School of Rock is a fantastic program! Kids work harder at learning their parts because their band mates are counting on them. How great is it that they get to perform live, in real entertainment venues!! I've had 3 kids in the program and they've all found a great network of friends with similar interest. I've participated as well in the Adult program for several seasons and it is AWESOME! So much fun! The instructors are so supportive. Its like a big, fun, rocking family. I would highly highly recommend School of Rock to anybody who wants to learn an instrument or dreams of becoming a rock star. read more

I like that my daughter had both a band practice and a one-on-one lesson each week, I think that really helped build an understanding of her instrument and how it worked with others. My favorite part was hearing it all come together at the concert. After hearing only one aspect of the songs for a few months, it was hard to tell exactly how well she was doing. Seeing it all come together and watching how enthusiastic the kids are about what they'd been working on was really refreshing. read more

I've enjoyed hearing what my son has learned each week. I ask him about which bands he listened to and which instruments he played during class. He is always excited to share it with me. He is in the Little Wings program and has been for a year. He really likes it and asked me the other day when he will be ready to join the band. He has been to the performances and he wants to be up on stage like the older students. I am looking forward to seeing him grow in the program. read more

When we first moved to Fort Wayne, I wanted something that my son could get into that would allow him to meet other kids and make some friends. We happened to drive by S.O.R. a couple of times and I decided to find out more as my son had been wanting to learn to play electric guitar. I like the fact that you aren't just learning scales but actually learning songs. I think that by doing this you are showing kids that there is other music genres than what they would normally listen to. By also putting on shows they learn what it takes to put on a show from the prep work to set up to tear down. I also like that they get to meet other kids that may or may not have the same interests in music but are still coming together to put on a good show. read more

Great place for kiddos (& adults!) to foster their love of music. Instructors are all so positive & high energy. It's also awesome that the Owner takes the time to get to know everyone and greet them by name.
