I had one visit with him, he prescribed my medication…read more The second visit with him, I waited over an hour before his secretary finally said she "Doesn't know what's going on, but doesn't think he will be in." I then was charged for the appointment that the "Doctor" blew off with no explanation, no apology. I was then given his number and was asked to text him directly. I did so, and he never replied. I needed a refill of the medication I had just recently started, and wasn't able to get it because the "Doctor" didn't feel like talking to a paying patient. Not only was I charged for the appointment that the doctor never showed up to, but my insurance was charged too. I got a bill asking me to pay my portion of the appointment. I spent 2 months asking for the charge to be removed. Only when I threatened to provide the documentation to my insurance company that they were fraudulently billed as well, was the charge removed. They did so without ever contacting be back. He was a nice enough guy during the visit I had with him, but he clearly doesn't value the time of his patients and it's VERY shady to bill someone for an appointment the DOCTOR didn't show up to. Avoid at all costs. Seriously.

But that is exactly what Dr Steve Wodka did. Additionally, after seeing him for many years, he accidentally revealed that he didn't know basic (MAJOR) facts about my story. When I confronted him, he guilted and shamed me for not telling him sooner. As if all of that weren't enough, when I was experiencing suicidal ideation, he challenged me that, "well you've never actually tried it." It seemed like a dare. As the other reviewer said, he focuses on himself, his interests. He spends his days talking about hockey and basketball with his clients. I believe he enjoys feeling like he is better and smarter than his clients. He also enjoys feeling like the puppet master. He should not be practicing. Again, avoid this place at all costs.

Inside the suite is very clean, comfortable and inviting (though on occasion a bit cold). Attractive office. Attractive people, but money hungry…read more The most 8mportant reason to stay away is that their prescription services are wildly incompetent. At one point they informed me that my anxiety med had already been refilled. It had not. Six days later I had to drive to the hospital suffering from severe panic attacks. In literally one moment, they could see by the national data base that I'd been out of meds for six days, which is slightly dangerous. Brighter Life had the nerve to tell me they had checked the data base, which of course they had not. My pharmacy said their methods of sending refills was the most frustrating they'd ever seen. Good luck trying to talk to them in that kind of an emergency. Do not believe them about needing to see you every month to refill controlled meds. I've had two providers since, who suggested 90 day visits and sometimes. Less. Pure greed is why they require monthly. They lied to me several times. Once I showed up for my visit slightly early. Waited almost 40 minutes until the N.P. sauntered in with her lunch beverage. After closing her door, she called my cell for a ?telehealth? Call, inviting our appointment wasn't in person. I had the card in my hand. In person. They are so attractive and beautifully dressed, but will lie to your face. Just a very odd place.
