Instead of penalizing my tax service, the IRS penalized me, even though I filed and paid my taxes every year. Originally, I considered hiring a Tax Resolution Service to represent me. But, after reading reviews for those companies, it appeared to me that many of their clients were simply trying to reduce their tax debt. In my case, I had done everything right, and I did not want to be labeled or looked at as someone who was just wanting to have their taxes reduced. I wanted the fines eliminated!!! At first, I tried to explain my situation on my own to the IRS. They denied my request the first time to eliminate my fines, as they said that even though I used a tax service to prepare my taxes, the results were still my responsibility. I had gotten fed up with our realtor, and was looking for a different solution to sell our home. Hal was FAR less expensive than a realtor (as in, remove a zero) with a flat fee no matter the complications (no hourly attorney fees!). So after 3 months of our house sitting on the market with a realtor, we fired the realtor, hired Hal, and were able to drop our home price by thousands to attract a buyer while still netting the same amount. The price drop worked, and we were under contract in 4 days. Hal knew how to draft a contract that protected our interests much better than a realtor would have, and looked out for issues from the buyer's side to also protect us. He was also very responsive - to the point that if I didn't get a response to an email within a couple hours, I knew he must be in court or some other impossible-to-respond situation. She gives off a very pompous attitude and from her website loves to brag about her accolades. The accolades mean nothing if you have a bad way of dealing with people who call in for service. I'm reporting my experience to the American Bar Association; she needs a reality check immediately. I know there must be laws under misconduct for how she deals with people. I'm glad FTC created a law in Aug that say you cannot remove reviews, or else the business will be charged $51,744 per violation.
