What an experience! We took the guided tour of the factory which included a narrated walkthrough of…read morethe museum, filled with the history of chocolate from farm to table, tons of tidbits and interesting information, and sampling galore.
Tasting started with a liquid cacao fruit juice, served cold in a little bottle, which was refreshing. We tasted a chocolate version from 1800s before the introduction of the smoothing mechanism and after....Amazing. Additionally, we enjoyed cocoa nibs, melted chocolate, chunks of chocolate infused with fruit and aromatic essences, iconic round truffles, and one final square of chocolate.
Our guide was informative, funny, energetic, and used props to introduce topics and show and tell. The factory is sleek, clean, tidy, and welcoming.
