This was SO helpful to us as my son cannot tolerate ANY gluten! The regular options are great too and they are open late (until midnight!). The pizza is DELICIOUS and has some great toppings. Keep in mind that "pepperoni" here is NOT pepperoni, though! We ended up with banana peppers on ours...order salami or 'hot sausage' if pepperoni is what you want. Many of the other options were good as well. We had 6 in our group and stayed in this hotel, so I think we tried everything on the menu! They patio has a great view of the mountain.

I saw lots of ppl carrying out and dining in. For dinner, my husband and I split a large margherita pizza and an insalata jolly (house salad, I think). The salad here is amazing and very large! It was huge, had delicious chunks of cheese and the balsamic dressing was spot on. And I'm not normally a fan of olives but the olives in the salad were full of pungent olive flavor, without being too salty. Salad was fantastic and I was digging it. Unfortunately, the pizza was not as good. The crust was perfect, slightly charred, thin and crunchy. What was bad was that the margherita pizza had way too much tomato sauce (which was too salty) and the fresh mozzarella cheese was wet. It was clearly put on the pizza after it was already finished in the oven. In fact the mozzarella cheese was so wet that it even slid off our slices of pizza. Also word to the wise, the large pizza is really large for two people esp after the big salad. No worries, we took it home and ate leftovers for breakfast the next day =)

Our number was certainly skipped but when I asked why I was told it had been announced a bunch (which I have a tough time believing since we heard all of the other numbers and were sitting immediately outside...). Once seated, the service itself leaves a fair amount to be desired as it seems like they're too busy for their own good. The bathrooms were nice, which was convenient. And there was free Wifi, which made the 15-20 minute wait not terrible. There aren't so many options in the immediate vicinity so I'm not sure how the others compare. Since I like the "Gemütlichkeit" of traditional, the choice was easy. The interior is in any case of high quality and shows some upperclass style. Strange however that there are continuously guests walking in to pick-up their take-away pizza's. It is bit like not making a choice between being a classy restaurant or a pizzeria with take-away service. The menu is reasonable priced and shows a combination of traditional Austrian and Italian dishes (including pizza's). Next to the menu there are also a few dished of the day. The menu was for me very appealing and I had difficulties choosing. You never know to road not travelled. The waiter was fast and efficient, but didn't give a welcoming feeling. The waitress that didn't take care of us, sounded more friendly. The waiters attitude was even more expressed when we asked for kids menu options or dished with smaller portions (as you sometimes see for senior guests). There was actually none. For our six year old daughter we could order a normal adult plate or a starter. The latter would have been strange, who orders carpaccio, vitello tonato or steak tartare for a six year old daughter. A regular main dish remained the only option. Fortunately they had the pizza's and asked whether they could make a small pizza. Again the answer of the waiter was no. In the end we ordered a 10 euro pizza for our 6 year old daughter knowing that it would be way too much #foodwaste. This doesn't feel right and not very hospitable. Proactive thinking on what could be possible would have been appreciated; this would have been truly welcoming and hospitable. The food itself is above any doubt. Fresh ingredients, well prepared and very tasteful. I enjoyed the Zwiebelrostbraten, especially the sauce was divine. The salad (extra) was well sized and had a good vinaigrette. My wife had the spinach Knödel (three) and was delighted by taste, but size wise relatively small. The oversized pizza for my daughter was at par. My conclusion: The food is excellent (would have been 5 out of 5), but the hospitality ruins the experience. Final score 3 out of 5.

I can tell you that Sto bene is the real deal!!! But first, we had to try the bruschetta with their homemade pesto sauce. Ah-mazing! Probably the best I've had. We also tried their red wine by the glass, and it was very, very good. When the carbonara came out, I couldn't wait to dig in. The crispy bits of bacon were tasty and the dish was seasoned perfectly. All in all, a fantastic meal. The only downside, no air conditioning and their pizza oven heats up the entire restaurant, not it's worth it!!!
