Featured equipment brands include Pure, Rogue, Gymleco, Newtech, Panatta, Nautilus, & more. This is a great option for those who take strength training seriously. I got a chance to speak with the owner and he was super friendly and enthusiastic about what they have to offer. Would love to see more functional fitness equipment to compliment the sled and resistance bands they already have. There is a poster up front that states there's equipment still on the way so I'm excited to see everything come together within the next few weeks!

It is hard to miss and is not visible to the street view. As you walk in the place is very cute and very clean. The ladies that work there are very friendly and very informative/helpful regarding any questions you may have. Our instructor was very nice. I totally forgot her name. She was awesome, she's very interactive in the class. She does walk around the room periodically to make sure you are in the right position which is quite helpful because I can tell you I had no clue as to what I as doing. The whole class was awesome, we all definitely felt the burn. By the way, it was the Barre Classic class which is recommended for beginners. It's a mixture of yoga, stretching and ballet moves, which by the way, were awesome practises that you can do at home. Who knew about these ballet moves?? When the class was over she interacted with us for a bit which was nice. They have a lot of specials/deals right now that are awesome. The one class by itself was $20. It was totally worth it. I can't tell you it was worth it because I could hardly get out of my bed this morning. I will definitely be back with my friends!!

Barre Life had a great introductory special: unlimited classes for two weeks for only $40. Yay! So the studio is very nice and clean on the inside. The outside is not much to look at, though there is plenty of parking. The lobby is spacious, they have retail, and the front of the house staff are friendly. There is also a large women's locker room--always a plus. I took 3 classes at Barre Life: Sculpt and two level 1 classes. I was pleasantly surprised by the variety that the studio offers--I think it's great that there are different classes depending on what you're looking for (beginner, advanced, more ballet-oriented, etc). I enjoyed Sculpt the most, as it was somewhat similar to what I'm used to at Pure Barre. I like a more fast-paced and intense class as well as using different props, such as weights, balls, and resistance bands. I also enjoyed the music, which was upbeat and current. What prevents me from giving a higher rating is related to the instruction. During one class, I was actually discouraged when I challenged myself to hold a pose--I was told by an instructor to stop when she saw that my thigh muscles were shaking. Also, I never saw any of the instructors go around the room and adjust people's forms, and I could see that several people needed adjustments, including myself. I found this to be problematic because if you don't have the correct form, you could easily injure yourself--especially your back. Maybe other instructors are more conscientious about that, though. All in all, there were more positives than negatives, but the instructor contributes heavily to the experience in my opinion. I would still try Barre Life when I visit Oakville again, since it is still a great workout.

Even though I explained to her that I was promised an exception. She could have waited for me to finalize my workout. No, she had to interrupt in a very abrupt way. After finalizing it, I canceled my membership.it was very misleading allowing me to join the gym just to make me going through such a disrespectful experience. Alyssa should get a better training on customer service. I have been training with my personal trainer for 3 years via Google meet, thus developing a friendship and a professional relationship. I have already found a new gym that values my business and is open to new technologies. It gets very busy during peak hours which I avoided. I only joined one health because it is a walking distance. There are much better options, Where unhappy female member doesn't complain about seeing a respectful and quite member like myself working with a trainer via Google meet and where the GM is polite and got people skills.

I couldn't find how to set up the Netflix and the Bluetooth wasn't working on the machines so I asked the girl working there for help. I was here with a student, training him at the basketball court. some man In his 40s was getting very frustrated that we kept beating him. so he grabs my neck and starts to choke me. it took maybe 4-6 other grown men to get him to stop. he then tried to assault the minor. Mind you over a game of basketball. and when lifetime brought us in to mitigate the issue they were great with all these empty claimed promises. they promised to ban the other member if I did not press legal charges. i Still have 3-5 witnesses that were there that day. many of them are current active members still. but regardless the matter. lifetime told me they would ban the other member. so I was content with that as I was a daily guest at lifetime most times 2-3 times a day. the staff there all know me and my family. i can have at least 10 workers there vouch for me that I would go at least 2 times a day 5/6 am and 7/9 pm everyday. Regardless I noticed the member lifetime told me they banned, was in fact not banned. is lifetime that greedy that they ignore an assault case they had on video on a minor and a guest Just for some extra money ? I cancelled my membership immediately after finding this out. I contacted Devin yesterday through email and he might have been the worst assist in history of customer reps. Anyways that's my 2 cents and I strongly advise you to pick another gym than lifetime. I have been working out with Scott for the past year and have been loving it! I have really enjoyed the combination of strength training and boxing within one session - keeping it fun while also being a great workout. Scott is great at motivating you to push harder without being too intimidating! I have noticed great improvements in my strength and endurance. I was there for a drop in on Saturday of Easter weekend…read more Setting it up was super easy...I emailed one of the coaches and heard back immediately and he encouraged me to come and even bring my kids for their Teen CrossFit. When I arrived the kids class was just finishing up and since another location was closed for easter weekend, the Saturday class was relatively large. We all did introductions and started with some group stretches. We played some dodgeball, then did the actual workout. The coaches and members of Tidal CrossFit Bronte are all amazing!!! As an outsider, they were inviting and when we had to partner up, someone immediately asked me if I would like to work with them. Even during the workout (which lasted almost 30min) the coaches were paying attention to form and were encouraging people by name. The amazing part were they could coordinate and organize the workout despite the number of people that were there. The facility it self is HUGE, clean, and well organized. I have been to many CrossFit's around the US and this was one of my favorites. If you live in the local area or are even visiting, make sure to check our Tidal CrossFit Bronte!!!
