I can't count the times I've seen Wendell giving people a hand moving heavy loads around. My kids love the pool. Reasonable price for what you get - water and trash collection are included with your rent. Pros: Close to grocery stores, and just a few minutes from MLK and the mall for heavier duty shopping. Quiet, most of the time. Cons: The dumpsters are a bit of a walk. Comcast is the only provider that comes up for internet service.

The lease specifically states there are to be NO PETS, but there are several tenants with dogs that are seen walking them constantly. Not only that, but the parking is disorganized and often unavailable. Visitors are suppose to park in the rear of the property, but instead park in the middle of the lot which blocks tenants in their spot. When asked to move, they look at you like you are inconveniencing them, instead of them inconveniencing you. The noise levels around the property are deplorable as dozens of middle-school aged kids are running around screaming at the top of their lungs, throwing sand on each other, shooting Nerf guns, and using foul language like sailors. They recently spent a few months sandblasting and painting the entire apartment complex effectively creating the most noisy environment in the history of the city's living properties, and painted everyone's door while they were shut, which makes the place look ghetto, and then decided this was reason enough to charge almost $100 more for rent each month. This increase in rent is unjustified when the pluming is constantly backed up (hope you like standing in water to shower!), the A/C cannot cool the apartment lower than 70 degrees (causing your Entergy bill to rise), and the water pressure is so low that it seems the valve is only half open. The maintenance man will take days to respond to any repair requests, and when he does, he usually tells you there is nothing he can do about it because "his is like that too" as if somehow his apartment is the one that everyone else's has to be like. Hope you enjoy toilets that take almost 10 minutes to refill, and even then it may or may not flush. The property does have a swimming pool but visitors have to pay $10 to get a pass to use the pool and no food or drink is allowed near the water. The office is in direct view of the pool and the property manager stands in the window like a strict and overly-concerned mother ready to run out and treat anyone like a child who does not conform directly to her third-world concentration camp rules. The bracelets have to be worn at all times in the pool area, and anyone under the age of 16 has to wear floaters. Yes, SIXTEEN. I don't know about the rest of you, but I could easily swim when I was 8. Aside from that, if you are a female you won't want to go swimming anyway as the population of young boys will swarm the pool and you will feel extremely unsafe. In all actuality, you probably would be very legit unsafe. There is a property "police officer" but he is never around and takes a very long time to respond when called upon. There is a centralized wash-room where people will absolutely take your clothes out the dryer or washer and throw them on the floor because you were 5 minutes too long going switch out the clothes. There are remarkably less washers and dryers than there are apartments and often people will try to use five washing machines at once. And there is only 8. Asking these people to move, or engaging in any kind of conversation will be met with mean faces and they will completely ignore you. They will leave their baskets on top of the washing machines and dryers even if they are not in use as to mark which ones they are using and that you cannot touch. It is okay for them to throw someone's clothes on the floor according to management because the clothes were left unattended. I have walked into the wash room to see someone throwing my clothes on the ground when the dryer actually had 3 minutes left on it. Management didn't do anything about it. The middle-school district is Broodmoor Elementary which has one of the strictest dress codes you'll ever see in your life. The junior high/high school is Evergreen Junior High and H.L. Bourgeois respectively. The property is right across the street from a crappy gas station where vagrants are seen buying alcohol at all hours of the evening. The store is not 24 hours but does open at 6am and closes around 9pm or 10pm. If you have children, you will not want them to be beat on and bullied by the other kids that live here. Even if you have no kids, please, find another place to live.

Had water issues in both that she could not get fixed. Was finally evicted so they could repair the apartment. Was told she would have to find another place to live because they had no availability in the complex. Months after moving out got a call from a collection agency stating I owed $4000 for repairs. After settling on that, just got a call from another collection agency stating that we owed money for repairs on the first apartment she was forced to vacate, 3 years ago, due to water and mold. This place preys on its residents. They don't bill you directly but send it straight to a collection agency for the fear factor. Live in a tent if you have to, but do not live here.

When I asked to see my apartment, they rushed me through signing the paperwork before letting me see it since they said it wasn't ready yet. Please be mindful of the misleading advertisement while I upload photographs. I'm heading to the business bureau tomorrow because they want to charge me $2,000 to leave or make me stay for two months without my consent. I'm going to post this review anywhere I see their name because I don't want this to happen to anyone else.
