We have a membership here and come often. Such a nice place to bring toddlers, as everything seems to directly appeal to that age range. There are several little areas and they all provide and fun, immersive and enriching space for little ones to explore. We come here and easily spend several hours playing. Also appreciate that they close everyday to sanitize everything. The employees are nice and one gentleman in particular is so kind and great with my son, allowing him to "help" with little tasks. Having a toddler means having to always have something planned for one's weekend. We recently checked out Schoolhouse Children's Museum and really enjoyed it! Best of all, so did our son. There's 2 stories with various rooms and activity stations perfect for curious minds. On the second floor there's an indoor slide/gym and also a Toddler Cove for the younger kids to play. It could be the building itself but it has a lot of windows snd great light which makes this place feel light and fun. We ended up enjoying it so much we bought a membership before leaving. While our son is not yet 2, they offer many different classes for various age groups. Definitely looking forward to our future visits. So much fun! We are visiting from out of town and knew it would be bad weather so I was looking for indoor things to do with my son. This place was a hit! When we first walked in I was afraid we made a mistake and it would be too advanced for my 13-month old, but there was so many things he could get into that he was entertained for hours. There's 2 levels, downstairs they have a farm and train theme. Upstairs is a gated toddler play area for ages 3 and under, but there was definitely older kids in there (which was fine just wanted to note that) and then there's a mangrove play gym with tunnels and a slide. On the other side there's themed play like Dr, truck driver, mail man. My son loved the whole downstairs are and was absolutely obsessed with the slide upstairs. Cindy was extremely nice and helpful when we checked in, we did not make a reservation but it was fine. Parking was very easy, they have a large free lot right there. I want to note that it was EXTREMELY CLEAN!!!!!! I am so impressed by how clean. My son is just learning to walk so he still crawls and after we left his hands, feet, and knees were not visibly dirty AT ALL. Very impressed about that. I did not see the bathrooms so can't attest to how clean they are. We will definitely return! read more

What a cute little spot this is and worth the drive from PBG on a super hot or rainy day. This 2-store, explore & learn, indoor playground was a ton of fun for both my 2- and my 9-year old! From the interactive puzzles and structures to the slide and imagination stations, there is hours of fun to be had to be here. If it's not too hot outside, the outdoor play structures looked amazing. There's one for the toddlers and one for the bigger kids to explore. Loved that they took reservations for each playtime to avoid overcrowding. Juice boxes are available for purchase, but no snacks. Parking is easy - lots of spaces. It's best to make a reservation, but that doesn't guarantee you immediate entry if the place is very full. One of the best museums for children I have visited. It is a museum that is designed for children to explore and learn about different areas. On the first floor, the museum is divided into two large rooms which consist of a farm, in which your child can learn about fruits and vegetables, the manufacture of milk, different animals that are on the farm and there is a small kitchen for the child to have fun. In the second room, you will find a very large train so your children can understand the importance of the Florida East Coast Railway, a window to make shows with stuffed animals and we can find a table to have a tea party at the original Boynton Beach Hotel. The second floor of the museum is divided into three rooms. In the first room, your child can explore and learn about the general store, doctor's office, post office, and main street. In the second room is known as the water world, your children can explore and learn about the native animals of Florida, play with puzzles, and steer a boat and imagine what it is like to fish in the waters of Florida. The last room is the classroom which is for museum programming, special events, birthday parties, or field trips inside one of our original classrooms. Such a cute spot for kids. They have activities for all interests. They also have a toddler area if your child is too young to play at the exhibits. We spent nearly an hour in a half there and my son could've stayed longer. They also have two playgrounds in the back of the building. Make sure to make a reservation online ahead of time as they only allow so many guests at one time. I would definitely come back again. read more

Excellent place for parents with kids in early ages there is a lot of activities that they can do. Very informative for a toddler that is discovering different environments, well organized and fairly cheap donation plus not payment for parking. Just be aware of making a reservation once they get the full capacity they will close and not allow more guests. read more

Always a good time with the younger kids. This place is tailored for the 5 and under age range, but our friend's 9 year old still had a blasty blast! Worth it! Military and Veterans get in FREE. But it's still only $5 a ticket. Covid safety and sanitation is top notch. The close mid day to clean. You have to reserve a time slot. But we had no issue showing up with an extra person. Wow, I love this museum. It is not only super cute, really well-designed, but also extremely clean. If you have children, which you probably are if you're attending a children's museum. You know that a cleanly and clean environment in a children's museum is a must and it's not that easy for museums to achieve. I absolutely love this place it's super cute and amazing it's so fun. My four-year-old and his bass pod had a blast playing dress-up they did doctors, they fed the cow and learn how they made milk, they have a train that you can do story time inside. It was just fabulous. It is hands-down way better than the Boca children's museum like two hands down. read more

