My experience at Nonnenbräu, a quaint little restaurant on the outskirts of Landsberg am Lech in Bavaria, did lead me to write a comment. Nonnenbräu is family owned by Daniel, who as an excellent host personally greets his guest upon their arrival. His vigilant eye constantly ensures each table is serviced properly and timely by the friendliest staff in town. The restaurant has two table settings and depending on your mood you can sit in a casual Bavarian Room or in the adjacent room with nice linen set tables to wine and dine in a more formal attire. Either way, the ever-changing menu offers excellent quality at prices which are not out of the ordinary. My suggestion, make a reservation or you may have troubles getting a table!

Even though I spoke little German the staff went out of their way to get the order 100% correct. Try to get the corner table(it's nestled in the corner of the restaurant in a V shaped wedge). Nice views of the street. The restaurant is walkable up a hill from the old part of Landsberg. A must visit restaurant in Bavaria.

We found this place for dinner while visiting the beautiful Bavarian town of Landsberg AM Lech…read more It's in the neighborhood, not in the touristy area. It was a Thursday evening and they were completely booked. Luckily, they were able to accommodate us, a party of 7, in their quaint patio. I much prefer to dine al fresco anyway. There were a lot of local regulars, which is a great sign. This would be my regular place too if I lived in the area. We saw big parties and couples on dates. This decor is simple and functional, no frills. This is a long established family run business and their food was really good. Our favorite was the seafood platter, the squid was soft and the fish flavorful. We dug in and forgot to take a picture of it lol. We also had the grilled meat platter, also very good and big portions. My son had a dish with grilled pork and mushroom sauce, he ate all of it. Overall, my family really enjoyed the food, atmosphere and service. A perfect end to our day trip to castles and small Bavarian towns. I wish them continued success so that I can return if I find myself in Landsberg Am Lech again.
