The artists are all local and they seem to price very affordably. I was there at Christmas and was able to check off a lot of gifts. It felt great to buy original artwork rather than things that were mass produced in China. ( I probably would have spend about the same amount) My shopping experience was totally non-pressure. The artist working was really nice and helpful. She suggested visiting the museum upstairs which I enjoyed. It's located in downtown Grants Pass on a street with lots of charming cafe's and shops, so you can really make an afternoon of it.

Normally admission is $7 for adults. The lady at the front counter was so friendly. I started by going upstairs where they were having a small craft show. Meet some lovely people with amazing skills. Spoke with each vendor about their art pieces and even bought a few items for Christmas gifts. We then walked around the couple spaces upstairs with exhibits. The upstairs building itself is beautiful. Arched ceiling and old doors. The art on display was a variety of local artists and different styles. We then went downstairs to see a rescheduling art display. I appreciated the beadwork and PNW themed creations. In total, we were there for less than an hour. There's not a lot to see but what was there was nice. They have a good size gift shop but minimal things to purchase. Seems like a missed opportunity. I feel there should be some local artist items as well as Coos Bay trinkets that support local artists talents. I'm sure there are locals who would give a portion of their sales to the museum. Maybe rotate vendors quarterly? I don't know. I just know there wasn't much to purchase or show interest in supporting the museum. All in all it was a nice visit. The outside looks really fun and I know my kids would have enjoyed it as well. We had a great time exploring all the different stations. They liked the nursery and water station the best. A great way to escape the heat but bring a jacket because they keep it cold! just mom and gma felt cold not the kids... Everything was clean and the staff was friendly too. They also had a octopus visiting that was donated from a local boat. Overall great learning and clean and organized. Not large so only takes 30-45 minutes and cost is $5 per adult, kids free and funds help with the research.

Then they decided to move locations, and implement a preschool, and overnight developed some superiority complex, thinking that they can kick out the babies at 11:30, because their "preschool" is starting. Nowhere do they mention this as I'm purchasing an unlimited day pass. I walked in there one day only to be kicked out, not even a half an hour later. Not even a free pass, apology, nothing, just orders... so much for being loyal...no more. Stop supporting businesses, even if they're local, if they don't appreciate your business.
