This place is everything you want in a golf course if you are a laid back golfer. It's not expensive, it's not too hard, yet they do a pretty good job making sure the course is nice. Such a fun course. For a below average player like myself it's great !! You can't beat the price $21 for 9 or $26 for 18 holes

If all courses were as easy as Saukie, golf would not be the infuriating sport it is. Fairly flat, no water hazards, and a limited number of bunkers. I think Tiger--well, the whoring Tiger--could probably break 50 here. Even a hacker can enjoy himself at Saukie. I played for my high school's team one year, and it got me a summer of free golf. Monday to Friday, noon to 3, I believe. So a limited window, but hey, free golf. What else are you going to do when you're fifteen, ride your bike and get high in the cemetery? Saukie was a godsend. Being at best a mediocre golfer, my favorite part of the day was usually the trip to the clubhouse. Since I'd gotten the round for free, I didn't feel too bad about springing for a burger and a Cherry Coke. If I'd had an especially good or bad round, I'd get a cheese danish. And I think I just got diabetes typing that. read more

The course itself is pretty nice, and I have been here a couple times. I enjoy playing golf here. The price advertised is $25 for a round and a cart, however we got charged more than that per person. That was okay, until we were on the 17th hole and an elderly employee named John came up to my friend and I and accused us of playing extra holes. Our tee time was 1:29pm and we were on the green of the 17th hole at 5:20pm. He repeatedly accused us and argued us about the time we began our round. When we questioned him, he threatened to kick us off the course. He then stared at me as I attempted my put for par. As my par sailed right, my friend asked him if he was enjoying his stare. He replied "yes, because I can stare." Who does this guy think he is? He was completely in the wrong and really ruined my round. He did not apologize, and neither did the other employee in the clubhouse when we went to try to file a complaint. I will never return to the Saukie golf course and will tell everyone else that I know to do the same. Completely unprofessional. If i pay for 18 holes and am playing at a solid 4 hour pace (the average time for a round of golf) I expect to be able to play it peacefully. I hope John sees this, and I hope the manager, Todd Winters, does as well. read more

It was a very simple golf course, my team and I came and golfed against Rocky. It was not as difficult as the other courses I have been to but it was nice and some of the holes were gorgeous. Very laid back. The woman who assisted me at the desk was courteous, and it was an over all good experience. read more

One of the most affordable courses in the Quad City area. Saukie is a well-kept course with a more than challenging array of holes. They only downside is the numerous hills that can be found on almost every hole. No water, Saukie is great for those beginning and a good for practice otherwise. read more
