and much more. This cabin is perfectly located for enjoying every season for any reason, I love our beautiful Great Northwest. The Sasquatch Mountain Hideaway makes it easy.

Hosts share wonderful design, with an interest in good food (yummy simple breakfast including home grown and made strawberry jam!) and people. We loved our stay, including comfortable beds, very clear rooms, garden view and a walk to nearby restaurants for dinner. We visited in October-- and imagine during warmer months the garden would be most lovely!

Great location if you're visiting Bellingham or nearby areas. You're right off I-5, so you're in…read moreand out pretty quickly. It's a 15 min walk from downtown, but we didn't run into any problems with parking in downtown Bellingham. There are plenty of parking spots at GuestHouse. Woods coffee is in the same lot, so it was nice immediately going through their drive through for good coffee. Fred Meyer is immediately across the street so if you forgot anything at home, or need something, it's a quick purchase. The staff was nice and check in and out was smooth and easy. The rooms were cleaned and more modern than the lobby and hallways. It's a dog friendly hotel and we were right next to the exit, so it was nice getting our dog in and out for the bathroom. The shower head could be better. The room felt a bit humid. There was free breakfast in the morning, it's limited breakfast, but it has the basics-- coffee, cereal, waffle, bread, yogurt. You can't take the breakfast food to your room though.

This is a review of the B&B and of the golf course…read more The bed and breakfast is located next to the golf course and is owned by the the same family that owns the course. Best described as a resort. It is located out of the way from Harrison Hot Springs and it is in a tranquil and quiet area next to the Harrison River. The original house on the property has been renovated, and a golf course was added by the descendants of the original owner of the property. The main house has been renovated so that each room is a guest room. In addition, each room bears one of the names of the original ancestral occupants of the house. There are also cottages that are available for overnight stays. The cottages are separate from the main guest house and is nestled a little more into the forest that surrounds this property. Dinning is offered by the River's Edge Restaurant, that also serves the Sandpiper Golf course patrons. Foodwise, it is OK. The Sandpiper Golf Course is a very nice place for a round. It runs along the Harrison River on a couple of holes and also has old growth trees on a few others. There is also an airstip near one, possibly two holes. Don't knock you balls onto the airstrip, it is OB! I've seen planes land there on ocassion. A very nice place for an escape from the city, or for a round of golf. I've played here several times.
