We brought 16 people to your course for an unformal, but annual event on the understanding we were beating your fall maintenance. We were LIED to. Now, as a golfer, local to the area, would any of us, in healthy mind and of sound judgment, play a $37.50 Indian Bluff, Aerated? The answer is no. I'm not going to pretend I went out of my way to play it in the first place but I won't be back. Ever. And B. Finally B. Lower the rough length 2 inches. Way too much time wasted looking for golf balls right off the fairways. It will still be penalizing due to the density. Shouldn't lose balls you watch land and stop.

I've played Highland Springs a few times when back in town visiting. I like the course, the staff is always friendly and good. However, with the weather they have had in the area this spring, record rain and flooding, it's just not playable right now. They cannot get equipment on the course to maintain it. It would tear it up. The fairways are what the rough should look like. The rough it what out of bounds should be. I can't count the number of balls our foursome lost that should have been easy to find. Gnats, OMG. You open your mouth they fly in. Breathe through your nose and you suck them in. I have ringing in my ears and with the buzzing it was pretty distracting. 8 hours later when trying to go to sleep my wife and I both felt like we were still being swarmed. Our skin was crawling. It needs at least a month of normal to no rain to recover. It will be a good course again. It just needs time. I can say a complaint we had is they should not be charging full price with the course in this condition. There should be a significant discount right now.

I had to go to the front and ask many times to get refills. The staff was more interested in watching the TVs and watching their phones than helping the customers. The simulators were high end and worked well with numerous courses to play, that was the best part. Poor service loses customers, they need to remind the staff that they need to put their phones down. One staff person walked through the whole place while watching his phone instead of checking on the customers. Disappointing visit.
