Sure they helped someone who asked about their restroom, but I don't know that they ever greeted anyone who came in. I'm very sensitive to this when I'm shopping, because a warm greeting can mean a lot to unfamiliar tourists. I also felt like the clothes, to me, were on the expensive side. The price of $25 felt right for some shirts/blouses, but not for others, but it was a default price nonetheless. Replica band/concert tees were priced equally high, and some of them were beat up while not being vintage. Other items, I just felt like I could find at the thrift and get a better deal. I thrift a lot from many, many different venues, so I know this for sure. While I understand the beauty of a vintage store is that someone else did the shopping for you, the markup felt like a lot at times. Most of the stores I go to in Philly have a variance of price points. Besides that, it was a cool store. It was like walking into the past, which was fun.

I was followed closely around the store and repeatedly told not to touch items, which made it impossible to browse or shop normally. At one point the owner was standing right next to me and speaking in a way that felt more like being scolded than helped. They won't let you look around the shop without following you around and asking you not to touch anything. Oh also they have a million perfume testers which they get mad if you smell them. Literally you cannot smell open samples of perfumes or they scream at you not to touch them. The overall attitude was very hostile and unwelcoming, which was surprising in a neighborhood where most small business owners are warm and appreciative of customers. I left feeling really disappointed because I had intended to give them my business. After mentioning the experience to a few other locals, I learned that others had similar interactions there. I hope the owners reconsider how they treat customers because the environment felt unnecessarily negative and uncomfortable. Ps. Same lady in all the other review pictures ! I was derelict in my Yelping of this institution for far too long. I was here seeking out Amish cottage cheese which I haven't been able to get at the Trenton farmers market for many years. I knew it would be located in the Amish wing but I needed to walk the rest of the building too. I entered that section to find crowds of people everywhere. To view the prepared hot foods would have required standing in a long line just to eventually get close enough to peek at the cases. I found the cottage cheese prepackaged and decided to walk around the rest of the place before returning to make a few purchases. There were so many temptations in the Amish part, pretzels, prepared salad items, donuts, baked goods in general and of course the meats. The rest of Columbus has treasures to be found as well, depending on your outlook. Discount over the counter drugs, health and beauty,craft soda and pickles, clothes of all kinds, shoes, housewares. I could probably go on. Really something for everyone. My stroll took me past a chicken shop that once I caught the smell of its fried goods, I knew I'd be trying on my way back. At the far end where other food stalls are I saw a taqueria that I plan on trying next trip. With a bag full of fried goodness I was no longer concerned about the Amish foods. I grabbed the cottage cheese and walked out with just a bit of regret that I didn't snag a donut or a dozen. I popped into the produce building just to see what was there. Nice looking veggies but most were sold in bulk. Towards the end of this building is a seafood market that I've heard good things about. Now I have more reasons to return. 4.5 stars !

His daughter Mira now runs the enterprise and remains actively engaged in its operation. Born in Washington State in 1905, George received a worldwide education including stops in Paris, Spokane, Cambridge, MA, New York, North Africa, Japan and India. He was instrumental in developing the International Style architecture in the 1920s and 30s. He painted the murals on the New York Capitol Building and designed/constructed the ashram of Sri Aurobindo in Pondicherry, India. His exploration of Japanese culture and design philosophy led him to furniture design and craftsmanship which would become the focus of his life's work. During World War II he was forced to live in a relocation camp in Idaho until released by petition to the government by the Dean of MIT and a previous employer, Antonin Raymond. This brought him to Bucks County in 1943 to live on Raymond's farm with his family. Three years later he purchased 3 acres of land nearby to build his homestead and workshop. As his family grew (son Kevin), he purchased more land and expanded the complex through the 1970s to the present 12 acres. He infused aspects of traditional Japanese architecture with the simpler International Style, that was heavily influenced at that time by utopian Frank Lloyd Wright. The buildings are smoothly integrated with the natural elements of the land - hills and vales; streams and flora. A visit to this national treasure brings you into intimate contact with his work and ideas. A walk around leaves you feeling like George is at your side. I was on a tour visiting PA, NJ, NYC with my wife and we went to this beautiful town New Hope in PA. And we visited this store Savioni, there was a nice gentleman who tried to help us but then he had to leave, this young woman with her snobby attitude took over! We were dressed down as it was a walking tour, she looked up and down to me and my wife and simply left us to be (as if we were not up to her standards to be in her store)! My wife tried to ask a question, she didn't even get up from her computer, she didn't look at her when she answered her very shortly! Leave alone, they are extremely over-priced! They sell the same stuff that we can find online at HALF price people - HALF price... The lady's lines are nothing special you couldn't find anywhere else, Mens shirts can be found on http://www.modusman.com/ HALF price, the shoes are so overpriced that they make you think that customers have to be fools to shop at this place. I thought I should just let others know.. If you are underdressed don't expect a hello from this woman when you go there... When the older ladies asked if they could help me find something, I mentioned it was my first time stopping in and we'd just had lunch across the street, so I'm just browsing. The dark haired lady asked what we had and if we liked it. I said we'd been going weekly for the last 4-5 weeks and everything has been excellent. The lighter haired lady interjected (I didn't get to tell the other lady what we ate), saying she'd been there when they first opened (a year or so ago?). I asked if she liked it and she got quite agitated and said "NO!" I asked "Why? What did you have?" She went off on a tirade about how she "asked for a steak sandwich and it didn't come with sauce!" I asked "Sauce?" She continued "yes! I've NEVER seen a steak sandwich without SAUCE! I asked 'what am I supposed to put on it, then?!' And they told me ketchup! I wanted SAUCE! They told me they didn't have that!" She kept repeating that she'd never seen a steak sandwich without sauce. I told her "Well, they're not a pizza shop, so if they don't make things with sauce, they wouldn't have it and, also, that would be called a pizza steak -- a regular steak sandwich does not come with sauce." I made sure to repeat that we'd gone there every week lately and everything we've had has been excellent. She then claimed they charged her $2.50 for water and didn't believe me that I got ice water served in a large cup for free. Hoo boy! This lady is a piece of work. BTW, I don't know what the menu looked like when the place first opened but, in case she's reading this, they DO have a pizza steak on the menu now. I should have told her that, by HER logic, people should leave her a bad review bc she doesn't sell, say... Levi's and they wanted Levi's! Such a ridiculous reason to tell people you didn't like a place! Just like saying you didn't like a restaurant bc you wanted something they do not serve! But yeah... I would give her ZERO STARS if that was an option. Because her store reeks terribly and her attitude leaves a lot to be desired! Prices are ridiculous, too. Oy.

She said hesitantly "well I guess I could try to air it out". Conclusion- post this and forget about it !!! My Dachshund now loves it - the smell of crap and smoke doesn't bother her.
