I've been seeing Dr. Huynh for several years and I think she has done a great job with my medication management. She adjusted the main medication I was taking under my previous doctor to something that she thought would work better for my symptoms and this turned out to be a good change. She has also helped with smaller adjustments and the addition of supplemental medications based on my symptoms and what was currently going on in my life. In addition we get along well and I think she is genuinely interested in knowing about how I am doing and how she can help. Something else I have enjoyed about Savant Care is that the office is very efficient in emailing me with email confirmations and reminders and responds quickly when I email them. read more

I do not recommend savant care. My interactions with the finance department have been overall negative as they surprisingly charged me for past sessions without notice; sessions that I thought I already paid for. They told me they gave me notice saying it is a 24 hr notice. The fees they notified me about were fees that were NOT given to me before treatment or else I wouldn't have scheduled an appointment. The amount they were charging me was over $1000...that was charged to my card on file and was going to be finalized in 24hrs. I don't have $1000 to give up in 24hrs. If I had known it would've cost that much I wouldn't have scheduled the appointments. The finance department does not seem to care about patients/people. If they did, they would have thought twice before charging someone over $1000 dollars without more notice. I don't have that kind of money. I will be speaking to the finance department in the morning to hopefully create a payment plan. Please stay away from savant care. They caused increased emotional and financial distress. If I had time and money, I would consult a lawyer about my experience. If there are lawyers in her that are open for a consultation, I am open to it. I'm sure I'm not the only one experiencing this seemingly unethical behavior and treatment of patients. I was belittled, aggressively name called and mislabeled, shamed, yelled at, verbally abused, lied about, defamed, and name called some very disrespectful things during a session with Dr, Tamara Chambless. She made up things that I didn't even say and acted as if I said something I didn't. I also was completely harmed and she blamed me for how she verbally abuse me. I was open to whatever suggestion she had. She treated me like I'm some criminal. She insulted me, traumatized and exacerbated my mental health, screamed through out the session, didn't let me talk, did not listen to a single thing I said, gaslighted everything, and even made things up to my face during a scheduled telehealth session. I was simply seeking consultation on substituting a medication for another. The name callling, horrible accusations this psychiatrist said to me during the session traumatized me completely to the point of me crying after the session. She also abruptly and purposely hung up on the telehealth session 40 minutes early. She didn't ask me for a history of my medical background, she was only focused on belittling and shaming me to the point of trying to make me feel worthless. This was extremely abusive. She called me a liar about my medical conditions, without evidence even though I told her I would provide medical documentation of my medical conditions and proof of labs. This psychiatrist yelled, raised her voice, her facial body language was extremely mean, intimidating as if I'm a trouble maker when I actually am a kind person. I've never been treated so harshly by a psychiatrist like this in my life and the session exacerbated my symptoms of PTSD and Anxiety. This was complete Mal-Practice and harmful to my mental health. The lack of listening , understanding, and meeting me where I was at is completely incompetent, and the name calling, arguing and yelling without letting me talk, and verbally abusing me is Mal-Practice. These session left me to feel worthless, and she attempted to verbally humiliate and verbally abuse me through out the entire session. Litteraly from the begging. Her first word was " What do you want?" With a angry and non-sympathetic facial expression the entire session. I have medical and mental co dictions , proven by diagnosis that are severe, Dr Tamara Chambless completely verbally abused and attacked me verbally. She slandered and defamed me verbally.I was open to suggestions but she continued to lie and make things up off the top of her head, even saying things in the session that I didn't say. She gaslit and insulted me to try and make me feel humiliated as if I'm guilty of something. This psychiatrist has caused me mental harm with verbal abuse that is clearly unprofessional. I barely had a chance to say a few sentences. She was clearly in a angry mood and took everything out on me that day. This type of harm now has broken my trust for medical psychiatrists as this behavior from a psychiatrist, especially instigating a argument and yelling and verbally insulting me is Mal-Practice Practice. I'm hurt by this woman. She has no knowledge of my medical background and only saw me for maybe 15 minutes before she straight hung up. There wasn't a single smile on her face from the beggining to the end of the session. As if she was prepared to insult me and pre-meditated or rehearsed to humiliate me and make me feel traumatized. She also verbally threatened to violate HIPPA by telling me she's going to call all my doctors which