But it's up to the person in business to see the mistake, learn, move on, and do better next time. If you are as good as who said to be and and are confident in simply who you are in the business. This review should make no different but just rather another opinion. but here we goes again. It is true. Business owners have the right to decline business. But .... There was multiple conversations about where the venue. Mostly was to be sure that she was ok with how far the venue is. That was already being put up front. Even on the initial phone conversation. The venue was never being unknown. So have she know? She should have already know rather. If she missed the first time. Then she should have ask before being ok with giving a tasting. Then saying she can't do it because she cannot accommodate due the size of the parties & location of the venue. I don't complain about the foods or the amount of food. We even give extra money as top seeing her work and driving out late. But ok. So Guess what I have a right to speak about my experience. Overall, nope. I called Chef Lucy to discuss catering a wedding with only two months notice. My experience with her has been excellent! She has been so helpful in making suggestions that have helped guide us toward accomplishing our vision, while helping to keep us within our budget. She has provided us with wonderful cost cutting suggestions which I greatly appreciate. Chef Lucy has responded very quickly to every email and text. It is a tremendous help in planning when someone responds to you quickly. She has gone out of her way and provided a great deal of her time to help us and to guide us. I personally know some of the people who call upon Chef Lucy for their catering needs. This is most impressive as I know these are people who require the highest level of food excellence and service and will settle for nothing less. Chef Lucy has been extremely professional yet friendly and warm at the same time. She has a very giving and caring spirit. I can tell by our conversations that she definitely knows her business! I am a small business owner myself. I fully understand the challenges that every small business owner faces in this ever-changing economy. It is not easy! The staff were quite responsive, and I was trying to set up a special night with my partner for our anniversary. I had heard from a few friends setting up a dinner with a private chef could be a pretty special experience, albeit pricey. The Yelp reviews and Google reviews, alongside Keifs Catering's incredibly vegan and vegetarian friendly menu options, had me enthusiastic. Along the way, I asked for input on menu options, as well as asked about the number of options I was setting for the menu; my partner and I have small stomachs, and I was worried about too many leftovers. I was reassured that any leftovers could be eaten over the following few days. As my partner is the foodie, I was making these decisions myself and I trusted the staff I was consulting with. The coordination was seamless, as was the online payment system. The staff arrived on time (2 individuals). The table was set partially by staff (partially by me to ensure it was truly special ambiance) and looked quite nice. The staff were incredibly friendly throughout the night. I had assumed the items were all assembled from scratch, but was surprised that when I asked about the vegan taco appetizer ingredients, another staff member had to be contacted to find out their composition. From the taco appetizer (3.5/5), I was immediately certain I had ordered too much food. We warned the staff and asked they pack away food as we knew it was going to be too much. Unfortunately, the spare taco shells were presumably thrown away instead of preserved and the vegan taco crumble we had to eat on its own over the following few days. The garlic fries were delicious (5/5), and for some reason, in a similar manner, the leftover vegan chipotle was thrown away instead of preserved and packed for later consumption. The watermelon mint salad could have tasted more fresh and crisp, but was fairly good (3/5). The entrees were amazing, though unfortunately due to the immense amount of food ordered, was only partially enjoyable. The tofu satay skewers I could have eaten for days (and I did, 5/5), and the vibrant coconut green curry was quite tasty and worked well with the skewers (4/5). The gorgonzola mac and cheese could have been its own appetizer and was quite tasty (4.5/5) but again, I wish I had received better advice from the staff when I set the menu. I have a bit of a sweet tooth l, so was particularly excited about the desserts, though both of these (creme brulee was a little soft, and I'd have loved more crumble in the cobbler) left a little bit to be desired (3/5). This was a really special first experience with a service like this, and I am so glad we tried it out, though I wish I had received a little bit better guidance from staff throughout, and wished the items had all been packed for leftover eating as expected. The price point for all of this was fair, but for these issues that would generally be minor, I really would expect no issues whatsoever for the price point. I think this would be an amazing option for catering for a larger group!

Unfortunately, I haven't been able to see her in action, first-hand...until now and WOW! Our school was having a food truck themed summer camp, which is a very popular camp that sells out every year. The kids create their own food trucks, starting with learning the behind the scenes of starting a food truck, such as logo design, menu design, a shopping list and then they build their own truck and cook some samplers from their menus. We have real food trucks come out for the kids to see, but this year was even better because Chef Shelby came into our culinary kitchen and gave our students and teachers an experience that they will never forget. From the start, she was very communicative and full of ideas on how she could create this experience for the kids. We provided the space and she and her team took it from there and made the rest of the magic happen. She gave a lesson to the kids about kitchen safety and how to create a menu to kick off Food Truck Camp. Then, she came back later in the week and made flat bread pizzas from scratch by modeling each step and assisting the kids as they made their own. She and her team were punctual, organized and very professional! The teachers and kids had a blast!
