My Mom's house in Kansas City suffered significant hail and wind damage in March. My handyman referred me to Charles Ross of Schoen's Roofing. I contacted him and he had one of his people (Zack) come out and inspect the damage the same day. Not only did the roof need to be replaced but the deck, apartment fence, window surroundings, gutters and downspouts and window screens also had hail damage. He suggested I file a claim with the insurance company which I did. The adjuster called me and said he would inspect the damage the next day AND that he could do it all by himself. I contacted Charles who told me that's how they do lowball offers and that he would have Zack meet with him (on a Sunday morning) and Zack pointed out all the damage. We filed the claim with the insurance company and they approved most of it which allowed Charles and his team to get started. Charles then filed supplemental claims to get most of the additional items approved and paid for. His team did an excellent job of removing and replacing the roof, gutters, and downspouts. He hired additional subcontractors to power wash the deck and fence, make minor repairs, and restain and repaint them to where they look new. The windows and screens were also fixed professionally. All work was completed within a few weeks and well before our closing date on the house sale. The roof also comes with a transferable 10 year labor warranty and 30 year impact resistant shingle warranty. Honestly am so shocked to see what kind of shady stuff the owner of Schoen's does and supports. The fact I've seen them pull out several other competitors signs along with saying they'll pay off peoples deductibles... which is illegal by the way. IRS WILL BE SEEING YOU IN THE FUTURE. (; Also hopped onto my roof and didn't do their job fully said I had hail damage and didn't even circle a thing. I know more about storm damage than your project manager does it seems, which is just sad that you don't educate your employees to be thorough. Which in this field is what people need against insurance companies. Not someone whose going to cheat the system and bulldog other companies clients they've already secured. 10/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND. YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOUR COMPANY. I've seen your company put on roofs too and y'all should be concerned about your futures and that coming back to bite you in the butt.