requires a ROI from me to do so, that she doesn't have. Again, I always openly share any records wit psychiatrists because I feel it is important. Everything in her "psychology today page" is a lie. She caused me harm, panic, and sobbing after the session. She hung up on me and was so mean that words can hardly explain her attitude, her misleading "assumptions" without evidence. I've only been diagnosed in my first session, and for my second, have discussed how my medication was going. NEW INFO on this disgraceful psychiatric practice: Turns out the threatening letter I received over an honest Yelp review from Savant Care's "lawyer" was a fake. The attorney (a genuine licensed attorney) never wrote that letter and knew nothing about me. Someone forged his signature and then fraudulently impersonated him in subsequent communications with an attorney I hired. I have written proof from the real attorney to substantiate this and have provided it to Yelp. In court the judge and I knew nothing about this fraud, while Dr. Parikh, Dr. Savant, and Vikas Kedia, who were all there to defend their practice's despicable conduct, hid it. The recent article in the Los Altos Town Crier ("Local psychiatrist claims bogus city award on employer website" 04/03/19) about fake awards being posted for Dr. Parikh (who is the doctor I saw), once again illustrates the unethical behavior of Savant Care. Is it hard to believe that a business that bullies over Yelp reviews and impersonates a lawyer would post fake awards or fake anything else? They now claim that they were victims of a scam. Yeah, right. The only ones scammed are people like me who were tricked into going there by these bogus awards. Don't fall for their victim routine; these guys are as slimy as they come. They never own up to their bad behavior, but like all sleazes and bullies, they make excuses, obfuscate issues, and try to threaten their way out of trouble. After being a patient for a number of years, my experience has gone tremendously downhill over time. I had a therapist and psychiatrist whom I started out with and absolutely loved them. When they both left Savant Care within a few weeks of each other, I should have seen the signs and followed them to their new practice instead. Some things that were really disappointing and made my experience afterwards quite upsetting: 1. New therapist on our first visit chastised me for not using the biometrics screening machine at the front of office before our visit. I had never used this machine before, never even knew what it was for. When I had mentioned this to the practitioner, they admonished me and basically passive aggressively accused me of lying because I clearly had biometric stats in my file's history (I gave them to my prior psychiatrist orally as I had just come from a doctor's appointment the day before). This made me feel uneasy and I never could quite connect or trust this practitioner throughout our time together. 2. The patient is responsible for contacting the practitioner for medication refills. I was never told this, and my previous psychiatrist at Savant Care automatically did it for me without fail. I was with a fresh newborn and feeling the weight of post-partum depression crashing down on me when I noticed my medication was never delivered. I called my pharmacy and was told I had no refills left. They contacted Savant Care on my behalf, only to be told the patient had to talk to the practitioner directly. I then call Savant Care, but was told my practitioner was on vacation and wouldn't be back for 3-4 business days, but they'll review upon returning and get in touch within a week. They ended the call with another admonishment that I should have known to call ahead before my refills were up to ask for a refill. I was in complete panic. I ended up getting my prescriptions refilled by my OB physician unrelated to Savant Care because it was the only way I could keep myself and my baby safe. 3. So okay, now I know after that horrendous experience that I need to tell my practitioner that I need to have my medication refilled. So at the end of each appointment, I'd remind them to please refill my medication. More than once, my medication did not arrive, only again to be told that I didn't have any refills left. I have emailed Savant Care more times than I'd like to admit asking for refills. At least I have an extra emergency stash of my medication from my OB in case Savant Care takes too long to refill again. Today I received an email saying that Savant Care has been struggling to partner with Anthem BlueCross and will no longer be able to take me as a patient (say goodbye to most of their clients in tech I suppose). They said I'd receive a call soon to point me in the direction of other practices nearby. And you know what I felt after reading that email? Relief. I still can't believe I never bothered to switch practices, I guess I just saw it as a quick meeting every few months and get my meds, but had given up on therapy itself thinking it was useless and I'd never connect or find a good fit with anyone. But now that they're booting me out, I can kick my heels huzzah as I go looking for my favorite therapist at her new practice. About time. Oh and the kicker? I'm a handful of days from delivering my next baby and I am now having to find a new psychiatrist who will prescribe my medication in time for any postpartum blues. Huzzah. read more

