I've watched this man for years treat clients with the utmost respect. He has entered his appearance on several cases for clients that are running from a competitive bankruptcy attorney due to ethics violations. When you walk into office you see no bible, no ploys to suck you in. Just an honest man wanting to help those going through tough times get through it. As a client of another attorney ( whom is very unethical) I ran to John as I had referred many others who were facing the very same issues. Search the attorney regulations website and see who has those ethics violations, while doing that you will not see John's name. His integrity and respect for both clients and trustees is impeccable. I found myself having to move while in an open chapter 13. Needing to sell my home and purchase another seemed impossible. Not only was it possible, John's knowledge and respect for the trustees made my application to incur new debt happen on 24 hours. I'd seen cases that took weeks to get approval. So, along with that application to incur new debt came no hidden fees , unlike other attorneys this man saves you money to help you live again, debt free and able to sleep at night. Any attorney can receive a plaque when you spend money on advertising. I have referred many clients to John and get nothing but rave reviews and a big thank you. Do your research. Total lack of professionalism and zero empathy for clients in tough financial spots. Do not risk your legal safety here. I even brought the cash for the retainer downpayment and the second I walked in with the cash in hand he said "you can put that away you won't be hiring us today. I…read moreconsulted with him when President Obama was still in office, and during our consultation about my personal finances, he suddenly inquired about "What I thought about the President,". Being a liberal, I stated my support, and tried to redirect the conversation back to the point: my legal issue. However, he insisted on pulling up sites on the internet showing some sort of nonsense about how the President wore a ring that MIGHT have said something about "Allah" (which I researched later and found out to be false). At this point, I very clearly and even sternly said I was uncomfortable and said I would prefer to not keep discussing this topic...and yet he kept insisting! I eventually asked if I may actually switch my representation to his business partner, and he actually had the gall to argue with my reasoning! I eventually just excused myself and left the office feeling very, very disturbed by the encounter. Having prepaid my legal fees (prior to meeting Mr. Swift!), when I complained to his assistant about how I believed that Mr. Swift was "freaking insane," she returned my deposit and said that their business is built on his reputation, and they couldn't risk having an unhappy client, so they were declining my business. So much for truth in advertising! Mr. Swift was one of the most unprofessional, delusional, and even potentially harmful people I've EVER met, much less have consulted or worked with.
