This place is not the nicest looking spot, it's very small and lacks decor. It was very clean, which is very important, so it had that going for it. We went for a couples massage and I can say we both enjoyed it very much. We called before arriving to ask pricing and were told a couples massage was $700 pesos, so basically free if you are spending in dollars. However, after we received our massage and went to pay the ladies tried to up-charge us because they knew we were tourists. They really tried bumping the price, which we didn't appreciate. Once I started speaking in Spanish to them they realized they could not fool us and they brought the price back down. I want to make it clear that we normally over tip when we get good service, which we did receive good service, so we were planning on tipping even more because of how low the price was to begin with, but we don't appreciate being tricked into it. I don't like it when I get overcharged so that you can pocket the money. You get me? We still gave a very generous tip because it was a good massage, but I didn't like that they got sneaky and tricky at the end. Well worth it, this place provides clients with amazing massages at prices that even locals are shocked at. We found the place tucked away upstairs of a few boutiques and a cafe, in a cute building. It is fairly no-frills, just tables and a couple of rooms with relaxing music playing from a cell phone. As they tell you to undress, they mean everything. Don't be alarmed, it's just how they do things here! Our masseuses we excellent at what they did, better than many I have seen back home. The price for a couples massage; $700 pesos. Seriously. I've had some of the worst massages of my life in Mexico and a few of the best... this was one of the best. I definitely agree with Pat . The worst was at La Gruta for twice the price btw Pretty easy to find now. They have signs from the street to the second floor massage area. Called for an appointment and they squeezed me in right away. The massage room was cute with personal zen touches and relaxing spa music. A few little issues with the music and a little noise from the outside but I came for a good massage and Ana definitely delivered. Super fluid and strong massage motions with just the right amount of pressure on the deep side but not painful whatsoever. One of those massages where you know it's gonna be good from the first 20 seconds. She was very professional and had a gentle touch as well. She also used some aromatherapy which was awesome. Basically all the necessities you want for a good massage and all for 400 pesos. Highly recommend. When you feel like you're walking into a shady space for a massage - go with your gut. This was the worst massage I've ever had. The table squeaked as the masseuse worked on my back with a speed that made me feel like she was rushing to get home to dinner. The smell of the oil reminded me of cheap White Rain Apple soap and a bargain basement Christmas candles and was used with such excess that the hot shower I'd get at my hotel served as a light at the end of the tunnel. This is a modest room at the top of the stairs of a little courtyard shopping area (Plaza Golondrinas...look for the spa's signage). However, we had two excellent massages with Ana & Rosa...both were very good! The very affordable price is 400 pesos for 1 hour, only 700 pesos for the two of us at the same time in the same room.
