On several occasions, I have arrived at the golf course for my tee time and have to wait for a golf cart and nearly miss my tee time. When the GM schedules an outside, non member, tournament, it is the members that don't get a golf cart because they don't always have enough for both members and non members.

While the food is grouped correctly, hot vs. cold, the first line should be cold, the next line, hot. They do have an omelette station but you miss whatever is going on there after you go to line one which is hot breakfast line. I am a chef and banquet caterer and know that this set up is confusing. The dessert table seems like an after thought as it is located on the way to the exit out of the dining room. Perhaps lining up the food stations around the perimeter and bringing the dining tables to where the current food lines are would not lose dining table count...or creating a T station.... would be better. That being said, our waitress was not too on the ball and was unsure how to host a table. No pleasantries, no offer of coffee, no removal of dishes and about a half hour wait for payments to be processed and charge errors to be corrected. She needs to shadow another seasoned employee for a while. Because I know the business, I do allow for every kind of calamity and am not bothered, but like to give advice. My group, on the other hand, was very confused and disappointed. The food was good. The service needs cleaning up. The set up needs a redo for efficiency. I would recommend this place for brunch but be prepared for some compromise. It is a professional 6 out of 10. Once improvements are made, it can elevate to 9 out of 10.

The Venetian Golf and River Club hosted an English High Tea. The new chef and his staff did an…read moreexcellent job of preparing a delicious luncheon. A variety of teas were available. Each lady received a plate containing quiche and a toasted flat bread with sun dried tomatoes on top. Finger sandwiches included egg salad, cucumber with cream cheese and smoked salmon. Two types of scones were also available served with clotted cream and/or jelly. To top off a beautifully done meal, small serving towers of dessert, from white or dark chocolate covered strawberries to miniature pastries and petit fours. The club is private most of the time to our homeowners and guests, but is available for special private events. We've hosted ladies groups, wedding receptions and other events. I highly recommend the club for your special needs.

Whether you're eating in the River Club (or by the pool) or talking to one of the fitness trainers, you can tell everyone there loves their job and is happy to work there and help you out. The place and houses themselves are not only beautiful, but it's eco-friendly too. The entire club was build in conjunction with the Audubon Society and is a preservation, so there is a large walking trail through the woods and animals (cranes, alligators) living on the grounds! The amenities are spectacular as well: tennis courts, full gym, the walking trail, a full lap pool, regular pool (with water aerobics every morning), hot tub, poolside bar, golf course (you must be a member to play though, I think)... I could go on and on!! If you know someone who lives here, visit! If you're thinking of buying yourself, you won't be sorry!

I cringe when I arrive at the gate not knowing what type of morning your Security employees are having. No smile, no good morning, just a very loud yo if you aren't looking at them.
