Savannah took our engagement photos in Lake Tahoe (pictured) and will also be our wedding photographer next year. There are so many things I can say about how wonderful and talented she is (and the photos truly speak for themselves), but I will break down a few of my favorite qualities in the following categories: Communication: Savannah prides herself on being an excellent communicator, and I can see why! She is super responsive to email and answered all of our questions so quickly and thoroughly. We gave Savannah a few pointers about what our vision was for the location of our shoot (expansive views, nature, forest, etc.), and she came through with amazing, well-researched and thoughtful recommendations. We ultimately chose Lake Tahoe based on her suggestion! She also kept us apprised of the timeline for our photoshoot day and what to expect. After our photoshoot, she sent us sneak peaks almost immediately. We were so impressed, and obsessed over our photos for weeks! Photography: Her skills are off the charts. She captures the best, most natural moments and makes you feel incredibly comfortable while doing it (even in freezing cold weather!). If you think you or your partner may be awkward, you have nothing to worry about. She has poses ready to go so you don't have to think too much. You just get to enjoy the day while she captures the magic. She is also very receptive to your own suggestions! If there is a pose you want to try or a specific picture you want to capture, she welcomes it. Personality: Savannah is the sweetest person. We had so much fun hanging out with her leading up to, during, and after our shoot. She is extremely easy to get along with and you can tell she genuinely cares about her clients and making this the best experience for them. Her work ethic is amazing to see: she puts an enormous amount of time and effort into making your photoshoot come out perfectly, and she does this on top of her super busy schedule. She also goes above and beyond. From the beginning, she answered my millions of questions and even researched dress options for me! We honestly had so much fun during our engagement shoot that we regularly reminisce and want to go back and redo it! :) TL;DR - If you are researching adventure photographers and you don't know what to do, book Savannah ASAP! It is 3 months later, but despite time, my new husband and I still feel compelled to share our positive experience & gratitude for Savannah! It was fate of a short time frame & reasonable pricing for quality work that brought us to Savannah, but it was her great customer service, quick communication & personable & FUN interactions with her that makes us adore her & our experience & photos! We got married last Black Friday after Thanksgiving, but only had a short 2 months to plan it. With it being somewhat of a holiday & such short notice, Savannah was able to step up to the challenge & we are so grateful we went with her! Even with her busy traveling schedule, she was able to still coordinate an engagement photoshoot to make that happen for us & we fell in love. We did a shoot in Downtown San Diego & she clearly put in lots of thought to our request & inspiration by thoroughly researching beautiful & accessible spots & created a detailed timeline. First off, my husband is NOT a picture guy comfortable with photoshoots. She made us feel at ease with her easy going & fun personality, like we'd been friends forever & got so many genuine laughing photos out of us! When I noticed a cute whiskey bar that we passed, although it was not on the timeline, she let us plug it in, enjoyed a quick drink with us to help us feel even more comfortable & took beautiful photos there too, but still got us back on to our timeline for the sunset, as we requested as a priority! I love that kind of fun & flexible nature that I know would be needed for the wedding day craziness! Savannah was able to get us back on track & even took a few extra moments as we noticed a beautiful full moon as well. She got the sneak peak back the next day & the photos to me sooner than she usually allows! This helped us in being able to use them for more of the wedding planning & photo prints for the wedding day. So not only did we have amazing photos from the engagement shoot, but it really gave my husband and I an opportunity to feel the love & enjoy a moment in our crazy process. Our wedding day was an exact reflection of how our engagement shoot went with her & it was nice to feel like we had a friend who has lots of experience help us enjoy & navigate it! She & our second amazing shooter, Holly, were fun & flexible all day again, making us laugh, keeping us on track while letting us enjoy the moment & our beauuuutiful photos (that we got back just a quickly!) reflected it.
