He seemed so confident and acted as if it were no big deal, so I sent him an e-mail with all pertinent pieces of information, including a good deal of research I'd already done, and I half-expected to have the letter the next day, based on what he communicated during our conversation. Fast-forward two weeks, and I've heard nothing, so I get back in touch to see the status, and I'm passed off to a paralegal, who asks me for some information I've already provided and wants to set up a phone meeting. I explain it's much easier for me to converse via e-mail, and she agrees, then days go by without receiving the questions via e-mail. Three more months of this sort of interaction transpire with her saying she's going to e-mail me or setting up phone appointments that she no-shows after I've arranged my day around being available to her. In the end, they submitted the letter directly to the dealership without first having me review it. It contained typos and did not include the demands I asked for in the beginning, which I have in writing that Mr. Quitmeier agreed was the right approach. Instead, they called the dealership a few more times and were apparently ignored, so they claimed they'd done all they could, and informed me it was not safe to take my vehicle to that dealership anymore, because we've angered them. I ended up with no money, a lot of wasted time, and now I can evidently never own a Honda without driving 25 min to have it serviced at the next dealership. Our last interaction was in January, when I asked for a document stating what calls were made to the dealership, but have yet to receive it. Mr. Quitmeier and his assistant were always pleasant when speaking to them, but their performance did not come close to matching their conversation.

Dragging us along so he can con more money, The only thing he was good at was giving receipts for the money he took. Which appeared to be all he was concerned with. If you want someone who will work for you and do what you're paying him to do, find a competent lawyer outside of this office. After I tried to talk ti him about the way he talks and disrespects my mother. He hung up on started refusing to speak to me. Over three years and $8000 all we have is receipts. Like I said we still haven't been to court it took him a year and a half just a file for a deposition but after that we were so committed financially. They say lawyers are crooks but this one cons you by trying to make him feel sorry for him. Playing on sympathy. Why can't you do this in court to help her case. There are a lot of advertising injury attorneys out there. Out of the ones I consulted with, I was impressed with my conversation with Kevin McManus. He had a caring personality and a sense of humor. He shares his office with his sister, Bridget, who was in fact our direct legal council. She was nice and courteous with contacting us and answering any questions when the paralegals didn't have the answer. Communication was prompt and often through a quick text with detailed information. The office uses an informative application to handle the litigation process and for most laypeople who don't understand what the law office is and isn't responsible for, the application conveys and outlines what steps come next. There are pamphlets with detailed answers to most common questions. From the moment we retained services with McManus Law until our settlement, the total period was about eight months. The settlement amount was surly more than I actually imagined. Looking back, I would encourage anyone to retain McManus law or an injury attorney in general for an auto accident or work injury because the settlement is not one that someone could negotiate with the insurance company on their own. The only issue that I have is that in retrospect, there was some question about whether or not a letter was ever sent on our behalf to a particular medical billing office. I was told that they sent information to the medical billing offices notifying that both me and my husband were being represented. However, I was told that they could not promise whether or not a medical office would send our bills to a collector, and that we may consider paying the bills or submitting them through our insurance. At some point I had one of their paralegals contact the physical therapist billing office to inform them of representation and she had informed me that this was something that I had to do, and they didn't. Once I contacted the law office, they apologized and explained how she didn't handle this well. The billing unfortunately at the Physical Therapy office was not handled correctly either, on their end they had submitted my bill to our medical insurance. The billing should have been handled through the Physical Therapy Accident department. Once settlement was reached, I was told by my attorney that I would have to contact the billing office for the physical therapy and handle the remaining amount since it was billed through our insurance, and what our insurance had paid was reimbursed directly from the attorney's office through settlement. I later contacted the physical therapy billing office and discovered the first bill wasn't ever submitted through any insurance, and I had to pay it now? They informed me that my attorney should have sent a letter requesting bills be held until settlement. I wondered and thought back to that paralegal. I only wonder whether this letter sent a letter by my attorney (or should have been paralegal) was ever sent to the correct department to offset any bills until after settlement. I am sure that McManus law had sent this letter, but just don't know because of how the paralegal had told me early on this was something that I had to handle and discuss with those billers on my own. So, it makes me wonder if the correct bill rep for accidents ever received this letter. I tried being proactive with my case, but there is only so much one can do.

They just got 2 contuances and they want their money for service not preformed because everyone is sick!!! I may reach out to the bar association. I'm tired of this dishonest law firm not keeping me informed and demanding payments. No one is ever in their office in Belton. I can prove my whereabouts. I am INNOCENT OF ALL CHARGES. Yet the very first attorney I spoke with said, " we will make a plea for a lesser charge. " I'm not pleading anything but NOT GUILTY.