When it comes to my personal health I'm always hesitant to get a second opinion. It took a lot for me to book my initial consult with Dr. Sorensen and I only wished that I had done it sooner. Dr. Sorensen is a great listener, patient and takes his time. I never felt rushed during my session nor did I feel like I was being judged. Beware of this practice! FRAUD ALERT! Three years ago, a family member went to check out this office. But after having the initial two appointments cancelled, he went somewhere else. The cancellations were a problem. But the biggest problem was fraud. Although he never used their services nor saw any of their doctors, Savant Care charged our account intermittently, in various amounts, for nearly three years. The total amount they charged us exceeded $3,000. Savant Care ignored our first complaints. A week later, an email response said they would check into the problem. Another week later, nothing. Our credit card company stepped in and gave us a full refund--and to our knowledge, Savant Care did not respond to them, either. We are now in the process of reporting Savant Care to the Better Business Bureau, to medical oversight groups, and to any medical practices who may be recommending them. People seeking medical help would be better serviced going to an honest group. read more

I have seen Dr. Sorensen for more than a year if I remember correctly. He has been very helpful when it comes to ADHD management. He has been very informative when it comes to explaining the medications. He has been very open to experimenting with different combinations and dosages of medications. To me, a psychiatrist who is willing to do all of the above is good enough. Shout out to Adrian and BG, Dr. Sorensen's assistants. They have been very responsive, efficient and helpful to me. Post a request online and they will be responding on the same day, if not the second day. Call them and he will be always patient and delightful. If you miss their calls (which I often do, let us just blame ADHD), they surely will leave you a voice message as well as an Email to clearly convey their message. Can't ask for anything more than that. Austin, also Dr. Sorensen's assistant, has been helping me recently as well. I needed medication dosage adjustment in between appointments and it required a lot of communication. Plus I just moved and changed pharmacy. Savant Care is extremely unprofessional, unorganized, and a huge headache to work with. I originally tried to book an appointment with a psychiatrist online, only to receive an email that it was cancelled a few days later without reason. This happened twice in a row. Both times over the next few days I received multiple phone calls and texts from a receptionist there saying that I needed to fill out some personal information on their website before they can book me another appointment. I went to the website and could not find anything to fill out or sign, and it was extremely confusing and difficult to navigate. I decided to try other places at this time, but I still proceeded to get calls and texts from them for weeks afterwards, harassing me to fill out the information online (I ended up blocking the number). Fast forward a few months later when I decided to try them again, since I couldn't find another psychiatrist to see me sooner and needed to be seen asap at this time. I made the appt and gave the information that they needed over the phone, and the receptionist said I just have to go online and sign the forms there and then I'm all set. Once again I couldn't find any forms to sign on their website, but I still went to my appointment. When I got there the psychiatrist that I was seeing was located in a random room in an old building with no receptionist or anyone else there to check me in or make sure I signed the forms or anything! The psychiatrist had printed out a piece of paper with his name on it and taped it to the door of the room he was using. He was nice and seemed to maybe know what he was talking about, but he kept repeating the same questions and was hard of hearing. Needless to say, it was a very strange and sketch experience and I decided not to return to see him again. After leaving I wanted to get a second opinion, so I made an another appointment with a different psychiatrist for the following day through Savant Care. The appointment was confirmed at 9:30pm the night before, and then I received a phone call the next morning at 10am saying that there was a glitch in their computer system and there actually isn't an 11:30am appointment time slot, but the psychiatrist can see me at 12pm instead. Fine. As I am getting ready to leave for my appointment, I get a voicemail from them again saying that this psychiatrist is unable to see me at all since I already saw another psychiatrist through Savant Care the day before, and they are cancelling my appointment!! I obviously didn't go and decided I am just DONE with them. I then received an email a few hours later stating that I missed my scheduled appointment without 3 days notice and to call back to reschedule. UNREAL. To Alex: 1. What you just wrote there is illegal. You cannot state anything about my personal information (my insurance) that is a HIPPA Violation. 