TLDR: One part of the project was good, the other was completely substandard. If you are looking for Quality, steer clear of their siding installers.
Porch Materials were delivered on 6/26/2023 without any warning, we were expecting 4-6 weeks remember? A call or some notice would have been nice. Siding materials delivered 6/27/2023, again with no notice. We both work and this caused a disruption for us both.
The porch crew showed up 6/28/2023, again with no notice and did the demo of old porch overhang and installation of new, in one day. During Demo they dropped the old overhang on our storm door which ruined it. The Project Manager told us that if we bought a new door they would install it for free! I told them I didn't believe that was right and wanted a new door installed at their expense. He conceded and sent us some sample pictures of a new one from Menards but I wish we had got our own. I had asked for the support pillars to be centered on the existing cement pilings except for one that would be removed and replaced. They used the same placement as the old porch which caused problems later. This problem caused a change to the decorative aspect of the pillars that we did not want. This is where I should have insisted that the salesman write it down. The porch crew did very well, was very courteous and cleaned up very nicely. When they finished, the overhang still needed soffit etc. that was to be completed by the siding team.
The siding crew showed up the next day, also with no warning. The short version is that they worked long hours but did not clean up well, leaving cigarette butts and handfuls of nails and scraps after leaving for the day. They also left two courses of scratched up and moved on to the next part. Their work was shoddy at best. I took pictures of dozens of places where their workmanship was substandard and presented them in the form of a document to the company and the Project Manager. He tried to address most of the issues and the majority that were fixed were done by him. They even left a CRACKED piece of trim around the garage door and called it good. All in all, about 18 of the 26 Plus Items were addressed. My wife stepped on TWO nails in our back yard, so I purchased a construction nail sweep to try to get all the nails out of my yard and spent hours collecting handfuls of nails because I didn't want to hit them with my lawnmower. If they had proper tools and could cut square ends and truer angles it would have looked a lot better. They even installed the box trim for all the lights off center, in a way that made it so I could not use the built in exterior light mounting boxes. It's as if they didn't care.
I told the Project Manager that I didn't trust them to install our replacement storm door, so he did it himself. He said he did the best he could, but it was not installed correctly, and the handle was not installed correctly. I will reinstall the door, making sure everything is square and it closes correctly.
At the end of the day the siding crew would have been happy to leave the terrible workmanship and go about their day with us none the wiser. That is what makes me the angriest. We saved a long time to be able to do this and it meant a lot to us. There are still things that I will try to fix myself, but I would never recommend this company for siding. I even sent a document, with before and after, pictures, to the owner with an offer to come visit and look at the quality of work they do and I never heard from them. If they really cared about quality they would have come taken a look.
If you read the BBB reviews, you will see a lot of May God Bless you platitudes but this company is not what it PROFESSES to be. If you are thinking about using them, save yourself some grief and ASK harder questions than I did, don't make assumptions, and make sure EVERY Detail is in writing. And then watch over every aspect of what is done. Honestly, if I didn't have to worry about being spammed, I would offer for people to come take a look before hiring them.
