The aisles may look a little different today, but walking through the store still brings back memories of simpler times. Every trip back to WNY includes a stop at Tops. It's not just about nostalgia--it's about reconnecting with a place that's been part of the community for generations. While my shopping habits have changed over the years, there are still products on the shelves that instantly take me back to my childhood. The store is clean, well-stocked, and continues to be a dependable place to shop. More importantly, it's a reminder of what made growing up in Western New York so special. I just needed to pick up a few things, and this is super close to my new house. It's convenient and I'm glad it's nearby. BUT... I wouldn't do a large shopping trip here because it's small, has limited items, and bigger stores with more options aren't too much further away. On another note, I felt uncomfortable being a visibly queer person shopping at this store. I got a lot of stares (maybe laughs as well) and it made my hackles raise. I don't often feel uncomfortable in most stores, though I'm often called "sir" or another masculine label. I am a female. Despite being labeled inaccurately, I generally feel safe. I felt like a total fish out of water here. So, I'd only return with company, not alone.
