Went here for a work lunch and between 15 of us we got the mixed assortment starter (serving each of satay chicken, chicken in banana leaf, dim sum and pork roll). None of the entree food was particularly memorable, in fact the chicken in banana leaf was particularly tough, but everything else was well cooked and accompanied by trio of sauces - soy, chilli and peanut.
For our mains, we got chili squid (very good), sweet and sour chicken (bleh), green curry chicken (decent), chicken noodles, (decent), and a beef dish that I didn't try. So while I would go back again, I would suggest the Thai flavours are fairly mainstream and what you would expect at any Thai. In my opinion, Blue Elephant still reigns as the best Thai in Belgium with more exciting dishes and bolder flavours.
Oh one more thing I really didn't like. The servers put rice on our plate the first round but then took the rice bowl away. So at a certain stage, quite a few of us wanted rice and we had to wait until could flag down the server. I am not sure why they didn't leave the rice bowl behind because there was space on the table. Other than that, if u are looking for decent Thai at fairly good prices, Swadee is a good bet. read more
