This whole Laurel trip started with the Home Town show so the Scent Library was a must visit. I really loved the vibes of the shop. It really makes you feel like you are stepping foot into a grand library. I loved the play on words and the interior matched it. There was so many different options of scents and types of scents. From car scents, wax melts, different size candles, and more. I thought that everything was priced decently. I bought about 6 car scents in the scent Laurel as souvenirs to bring back home and give to friends. I also purchased wax melts! There were signed copies of books to purchase and collegiate collaborations with scents. The check out process was swift and the employees were helpful. read more

Surprised that there's a 1 star review! We were greeted enthusiastically and kindly every time we went into any stores affiliated with Hometown. This was such a beautiful store, and I *love* candles. The memories Erin share attached to each scent make it really special. We flew in so we had to restrict what we bought, but plan on buying more online. Just a gorgeous store. It was fun to chat with the staff too, some of them were extremely engaging and friendly! I'd have loved to sit and have a coffee or snack, it would be so fun for them to develop a Library Cafe for Laurel next. read more

This place was pretty cool. The setup as a library was a good take. Really smelt good in there and had alot of good candles. The wife did get some good smelling candles for the trailer. The leather chairs are VERY comfortable and I was able to rest for awhile before we continued our adventure. read more

Great service. Friendly young staff. The candles have a beautiful smell, but I really think they should put more than one wick in the 11 ounce candle. The candles are also pricey for the low quality of burning. I left my candle to burn for two hours and the liquid wax still did not reach the edges, this is why I believe they should use two wicks for even burning. read more

Drove through Laurel and stopped by the scent library since seeing the episode on Home Town. We bought 6 candles. The wicks don't hold the flame. The scent only lasts a few burns and then nothing but the scent of wax. Was really disappointed with the results of all candles. read more

I LOVED THIS PLACE! I wish there was a place for me to sit and read my book. Create a memory there with the scent and leave with a candle. They had two beautiful displays with couches but they were "librarians only" which I took to mean "employees only". I could have asked but I just enjoyed smelling all the candles to find my favorite. They have adorable "library cards" to write the names of the scents that you enjoy as you walk around. read more

It was a neat concept; using the library cards to remember what scents we liked was fun. Their stock could have been a bit better. Two scents I really wanted they didn't have any other sprays in stock. With a store like that they need to do better with stock. But overall the people were welcoming and friendly, the idea was great and the smells were nice. read more

As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by friendly staff and wonderful scents! The library theme is great, and really elevates the displays of candles, sprays, and such. As a fan of Erin and Ben's Home Town show, this spot was a must see while staying overnight in Laurel. I had a bunch of scents I really enjoyed, but settled on a couple for my office back home. As soon as we walked into the store the two girls who were working went to the back and started taking. They never once acknowledged us at any point. Obviously we left without buying anything and I will never go back here again and will certainly never spend money. It seems like a really nice store with great product but unfortunately they don't seem to care about customers at all. Would give zero starts if possible. read more

Cute place but low on stock of most affordable items. Lots of nicely scented candles to choose from.
