Our property is long and narrow, without truck access to most of the lot, and need to have climbers do the work. The crews are fast, efficient, and work with surgical precision. They've removed huge old Norway maples without damaging the plantings below. Not a single broken hydrangea or trampled fern. They've seen our yard grow and evolve, and they're our go-to team for tree work. They're responsive, work with us to get the most out of our booking, and follow our directions flawlessly. read more

Horrible horrible horrible service! Especially due to arborist Christopher Evans- he came out to my house seemed friendly and knowledgeable so I signed up for their shrub and tree package (over $1000). Several months later, my shrubs and trees still look diseased, there is absolutely no difference and Christoper is nowhere to be found! I've emailed, txted, called and no response. I've called save a tree several times but also no resolution. This is an absolute scam of a company. Do not recommend!!!!! If I ever get a response or appropriate care for my yard I'll update the review. So far, it's been almost TWO MONTHS of trying to get this resolved and nothing yet. read more

Very disappointed in save a tree. They were OK in the past and now they're really bad because they hired people who don't know what they're doing. My trees all of them sucked this year. They act like they know how to prune fruit trees when in reality they don't! very disappointed. My fruits were small and still had disease. read more

BEWARE the "continuing service" clause. The salesman never mentioned that the scale-insect treatments to which I agreed would extend in perpetuity. He said THREE treatments for the shrubs; the contract said THREE treatments for the shrubs; and the screen I signed was enlarged to a degree that the clause was not apparent. But guess what? They showed up again today, and I now realize my error. BEWARE also the poor quality. The original job I had requested -- thinning of tree limbs from a tree overhanging my house -- was a disappointment. Some dead limbs were left, with the workers instead over-trimming the crepe myrtles out front. So buyer beware. As for the shrubs, two of them died anyway. read more

Let me start off by saying I typically only like to give good yelp reviews but this was a serious matter that the public should be aware of before even considering using their services! Would not recommend!!! My family used this company and all I can say is how unsafe they are if you have kids or pets! Not only did our family dog get sick but my father got sick from the apple tree that they sprayed. They came out twice and we told them that we eat the apples from the trees but the dog likes to eat them when they fall off. When we asked what they use and if they are safe they would not give us an answer. Not only are we paying vet bills for the dog getting extremely sick (vomiting and seizures) but a family member also ended up having to be rushed to the ER for seizures. I'm glad we had moved our family reunion or my nieces and nephews could have ended up in the same if not worse situation. My family have been eating these apples for over 45 years without any issues now we no longer can enjoy an experience that has been passed down throughout generations all thanks to this company. We are NEVER going to use them again, and truly regretting not looking into their reviews before contacting them. Don't even try to call them because they won't give you answers only some BS that puts the blame on us. Thank you for ruining family traditions, but even more so the health of my loved ones. read more

Booked an appointment with an arborist for a sick/ dying hedge. A day later I received an email stating they would have to cancel as there was a family emergency. Was told someone could come out the following week. I was not able to wait another week. My hedge is a living thing... would you wait to treat your dying pet or relative?... I viewed the email as being inappropriate as a phone call would have been professional and I would have received it much better than a bland email. I expressed my disappointment that there was no one who could come out and I received no response. William Henry was whom the email was from... basically they didn't care and I phoned two other arborist in the area that were happy to send someone out. I would not recommend. read more

I use Michael Pantano at the Norwalk office of SavATree and he has been spectacular. He is incredibly knowledgeable but also really approachable and attentive. He does not try to upsell me. In fact, he often tells me I can wait to address some issues or take a wait-and-see approach. He comes on time and follows up. The service has saved many of my trees and shrubs. read more

SavATree was contracted to come do a deep root fertilization of all of our trees and shrubs on our property - they were supposed to come in the spring time but never came. We emailed and they said they would be out right away (this was still in May). Nobody ever came - until July 2nd, when most of our trees (evergreens) are not growing ... wish I could say that was the issue - the worker sat in his truck in our driveway for about 15 minutes when he then brought a bill saying he did service to the front door and left. This guy must not be very observant because our house has ten cameras on the outside and our fence gates are locked from the outside so they would have had to be let through the double gate. Watch out - company will rob you. read more

Arborist gave us an estimate for 3k which we accepted. After doing the walk around post work I noticed one tree limb with light shining through it. I called the arborist and asked him to come back to my property to look. When he arrived he said it was not a big deal (not that we hadn't paid for it or it wasn't included in estimate).... fast forward 3 months and we need another round of service....A different arborist from Sav a Tree comes out and gives us an estimate including removing the above-mentioned limb. I immediately take exception and ask her nicely to remove or discount the price and to speak to the previous arborist (believe the founder) about this. With no further follow up I receive my estimate for another $3k with no communicative effort of: 1) Trying to rectify the fact that two arborists at the same company told me different things 2) I had voiced my annoyance at specifically calling the arborist back and being told the limb didn't need to be removed... only to be charged later for the service I had already paid for I sent one last follow up email declining the second estimate and explaining my displeasure for the lack of acknowledgement of this issue. They replied back with a simple "Thanks" It's clear they just don't care. read more
