Sending my questions by email was like sending them down a black hole. I only got a response after weeks and repeated emails with my questions. These reluctant responses caused me much frustration and wasted much of my time trying to understand the numbers in the filing. I frankly still have several open questions that I did not pursue because communication with the CPA is like having your teeth pulled. Upon my questioning, a supporting spreadsheet was finally restated. I find this corrected spreadsheet cryptic and elusive, specifically with an added item labeled "unidentified". No further explanation was provided. I highly recommend Melanson ... for your next vacation in space. You'll not be disappointed with the black holes that consume your communications and unidentified objects that litter the documents. For a tax filing, I prefer someone more transparent, accessible and responsive.

Went to greenfield savings bank in greenfield today to deposit come cash. I know for sure I had 445…read moredollars to deposit and when the machine counted my money, the lady said there was only 400. I remember counting 69-$5 dollar bills and 5-&20 bills. I'm pretty sure some of the 5's were stuck together as I had not touched or taken any money to use before my deposit. So the teller hits the end button so the money is not put into the machine and they couldn't get it back to me and she says, I counted 400 and your slip says 445. I said ok can I get my money back to recount and she couldn't because she already hit the enter/end button. Why would you do that if you knew the slip wasn't matching. I guarantee you that at the end of the night when she goes to make her count, she will be over by 45 dollars. I had to swallow that and walk out of the branch. First and last time I'll be going there.

For a few years the new manager would constantly try to assign me or my wife to other preparers, my wife falling for it the last two years. On top of this they send "please confirm" text, emails and calls for weeks outside the date, some happening daily. It was harassing. I stopped responding to them and I ended up getting a call from the manager and I told her that I had confirmed a few times but they kept coming and I finally contacted my tax preparer directly who said yes its all set, no worries, (fearing I was going to be scheduled with someone else). The manager said ok, yeah sorry, you are all set with your guy on Sunday. So I showed up, only to be told I was working with Chris, who doesn't know me or my situation, and my guy had left. No one thought that it was important to contact me after the guy who had been doing my taxes for 10 years was no longer working. This place sucks, expensive if you have complicated taxes. I never liked going there, only liked my guy.
