Just to get out of the whole jet lag situation, we immediately came here and it was just buzzing. It was early spring in Bavaria, with a lot of people sitting outside and drinking coffee here. I know what you are thinking!! Early spring/? Bavaria? Shouldn't we be drinking some really nice Weihenstephan up on the mountain in the world's oldest brewery? I agree but drinking Beer after a 16 hour flight to combat jet lag would not be the proper if we wanted to stay awake and that is where Junker's comes in. Probably one of my top 5 or 6 coffee shops in the world but if you want to add a nibble to your coffee then I would rate this place among my top 3. For the first time ever, I had a Cafe Bombon which was awesome and completely took my jet lag away. Next day we went there again, this time for Breakfast and Coffee and the yogurt they gave was easily the best Yogurt I EVER tasted in my life. The only negative for me was they open at like 10AM or so and close by 5PM or so. I am giving this review anyway on Yelp although there are not that many reviews on Yelp in Europe. One interesting thing I found here was they serve coffee made from beans from India. While I personally prefer Ethiopia/Kenya beans, coffee made from Indian beans is not bad. While it doesn't have the same buttery nutty flavor you get from African beans, it also doesn't have the sour notes you get from South American beans and the coffee here is very good

Easily the best I've found in any European city (coming from an American latte culture perspective). Someone here clearly cares about getting the right roast, and isn't using the all too common burnt beans. Limited pastries, but all looked very good. Ambiance: Aside from the coffee, the ambiance is the other selling point. It's on the smaller side, but has comfortable seating for about 16-20 people. This would be a good place to work for a couple hours, but not for calls as the music is rather loud. Experience: Very friendly baristas, cool vibe, easy spot to get to. Highly recommend.

The quality of the coffee really stands out -- rich, balanced, and clearly crafted with care. The only thing missing is a proper seating area. It would be wonderful if the second floor could eventually be opened or arranged to provide a comfortable space to sit, enjoy the coffee, and relax. Right now, it's more of a grab‑and‑go experience. One charming detail: from the outside, you can't immediately tell it's a coffee shop. The minimalist, almost industrial look fits the "Man vs. Machine" name perfectly -- it's unique, but it might surprise first‑time visitors. Overall, great coffee, great location, and lots of potential if more seating becomes available.

They've grown and changed names along the way. Additionally, they've added roasting their own coffee to the mix. The baked goods are top notch and service is fantastic too! It's one of the things I miss about Munich (food, friends & the Bavarian culture are a few others). In any case, the good news is that their beans are now available to buy and taste nearly as great at home as they do when they make it for me. FYI - Their location only has standing tables (inside a tent for the winter) so just be forewarned. Enjoy!

The ambiance is warm, lively, and inviting, and the service is genuinely excellent, with staff who keep things moving smoothly even when the market gets busy. For Mr. C, though, the coffee wasn't anything special. It simply wasn't his style of caffè latte -- nothing wrong with it, just not the flavor profile he prefers. Still, the overall experience, from the atmosphere to the friendliness of the team, makes the café worth a visit for anyone exploring Viktualienmarkt. A beautiful spot, great vibes, and solid service -- even if the coffee didn't quite hit the mark for him.

We all decided to meet...and, I can affirm Sabine H knows her stuff. What a wonderful recommendation :) If you are familiar with Blue Bottle, Stumptown, etc in the States...Vits Kaffee will please your coffee-feigning palate just perfectly. If you aren't? Well, you're in for a treat, too! It's actually quite a large spot with many seating options, and very convenient to public transportation. Arriving around 2pm, our mellow group took over the back corner with couches. I think its meant for kids (some toys/games) but also really nice for a group of 7 or so to catch up and have some extremely lovely coffee. By 4pm all the tables were filled with weekend revelers....and the din elevated significantly. The sound was a bit loud, but very congenial and jovial. My two drinks: a cappuccino (swan milk foam art!) and a hot cocoa (this one came with a bear!). I actually preferred the hot cocoa, very rich and dark and such an indulgent treat. Some key points: *they roast in-house. It smells divine. *They have an extensive menu that describes all of the beans and procedures, and even information on how you can learn to make the milk foam designs! This may be motivation enough to learn German. So I can make milk foam like teddy bear faces. It really does make the experience better, it does! *table service or counter service is available. Our server was very helpful, and several stopped by to make sure our group had everything we needed. *cash or german bank cards only. For a large group with 2 drinks each, several desserts and great service...45euro. I thought it to be extremely economical given the location and quality of the coffee!
