Excellent food and great service. By far the best choice for Indian food in the area around Chorleywood

The service is always good and the guys here are happy to let you linger over your Cobra and poppadums as long as you like before embarking on your journey through the epic menu. This makes for a lovely, relaxed night out in Chalfont St Peter with great food and great company. Highly recommended.

Before I leave this review may I add that I have sent the following letter to Raj Darbar's contact…read moreemail address and have received no reply. I was willing to negotiate however with no reply from the management what more can I do. Maybe now I will get a response? For the attention of the manager. Order Number: 174644504 Dear Sir/Madame, On 12th July at 21:09 I ordered a takeaway from your restaurant; unfortunately the delivery did not arrive until 22:20 - leaving us waiting an hour and ten minutes, I did received a call from the restaurant at 21:57 to inform me that their was a slight delay but was informed that the food would be with us in ten minutes, however it arrived 23 minutes later! I live 10 minutes from the restaurant so I am flabbergasted that it took that long. When the food arrived the Chicken Korma was lukewarm, the breadcrumbs that the king prawn butterfly was covered in were over cooked, resulting in it tasting like burnt toast and certainly not worth £7.90. The oil that the Onion Bhaji's were cooked in had soaked through the two brown bags that they had been put in; leaving the contents of the takeaway greasy. The Poppadom's were soggy - may I add that most Indian restaurants give Poppadom's and the appropriate condiments to customers free for orders over £20, I have never had to pay for them from any other restaurant, so under the circumstances I would expect them to be edible. Overall it was a very unsatisfying meal, leaving my partner and I still hungry. As this was the first time I have ordered with you I am very disappointed with the level of service I received from your premises, as a result I would like a full refund of £26.45 to my card that I paid with online. Yours faithfully, Katie Cook

Genuinely the best Indian food I've ever had in my life. We just ordered a bunch of stuff, from…read moresamosas and butter chicken to kabab and broccoli salad. Absolutely nothing we didn't love! Service was also fantastic! I noticed they're super intentional about allergies and brought out an entire tablet for my friend to cross-reference with the menu.

We started with some yummy cocktails and the okra fries which were delicious - if only okra always tasted this good. For mains, we shared the chicken tikka, black daal, paneer and garlic naan. Pretty standard Indian order. The chicken tikka was just too spicy and we weren't used to that so it went mainly eaten. My favorite was the black daal but again, it wasn't so amazing that I would go and have it again. Honestly the best dish we had was dessert - the basmati kheer is a perfect rice pudding with crème brûlée like topping. So good. Service was spotty, I constantly found myself trying to find our server or make eye contact with him. They were slammed on a Tuesday night (which I'm sure is the case every night) so that's probably just the way things are but it could've been better. Disappointed but willing to try again, also made me want to try some other Indian spots in London next.
