This is not the classic idyllic hotel lost in the middle of some German forest (well, my colleague and I got lost in the nature preserve nearby trying to find a local pizzeria with no name in the middle of a foggy night. The Blair Witch Project part 2). The hotel is mostly a guest house (I am still surprised how this popped up in the list of recommended by my company, probably because of closeness to the company we were going to visit next day).
It seems more like some old lady big house where she rents out all the rooms. With real old school metal key that does not open the door. Nothing awaiting in the minibar. Restaurant closed (looks like they do only breakfast and catering but we were starting and the lady in reception, i think the owner, invited us to walk in the foggy darkness to find the named no name pizza place).
I kept a chocolate from the city from day before in my bag, so I had a fancy dinner with myself, choco and water in a 70s decored room. Good place to sleep and have a nice cozy breakfast with freshly hand delicious German breads, but don't expect luxury. read more