2. You should really think about getting another job instead of trolling people's yelp reviews. This is what yelp is all about REVIEWING a place you have attended. I have been in and out of psychiatric care for almost five years. It was a level of care that became urgent in my later teen years; upon finally acknowledging that the mental and emotionally instability that I was enduring was not at all akin to the typical developmental process that most adolescents experience, and in fact, was explicitly abnormal. My very first psychiatrist was fantastic and had ultimately set the standard for what I look for with my specialists, but eventually after being released from child and adolescent psychiatric care, I had to endure several terrible experiences with condescending and arrogant psychiatrists -- all of which have displayed confidence in providing improper care and felt that directing callous and snide remarks to me were indeed the best treatment option! My eyes scanned the entire room, noting the distinct differences in their unique style: there were iPads embedded in all the doors of the psychiatrists, and another iPad located on a table across the room that allows patients to check themselves in. I was amused and appreciated their integration of technology with the medical field, I eventually found myself confronted by the sounds of tranquility... the sounds of calm and of peace. I scanned the room once more to find out where it was coming from and in the corner of the room is a device producing what I believe were sounds of ocean waves -- an effective detail to add to a waiting area. Dr. Sonia Parikh -- THE G.O.A.T. (greatest of all time) -- greeted me into her office rather quickly. The differences in their choice of decor was distinct, and was again effective in establishing a sufficient level of comfort: her office was well-lit with sunlight, very minimalistic, and she was not seated behind a large desk like the psychiatrists I've had in the past. Perhaps it's even the absence of the conventional white lab coat that most medical professionals are expected to be draped in; Dr. Parikh was dressed in a casual, yet stylish and respectable manner -- which further demonstrated the degree of comfort that Savant Care is trying to achieve. Even at my first appointment, it felt as if I had already been a patient there, but I also didn't even feel like a patient at all, rather I was just an individual coming in to have a casual and informative conversation. Dr. Parikh is highly knowledgeable, charismatic, well-trained, and her ability to correspond her expertise with the peculiarities of my diagnosis is unparalleled with my past experiences. She is attentive to my own analysis of my disorder and the research that I do on my own time and parallels that with her own jurisdiction. SavantCare has helped me so much! Dr. Sorensen is a kind and supportive doctor who has helped me realize I had many changes I needed to make to be a happy and healthier person. I have lost 30 pounds and quit drinking with their help. His assistant BG is so compassionate to my urgent needs and every time I have asked him for his urgent help, he jumps right on it, he calls or emails the doctor right away. He follows up with calls and emails to make sure my needs were met. Without his help I wouldn't have been able to realize my emotions and how to treat great people. SavantCare helped me realize I needed to be a better person and BG in particular has helped me calm myself and without knowing it he helped me realize I was an angry person. Dr Emaya Anbalagan has helped me greatly in improving my depression over the last 6-9 months. It's hard to find a psychiatrist who you feel comfortable with & Dr Anbalagan immediately set me at ease & made it easy for me to open up to. I have depression/anxiety with chronic pain/fatigue (& multiple health disorders). She was the first psychiatrist I found & automatically liked after about 5 other tries. She was immediately accepting & willing to listen to everything about how I was feeling. We set goals for me - no matter how small, & we paid close attention to what was currently causing my emotions especially when they flared up. She help prescribe better medications for me that have improved my depression. & I feel much better overall. I'm still working on my depression & anxiety, but seeing Dr Anbalagan is really helping. The only slightly negative thing I would have to say about the office is that I've had to follow up with them directly regarding refills several times. They sometimes don't respond to my pharmacy & I have to contact them regarding it. It just slows down the refill process & adds a bit of a hassle for me. read more

Provides excellent input without being judgmental or preachy. Also very highly knowledgeable about psychopharmacology, particularly as it pertains to those with medical co-morbidities. I was a patient with Dr. Christopher Sorensen for nearly 5 years. He's always been a great doctor, very understanding and compassionate, gives good advice. Also good about managing medications and answering questions about side effects. His admin BG (Bijoesh) is very attentive and takes care of all your appointments and business matters. I found out yesterday Dr. Sorensen is leaving the practice and I am being transferred to a new doctor but I think it will all go well. I have been completely satisfied with Savant Care. read more

Absolute worst mental health experience ever. Clinic is actually a start up company. Dr. Assistants are out sourced overseas. No direct contact with Dr available. Nightmare communication. Impersonal. I have been seeing Dr. Marta Keeling for over a year and I have never had a negative experience. She is patient, supportive, and knowledgeable. The service is efficient and professional. Richard, the doctor assistant, has helped me greatly. As a college student, I am not always able to meet or be in contact but they are extremely flexible which makes my life easier.