This place is so cool, for my son's age (20 months) at least. For a reasonable admission price ($10 = $5 for an adult and $5 for a kid over 1), two floors of activities can keep a kid entertained. There is enough space in the rooms for (young) kids to explore without feeling boxed in; they can run around if it strikes them. The museum is low-tech, old-fashioned and very local (therefore, unique!). My son can try out different types of play, by himself or with others. Some features include: small indoor playground with tunnels and a slide, an abundance of wooden puzzles, a lego station (the big chunky kind of littles), a brio train set, a hand puppet area, a tea party spot, a pretend kitchen with sink and those wooden food items that velcro together, a pretend train, a pretend grocery store, pretend flower shop, pretend post office, pretend doctor's office complete with an array of baby dolls and clothing for them- and more. We also attended the sensory class for 18 months - 5 years. It was cute and worth the $5 class fee. An hour was not enough time for my son to check out everything. Many activities are definitely too old for my son, but I like seeing what he is and isn't into right now. I personally enjoyed being in an air-conditioned, child-proofed space where my son can explore safely. I may be writing this a bit prematurely, as I've only been here once, but I'll try to update this after a few visits! We did reach the end, and I did begin to wish that there was another floor, more rooms to explore, and meals to purchase (they sell juice boxes but little else). Just a note: Directly behind and adjacent to the museum is a public park that is very appealing to children, as it is a shaded, fenced wooden castle park, and it's nice to be able to spend time here after the museum. Adorable, informative, and most importantly FUN! My 1 and 8 year olds loved the train, rotary phone, and park next door. My toddler was smitten with one of the employees, and she was gracious in playing with him and walking with him when he wanted her hand. He has a speech delay and she went along with his babbling. I was hesitant to drive an hour, but I'm glad we did. It was perfect for my 2 under 2. I think there's 4 or 5 rooms with different themes but all based around the cities history. There's even a little fenced in tot area. There's also a little play area outside. Would recommend if you are looking for a cheap activity for toddlers. read more

We love this children's museum. Our kids are 1,5 and 3 and we've been there twice. I believe kids up to 10 years old can enjoy this museum (be cause there is à lot of things to read and learn) but I think it is probably best suited for kids 5 and under. Very well made and informative hands-on exhibitions. For instance, the kids can learn about how a pepper farm works, the dairy industry, the making of railroads, etc. There are also houses where kids can play kitchen or tea time and a small peppet theater. On the second floor (accessible by stairs or elevator), kids can play in the post office, general store and doctor's office. There is also a room with a crocodile theme playset with tunnels and a slide. Outside, there is a large park where kids can climb, hide, run, slide, ... Next to it is a smaller one for younger kids. All in all, great place to take the kids. Fun, informative, fairly priced, and most of all, a place where kids can be kids! read more

The museum is designed for children 10 years and younger. Adults can be a kid again too if they want. The exhibits are hands on and the children can learn how to milk a cow, drive a car, play doctor, go grocery shopping, color, and much more. You can even dress up and act like you're cooking or operating a train. There's an indoor play area with a crocodile slide and puzzles for everyone. It's two stories full of things to learn about and have fun at the same time. If you want to get outside, they have a huge playground to explore. I would have let my child play at the outdoor play area and saved the admission. The areas are minimally interesting; geared toward VERY small children. 2/3 year olds might be interested. I was particularly bothered that some older children (7/8) were playing very roughly (unsupervised); running, yelling- crawling over my 4y/o in a tube! The staff walked by and called in to have them"keep it down", nothing more. As I was leaving I said something to the woman who had just finished teaching a class. She apologized thoroughly and advised us never to come on Thursdays: that's when they have a class for older kids. (The parents of the older kids heard although they made no attempt to control their kids; still misbehaving before them). The teacher did spend the time to show us the butterfly garden and explain their project. She also gave us passes for a future date. read more

Really awesome indoor play and educational area for my two year old. I think it would be great for ages 1-6/7? We just started going but are excited to attend some of the additional programs and events they host. It is a two story museum with 4-5 different themed areas. My toddler loved it. Something we could go to weekly and he would not get bored. We spent 2 hours there and he was having a wonderful time. Great, friendly staff. A gem for this area! I have a 6mo old as well. I would wear him in a cattier next time (I brought my stroller). It is all stroller accessible and there is stroller parking which is nice, but would definitely be easier to just wear him next time for moving around and chasing my toddler. We went on a Friday afternoon and it was no crowded at all. I imagine weekend of course would be a bit more crowded but totally worth it for the kids. read more

My 2 year old toddlers had so much fun! There is so much to do and explore! We have yet to attend one of the classes. I'm sure they will enjoy it. The only reasons I decided to give it a rating of 4 stars is because parking is limited, some older children are left to run wild in there, and some items seemed a little old or were out of order. Other than that it seems to be maintained pretty well and the membership is worth it if you plan to visit the museum on more than one occasion.
