I say keep looking. There are many probate attorneys on Cape Cod. When he noticed I was posting negative reviews on the web, attorney Tim McNamara sent me this email: "It has been called to my attention that you are posting disparaging comments on the internet about my firm, so that you have put me in a position that I cannot communicate with you any further. Please either remedy these comments and send me a complete list of where you have posted them, or have your attorney contact me." Sounds like a veiled threat but of course it's an empty one unless Congress has repealed the first amendment without telling anyone. In his response, seen below, McNamara claims I am not a client. What he means is the estate is his client. Well, I'm 25% of the estate so of course I'm a client. He's doing what lawyers do best: play word games. Yet another reason to avoid this firm. I'm sure he expects the estate to pay his fee when this is over, and I'll be expected to pay my 25 percent. Wow, what a jerk this guy is.
